Can I set a home page for Safari on iPad Mini?

Very simple. Can this be accomplished? Am I missing a setting somewhere? My iPad Mini is fully updated, purchased in December 2012 as a Christmas gift to me. As new as can be. I use my business web page as my home page on Safari on every computer I own, so my iPad Mini is the only device I have not been able to set Safari to display as my start page on my iPad Mini.

It doesn't have a homepage setting as such, but you can go to a particular site and then create a homescreen shortcut for that page - then when you tap on that shortcut you'll be taken to that page.

Then just add it yourself. Do this:
Select any other value available in the com.apple.Safari manifest and then edit the raw xml. This can be done by doing the normal process described above but choosing something other than Home Page. I choose Download location. Then, click back on Accounts and go to the Inspector tab. If you do not have it enable, go WGM's preferences and enable the "show all records tab."
Once that is visible, select the account that you modified and then click the Inspector tab. From the list, find MCXSettings and turn the reveal arrow down. Select the MCX entry and press the edit pencil. You will see something like this:

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. Safari doesn't have a homepage as such, but you can create a homescreen shortcut for a particular page : go to the page that you want and then tap the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it to the left of the URL address field and you should get an option to 'Add To Home Screen'. You can then just tap shortcut on your homescreen to open Safari on that page (it will still re-open any other tabs that you had open when you closed Safari)

When a new window opens, I get a Google home page and can instantly type in a search phrase.
With the above in mind, sometimes I want to keep search classes in the same window. In a sense I'm using the Window with no tabs, to generate a tab by using the File Tab option.
When a Tab is selected where new windows will launch a new page, and not a new tab, the process of forcing a new tab onto the window will produce a tab page that is Blank, and the new tab label description displayed in the tab area shows the words "New Tab". That tab's URL address bar is blank. Zip - nothing displayed.
When a blank page tab appears, I click on the HOME button you helped me remodel, and the "New Tab" description in the tab label area changes from "New Tab" to "Google".
My question was to ask, if there was a way I could do something to make FF4 do that Home page assignment on its own. In the early FF days I found you could sometimes go into the bowels of FF, find some form of INI or SETTINGS type file, look for a Keyword reference that would tell FF to do something different, and Viola, emotional issue resolved. In this case, I'm trying to "Gild the Lilly" by asking if you, or someone else might have a rabbit they can pull out of their hat, just like you did when you helped me move my Home button, and have that rabbit show me how to do something that default FF-Options section doesn't support.

Can't reassign default home page for site connection

I am connecting to a site where index.php is the default home page. For some reason, it keeps pointing to index.html and of course comes up "page not found". I have edited the connection so that ONLY index.php is in the default page list (under index files tab), and it still looks for index.html.
I have deleted the entire connection, restarted contribute, navigated to the home page successfully during set up, only to have it look for index.html again. I have also manually typed in the full url and index.php in another set up attempt. I logged onto the server and deleted the entire folder that Contribute set up, thinking it was holding on to some information in the files there. I restarted contribute, created a new connection to the site, and it STILL is looking for index.html. It should be loading http://www.gotohudson.net but instead it's trying to load http://www.gotohudson.net/index.html.
HELP me get rid of that reference.....

You can set the Home Page each roles also. Follow the below mentioned steps to set the homepage for your site.
Steps:
1) Administer the website.
2) Select the role, to whom you want to set the homepage.
3) Click on Edit Role Setting.
4) In the General category, Choose the Home page for users in this role.
5) Click OK to save and exit.

No, you can't do that easily. If you click the Home page button then you always get normal tabs.
