Hi there,
I just added someone on skype, but since sending a contact request only allows for a very limited amount of words to be sent with the request, I was wondering if I could send someone a longer message after the initial request. What I mean is, while I wait for the person to get around to accepting my request, it says 'contact request sent' at the top of the chat log and the bar that you can type to them in isn't greyed out; it seems like I can send them another message without having to wait for them to click accept. Will the person be able to see this message even though they haven't accepted my request just yet? I'm anxious to send them something before I forget so I wanted to know if I could do that while it still says 'contact request sent - resend contact request', and will they see it when I send it? thanks a bunch!

Yes, you can. I do it many, many times a day. If you're trying to send a message to someone who used to have an iPhone and who didn't disable iMessage before switching phones, they will need to unregister their number with iMessage:

I been trying to figure out how to send an urgent text message. I've had the phone since lst November and seems all I can do is send regualr text messages. How can u send an urgent text message so that it grabs the recipients attention to respond as soon as possible. don't know aside from calling someone. if they are unable to receive phone calls, then they are probably unable to receive texts. you could sending them an e-mail - perhaps they have a data signal?

Also MMS is supported on a carrier by carrier basis. While mostly every carrier does support ths feature make sure that your carrier allows this functionality.

For some reason I can't send or receive i messages on my ipad. This has just happened within the last few weeks. I think I have checked everything I can, so would be open to suggestions.
The facility to upload photos to facebook has also stopped working.
Don't know if it's connected ?

You must not be connected to wifi.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. Can I send someone (by email or dropbox or whatever) a preview copy of my iBook so that they can see how it looks on their iPad? (I cannot connect their iPad to my Mac as they are in a different country.

Or save it to your drive, put it on a server and give them the link.

Why I can't send any e-mail messages with 6230i?

Hi mates,
I have a Nokia 6230i with a Vodafone Italian sim card in it.
I know for sure that I CAN retrieve messages form my incoming POP3 e-mail server but I can't send any e-mail messages with it.
Any time I try to do that it prompts me an information balloon saying: message failed. Why??
I mean, I properly set up my phone with all Vodafone details but it still does not seem to work.
Any help will be appreciate

The only way I know of to save a Text message for printing is to copy it to your memo's and then print it out through the desktop software. Unfortunately there is no way to save a text message on the desktop otherwise and there is no way to print directly from the text message software. You can store them in the "saved" folder if you want as well, but that won't copy them to the desktop or allow them to print.

Same area, MMS Messaging is on? Should be.
If all else fails, go into Settings General Reset - Reset Network Settings (this will lose WiFi info but fixes a lot of messaging errors).

Make sure that MMS is "enabled" in message settings.
You need to have MMS configured and activated on your plan in order to send or receive photo messages/MMS. Confirm it from your carrier.
Once configured/activated, cellular data/3G is required to be able to send/receive MMS.

For around 2-3 weeks I can't send and receive text messages. When I try to text somebody, the message appears as "Not delivered". On the ! there are only 2 options: Try again and Cancel. If I choose to "Try again", the results is the same: the message is not delivered.
When somebody is trying to text me, the message appears as delivered on their phone, but does not reach mine.

Alright. im with koodo, my old phone was able to send and recieve, along with all my other old phones, but i dont know why i cant send or recieve any.

Have you called your Carrier Koodo to know if your account is provisioned with MMS services ?What happen when you try it this way :
Open SMS icon and compse an SMS.
Click on the Menu (BlackBerry) key.
Select Attach and select one of the options: Picture | Video | Location | Audio | Voice Notes | Contact | Appointmentl.
Complete attaching the file and the screen will show "Switching to MMS Mode, May incur extra costs".
And now MMS is ready to send.
Are you able to Send MMS now ? If not then please check those Knowledge Base Article :
