Can I set an additional SSID?

I have a HH3 which I use for various wireless connections around the house.
I am taking bed and breakfast guests on a small basis this year, and would like to offer them wifi. I am slightly concerned about giving them my wifi password, as I guess this would open up some security issues for my data. I have read somewhere that one option is to set up an additional SSID for guests with a separate password, but I can't see an option for this in the hub manager.
Any ideas or suggestions?

If you are opted into BT FON, then the home hub already transmits two extra SSIDs, BTFON and BTOpenzone.
These are totally separate from your normal SSID. I would not give out your WiFi password, as you would be liable for anything that they may download.
Some guests may already have free access to this, either through their smartphone contract, or their own BT Broadband contract.
Other users can purchase vouchers for online access, you may wish to supply a "free" voucher as part of their booking fees.

BT Openzone is normally radiated from BT Business hubs as well.
If you are opening as a business, then you will need to have BT Business Broadband, as you are not allowed to use BT Broadband for commercial use.

thanksYou can't create mail folders on the iPad. If you are using an IMAP/Exchange account you can set up folder on another device and they will be reflected on the iPad. If you have an POP3 account there is no way.

You can create folders in iOS Pages in a manner similar to creating and using Folders as described in Chapter 3 of the iOS User Guide found as a special bookmark in Safari. Well worth reading.
In Pages Document View (where you see thumbnails of each document) tap on a document and drag it over another document to create a folder. Additional documents can then be dragged into the folder. To remove a document in a folder, tap, hold then drag out of the folder.
There are limits: each folder can only hold 20 documents and you cannot nest folders or place a folder inside another folder. -
We have a Windows 2003/2008 server-based network with a dedicated print server which we would like to be able to print to over Wi-Fi. How can I set up the printers on the iPad without downloading a third party application such as Print Central or Print N Share? I want to just click the arrow and "Print" then choose the printer, which doesnt show up. I want to be able to use the existing TCP/IP-based network that we have to reach these queues, not having to install Bonjour or AppleTalk to reach them.

KMQ7This would really be the "Holy Grail" right now. I think this a feature that every large organization requires. AirPrint works on a small scale, but is not really an enterprise class application. In addition it uses the Bonjour discovery process which is difficult in a large LAN WAN environment. For those that would remind me, I am aware of the enhancement link

How can I set up source IP routing
This is on a recent Macbook Pro, OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion. Maybe the question really belongs in a "networking" or "operating system" subforum.
A Linux example is:

It routes all packets with source address 10.45.37.70 via 10.45.37.69 as default gateway, regardless of destination address.

I have a few physically tiny Wifi routers. They can only act as NAT routers, and even block connections between internally connected devices. No problem, if I need a device to act as a server (VNC, sendmail, samba, webserver...) I set up a vtun (actually any VPN would do) between the device and a VPN server on my LAN. This way, the device gets an IP address that is reachable from my entire LAN. I can walk away and access the laptop from a smartphone, for example. And I can move data between 2 laptops while on wlan.
Outgoing connections should continue to use the normal wlan gateway. If everything would use the vtun gateway, that would cause a lot of unnecessary load on the server.
The source IP routing affects only reply packets to connections that come in via vtun VPN. The replies have the above mentioned source address that triggers the special routing. Without the special routing, the replies would be mangled by the NAT router.
I have, on a different VPN (lets call it "VPN2"), seen an alternative. This different VPN sets an additional default address, and according to a forum post I found, related to Snow Leopard, this would automatically select the best route based on source address and local links. This does not work well for me in the case of my VPN2 (everything goes down VPN2, it shouldn't), but maybe it will help in the vtun problem? Are multiple default gateways ordered in some way that affects routing?Yes, you can SPAN multiple ports, or multiple VLANs. This will SPAN ports 5/1 through 5/5. The spaces on either side of the dash are necessary.

Can I set up a review process in LiveCycle? Is what I want to do, at all possible? Anyone chime in.
What is the best way to set up a review process, without violating the EULA and having a form that is editable by the end user AFTER it is submitted.
Basically the process will go like this..
1. A user will log onto our website and click a link where he or she downloads a dynamic form.
2. The user will submit the form to multiple parties at once. (Conditional e-mail, depending on what sections in the form are filled out, different people will get the form)
3. The form will get reviewed, and if any changes need to be made, the person that originally filled out the form will need to get it back and make the necessary changes. (The forms are long, so they can't start from scratch).
4. After the changes have been made, the form will be re-submitted for final review.
5. After the form has been finalized, the completed form will be distributed to about 80 people within the company (attached to an e-mail or something) and these people will use the data within the form to populate what they need to.
Additional information:
-I am the only one that has Acrobat 9 Standard OR Professional.
-Everyone else has Reader only
-The forms are dynamic
-They have to be posted to a website

You can Reader Enable a form in Acrobat v9 Standard, however note the EULA with the restriction on 500 unique recipients. If it is going out to less than 500 you are not limited to the number of data processes that you undertake on the form.

You would need to Reader Enable the form before you put it up on the web page.
You can script a regular button to submit the form to user-entered email addresses. See here: http://assure.ly/eUR4wJ. The first email button could be used to send out the form for review. The last section in the form could be a text field to allow reviewers to add comments and a second email button that would issued the amended form back to the originator for further action.
Both email buttons would get their email address(s) from completed fields in the form. In addition the email submission can be set up to return the PDF form and not just the data. IF the form is Reader Enabled then users with Reader will be able to complete this action.

If you haven't enabled Mail in System Preferences>iCloud then you should do so, and you will be asked to create an @icloud.com address.
If you have already done this and have such an address you can add three more in the form of 'aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.

System Preferences > Accounts > ...
Click on the lock in the bottom left and enter your Admin Username and password.
Click on the Plus [+] button under the left column.
Create a new user, generally NOT [ ] allow user to administer this computer.
This user is completely separate, can have their own email, their own desktop, and cannot mess up your settings on shared Applications or email. They WILL have access to Applications in /Applications, but not the ones in /Users/<yourname>/applications.
If you need additional restrictions, use Parental Controls. -

I've tried ondemand and userspace governors but the situation is the same whit both of them, I always get hardware limits 1.30 - 2.10 GHz.
I've also tried to set the processor.ignore_ppc=1 boot flag, but it was selfish.
Someone could help me ? At least to set the lower frequacy to 900MHz so I can save a bit of battery.

How can I set a polygon's path by using the .add() function?
I have been searching the web and this forum and doing plenty of experimenting, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this.
I can set other attributes of a polygon inside the add() parentheses, such as the fillColor, but I can't set the polygon's path's pathPoints unless I use a separate line of code after the add(); line.
My script adds a great deal of polygons in a row, so halving the number of operations would greatly help me, and also it seems that some properties such as appliedObjectStyle cannot be set until after a polygon's path is defined. That means I need a third line of code after add() and entirePath=, which slows me down even more.
Help?Ryan, I think you need to reset and take a moment to understand what it is that is going on here.
The things you've proposed that don't work shouldn't work, and it's all quite simple.
Generally speaking, a .add() function takes an additional parameter, a JavaScript Object, that list properties of the created object that can be set.
A JavaScript Object is a list of key/value pairs, just like an associative array in a language like perl, or a dictionary in a language like Python. It is expressed in curly braces as such:
{ key1: value1, key2: value2, key3: value3}
So, for any such general add function, these
foo = whatever.add();
foo.bar = baz;
are equivalent to this:
foo = whatever.add({bar: baz});
Are you with me? So, for instance, you had originally asked why you could not use pathPoints in polygons.add() and the answer is simpe. You cannot set polygon.pathPoints, because there is no .pathPoints property of a polygon.
So, when you want to try add properties inside properties, you must do as as objects within objects, and follow the strict hierarchy. Marc advises that this works:
app.activeWindow.activePage.polygons.add({

transparencySettings: {dropShadowSettings: {angle:120}}
and if indeed that is so, then the extension for setting multiple transparencySettings should be clear. It is not this, that you propose:

transparencySettings: {dropShadowSettings: {distance:1}}
Because to do so is to set the transparencySettings key twice in the same Object. And to do that is to replace the first with the second. The above (yours) is wholly equavelent to:

If you wish to set more than one attribute of dropShadowSettings, you must set transparencySettings to an object containing one and only one dropShadowSettings, and you must do it only once. So it is this:

I am not sure why you thought you should have the name of the key in the Object named properties. That is probably because in some cases you can use:
foo.properties = { a: 1, b: 2};
as a shorthand for
foo.a=1;
foo.b=2;
but you would [probably] never want to mix that with the object notation for setting multiple properties in the .add() function.

It's not about the use of brackets or parentheses, but what they mean and where they go. As you have not posted an example of setting the polygon's path the long way, it's hard to show you how to shorten it. Post what you have that works, and we will show you how to shorten it. (I suppose some with more patience than I are willing to go look up what we think it is you are trying to do, and then interpret it. But I would much rather you show me the code you have that works, and then your attempts to transform or shorten it and change its notation. This makes it much much easier to help you, and it should also make the help more effective, by contextualizing it. As an added benefit, when someone else reads your post and tries to learn from it, they will gain more.)
So again, please provide a clear example of the "long way" to do the thing you are attempting, and then your attempt at shortening it. -
