As PORTAL user using sql, I could query view orasso.wwsso_audit_log_view , but this view is not accessible for normal users in the portal. So I can't access this view in a dynamic page portlet.

Ton,
create a PL/SQL function in the Portal schema that accepts username as a parameter and returns required data. Grant execute privilege on that function to PUBLIC or to a DB schema in which you are building your portlet.

When the last time a datafile was used

Hello.
This is from Solaris box, running Oracle 8.1.7.4.0.
There are two datafiles, actually three, that were created for three tablespaces. These in total take up more than 3G on the server and space is at a premium.
I suspect that these files can be removed but I need to understand when the last time they were used and if it is safe to remove them.
Each of these files was created as 800M files and each has 799.99M remaining.

it doeasn't help when you use ls -l, because the system checkpoint will upate all the datafiles(except the readonly ones)

SQL> !ls -ltr /tmp/*.dbf

SQL> alter system switch logfile;

SQL> !ls -ltr /tmp/*.dbf

SQL> alter system checkpoint;
System altered.
SQL> !ls -ltr /tmp/*.dbf

if you want to drop the tablespace, just simply run the following command. it should be successful if your TS is empty:
SQL> drop tablespace myts;
drop tablespace myts
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01549: tablespace not empty, use INCLUDING CONTENTS option
SQL> select segment_name,segment_type from dba_segments where tablespace_name='MYTS';
SEGMENT_NAME
SEGMENT_TYPE
MYTABLE1
TABLE
SQL> drop table MYTABLE1 purge;
Table dropped.
SQL> drop tablespace myts;
Tablespace dropped.
Or you can run the following command directly if you confirm to drop everything in this TS:
drop tablespace myts INCLUDING CONTENTS ;

I upgraded to Maverick OS X 10.9.5, numbers spreadsheet is saved. Upon re-opening, it appears to be frozen, a warning "file is invalid as index.xml file is missing". I checked, and the file is not "locked". This appears to occur only with using the new numbers app. When I open previous spreadsheets from old iWorks, no such problem occurs.
How did you resolve your problem?
Would appreciate any help here.

Another way would be using transaction STAT,enter the t-code you like to monitor.This will provide all details,like user, time etc...

The last time this happened, it was necessary for someone from Adobe to reinstall it entirely, if I remember correctly.
I give up. Can anyone tell me what I must do get the program to actually work?
I spend more time trying to get Adobe Acrobat to work, than I do actually doing my work.
My OS is Windows 8.1. My system has 16 MB of RAM, and hard disks are not overfilled.
I run update virus checker (Kaspersky) daily.

Could you please tell what are the challenges you are facing while trying to access Acrobat ?
Do you get any error message ?If yes ,please share the screen shot of the same.

OR
Try repairing it from Control panel, or try launching it with a different user account and check if it works or not.
Install the latest updates for Acrobat X from the link : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows
and check.

This is a strange question, not sure where you are going with this one. On the computer you Restored with, iTunes requests to back up the iPhone. These are time stamped and stored on the computer. You can use iTunes to search the list of back ups of your iPhone and see the dates, so you can at least see the dates of the back ups.

HT1386 For some reason my iPad won't sync anymore with my computer in iTunes the last time it would sync was on July 16

You are going to have to provide a few more details than my iPad will not sync.
Does iTunes see the device?
If it does recognize the iPad does anything happen at all?
Does the sync start and then stop?
Are you getting error messages?
