Can I set different input range in different channel in cFP AI100

Dear Sir:
I have one question about the input range of cFP AI 100. Can I set different input range for different channel in one cFP? Also, can I set different input type (voltage or current) for different channel in one cFP? If yes, how? Thanks.
Best Regards.
Fred

Hi Fred,
The answer to both questions is yes. In MAX, in the Channel Configuration Tab of your cFP-AI-100, you can specify your range to be one of a number of settings for current or voltage. To configure separate channels, simply select the channel and then select the range. See the attached screenshot for more details.

  • Input range for different channels

    Hi,
In one of my experiments, the data I acquire in different channels have different magnitudes (in Volts). Therefore, I am trying to set a different input range to these various channels. Here's a picture (input_range.png) of a part of my VI where I am trying to assign input ranges to the analog input channels.
Channels ai0-7 have the range +/-200mV and channels ai8-15 have +/-500V. I do not have the equipment with me at the moment, so I can't test this. But I am wondering whether this is how you would normally set different input ranges for different channels or whether there's a better way to do this.
    Cheers.

Thanks for the quick reply Mike.
I found the following post which showed me how to do it
    http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=318492&query.id=74076#M318492
However, I am having difficulties in actually acheiving this. Firstly, I don't know how to set up the arrays as he's done there. Secondly, I could not get the auto-indexing to work. I've attached a pic of my attempt. When I try to enable auto-indexing on the right-hand side of the for-loop it breaks the wires and I can't even enable auto-indexing on the left hand side.
Will it be possible to attach a VI for this part so I can see what functions you've used.
    Cheers.

  • Can we use same number range for different  fields

can we use same number range for different  fields. how can we see the number range defined for a particular field

    Hai,
Yes you can have same number range for different fields  by using the same domain to the data elements that are user to your two fields.
    To see the range:
Go to SE11,Type table Name open it-->double click on the DataElement adjasent to the field name ,You will get Domian ,Double click on Domain You will get Domain. There See Value range option .Value range cam also be defined by Value Table which will also at the Doamin level.

  • How can I set the polarity / range of NI 6014 for 0.0V - 10V?

How can I set the polarity / range of NI 6014 for 0.0V - 10V?

    Nilton,
The NI 6014 only has bipolar (10V to -10V) mode available, not unipolar (10V to 0V). Look into our E Series boards for both unipolar and bipolar operation.

  • Can cells set to custom format appear differently on different versions of MS OFFICE?

I'm currently involved in a data enrichment project where we convert some financial data for our clients in excel. We've been facing a problem with date formats in the reports sent to us by the client.
We're supposed to enter 4 different dates in separate columns with 3 different formats. For example in one column the date format should appear in the dd/mm/yyyy format and in another as dd-mm-yyyy. What we've done is set all these cells to CUSTOM format
and in the TYPE dialog in the Custom Tab typed "dd\/mm\/yyyy" where we need the date to appear as dd/mm/yyyy and "dd-mm-yyyy" where we need the date to appear as dd-mm-yyyy.
However, the client says that when he downloads the file on his computer he sees the date formats set to DATE and not CUSTOM. Is this possible?
Can a cell set to CUSTOM FORMAT appear differently on a different version of MS OFFICE?
Does the Operating System also have a role to play in this?
For example if we've typed our data in OFFICE 2007 on a system with XP as the OS, will it not open as CUSTOM when we open it in OFFICE 2010 with Windows 7 as the OS?
We need serious help on this as this confusion has put our project in jeopardy.

Thanks for the help Jim. Just to make it clearer we haven't used quotation marks in the date formats. Further, we were told to use back slash by the client cause according to them this would help in keeping the date formats as fixed to custom format on any
computer that the file is opened on.
What I'm trying to figure out is that if a cell is set to a custom format, can it appear differently when opened on a different computer?
We've sent the file using Sendspace.com to our clients and when we download the file and open it on any version of MS Office we still see the custom formats in the date fileds. However, the client insists that it appears differently on their computers.
Is it possible for a cell set to a custom format to not appear as custom on a different computer?
Just to remind you again that we've downloaded the file on almost every version of Office and have noticed no change in the formats set by our team. How then is it possible that the dates doesn't appear as custom formats on their system?
I would really appreciate if you could help me solve this situation.

  • How can I change Fieldpoint input ranges programatically?

    Hi everybody,
    I'm using several FP-AI-110 (8ch AI module) and FP-SG-140 (8CH strain
gauge module) with FP-1001 as RS-485 communication device, driven by
    LabVIEW.
Now I need to implement a autoranging feature, to adapt the channel
input ranges to track the input voltages for best possible resolutions.
Since there are no VIs to do this, I guess I have to use the Extended
FieldPoint Command Descriptions for >>Set Attributes<< and >>Get
Attributes<<, described in Fieldpoint Programmers Reference Manual.
I looked there and found settings for all kinds of FielPoint modules,
but not for the FP-SG-140, which is most important for me. I also did
not find a more recent manual on the NI-site, which contains the
    nessesary d
    escriptions.
    Questions:
    #1.
Has anybody done this before for any modules and can give me some hints
    (or VIs)?
    #2.
Is there a way to use the VIs, supplied with the fieldpoint software. I
guess they are for use with ethernet-fieldpoints, because they need a
    IP-adress.
    Bye,
    Rainer

    Rainer,
    1) You can do this using the Optomux VI's which are located at: ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/fieldpoint/LVFPOpto/
Please note, that after changing the range of a channel, you must wait for a period of time that is greater than or equal to the All Channel Update rate of the module prior to reading the channel that you just changed the range on. This is necessary to avoid scaling data acquired on the old range setting with the scale of the new range.
    2) The configuration VI's are ethernet based and do not work with serial modules. Instead, you should use the FieldPoint Optomux VI's that I reference above. The FieldPoint Optomux VI's are instantiations of each of the commands in the FP-1000/1001 Programmers Reference Manual.
    3) The FP-SG-140 is a ne
wer module and has not yet made it into the FP-1000/1001 Programmers Reference Manual. I will post the proper range/attribute/command settings for the module later today or early tomorrow.

  • Firefox on OS X 10.6.8: How to have a different input source for different tabs in one window (the option "Allow a different one for each document" is on)

Currently, firefox 29 keeps one language for different tabs in one window. Different windows can have different input sources...

    Thank you for your reply!
I think I've accidentally marked the problem as solved, but in fact it's not.
What is needed is that the firefox remember different input methods (languages, for instance, En or Fr) for different tabs so that when I switch between several tabs I don't need to change the layout.
Chrome remembers my language settings for each tab, so it's not always one language for all the same tabs there. I haven't found such an option in Firefox so far.
    Hope it's clear enough.
    Thanks in advance.

  • One order type different number range for different company code

    Hi
I have created one order type. Same order type I extended in another company code (plant).
I required different number range for another company code.
    Can any give detail solution.

    Hi,
In CO82, define groups of order types. Define number intervals and assign number intervals to groups. Organize order types that you want to assign same number interval under groups.

  • Different number range for different  sales area but same order type

i have 2 different sales area but i have assigned same sales order type for 2 different sales area,
but i need the number range different for different sales area for that same sales doc type,
is that there is any user exists for number range? if so how can i find the user exists

    Hi,
You can surely have a different number range per Sales Area. For this you will have to make use of a User Exit (which would surpass the standard SAP functionality). Try USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE.
Maintain the desired range in VN01 with the respective Range Keys.
Make a custom table comprising of Sales Area and Number Range keys (same keys which you maintained in VN01).
Now everytime, the system will check which sales area is used and accordingly, it will fetch the Number Range Key~Sales Area combination from the custom table, and will pick up the number range from VN01.
Coding should done by a good technical guy to make this work nicely.
    Hope this helps you.
    Regards,
    Vivek

  • How can I set a date range for a Date/Time Field in LiveCycle ES2?

I need to set a specific date range for a form set up in LiveCycle ES2. Cannot see where i allows me to do that without a code entered.

    Hi,
You can't set a start and end date for the date/time field, the best you can do is validate the range after the user has selected it.
An alternate is to make your own date / time field, like this sample http://adobelivecycledesignercookbookbybr001.blogspot.com.au/2013/05/an-alternative-date-p icker-for.html

  • How can I set up imessage with a different email

I  needed to change my email and Apple ID. Now my daughter's imessaging won't work b/c it  it was associated with my old account.

It sounds like you're trying to set your daughter her own account? Create one at https://appleid.apple.com/ and set it up on her iPad Mini. Now - if you want to transfer over the email address she was using on your account, to her new one, so her friends can still get in touch/don't need to learn a new email...
Disassociate the email from your old account...
Log into your old apple id https://appleid.apple.com/
Then, under alternate email addresses, remove the one she uses.
    Associate with the new account...
Log in to her account https://appleid.apple.com/
Press +email address and enter it
After verifying it, go to the iMessage settings on the iPad (settings > iMessage)
Then, make sure you tick the new email address to receive messages, and ensure that 'start new conversations from' matches the new address.
All being well, your daughter shouldn't notice a difference. This also future proofs it, she won't be forever tied to your Apple ID when she leaves home etc...
However, now she's on a new account - you won't be able to share purchases - I don't know if you want to? If so.... you can setup Family Sharing! It's super easy and means you can access each others content. Enjoy!
