Can I set folder window appearance for a DVD-ROM I'm creating?
Hi!
I'm making a DVD-ROM project that my organizaion is going to have duplicated. I'd like the main folder window to have the same appearance (always open in icon view, have a specific background image, sort-by-name, etc.). Is there a way to set this so it will be stored with the folders? Would this have something to do with the .DS_Store file?
A NOTE: This is gong to be a PC+Mac disc, so the file system won't be HFS+. It's a DVD-ROM of an audio series using a web-based interface. I am running Snow Leopard on my desktop and Lion on my laptop. Not sure if any of these details help.

Firefox on Windows is now following display scaling options which may render text larger on high resolution displays.
You can adjust your screen resolution.
To modify it do the following:
* Type '''about:config''' into the Firefox address bar and tap on the Enter key.
* If the warning '''This might void your warranty''' appears, click '''I'll be careful, I promise'''.
* Search for '''layout.css.devPixelsPerPx'''

* Double-click on layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to modify its value. The default is -1.0 in Firefox 22 and above. Change it to '''1.0''' to make it work like in previous Firefox versions.
If necessary, further adjust the value in 0.1 or 0.05 steps. Use values between 1.0 and about 0.5 to reduce elements in size. Use values greater than 1.0 to increase size. For example, a value of 1.25 will increase font size to 125% to accommodate the default DPI setting in Windows 8. '''Double check the value that you enter.''' Setting a too small value will make everything disappear and a too large value will blow things up.

Hi,
I have let the Mac OS-X software update run (Java and a few other things), and now when I want a finder window by clicking on the smiling blue face or with command-N, I get a stripped window with only the volumes but no tool bar nor the folders short cuts. How can I restore the full window by default? I can still get the whole window set from the menu bar or with a 3 keys command, but I don't remember where I can set that to be the default window... thanks!Oh Sorry, I have found it "show tool bar" in the Presentation menu!

my problem is i have some drawing in the panel.when i minimize the window it will disappear because it is dynamically getting drawn.So, for capuring the old drawing, i store the coordinates into the vector and
trying to redraw by calling a method when applet gets
maximized.
Initially the application was a stand alone , so i used
JFrame and window listener and whenever frame gets activated , i used to redraw the line . Now we have changed to applet.
And i tried to implement window listener, i could not able to add listener to the contenetPane.
So i decided to call my drawing method from START(),Since start is been called whenever applet is activated.I decided to do so.
But the problem is ,it is calling the method,identifying the
coordinates but the lines are not appearing in the screen.
My suspection is, it is drawing the line and once again
repainting the screen automatically.
If u people wants to see am ready to post the code. -

The design property in Table properties should work for your requirement. Select "alternating" value for design.
Please see the API below:

Determines the appearance of the table. The property design can take the following values and is represented by enumeration type WDTableDesign.
alternating - The table rows are displayed alternately in a different color.
standard - The table background has one color. The individual table rows are displayed with grid net lines.
transparent - The table background is transparent. The individual table rows are displayed without grid net lines.
Check whether you have changed the right property or not? Also table should contain more than one rows to test this scenario.

PanMy windows default locale is chinese .I have thought of your opinion. But in
windows nt , if I change the locale , all the environment will be
destroyed(just like reinstall it , it's difficult for me) . So , Is there

I have a MacBook Pro, 10.8.6. I always have my windows open in Column view. Can we set the window width to resize to it's longest file? I'm always having to manually make the width wider and it's annoying.

On the Mac with the libraries you want to share:
iTunes Preferences click on the Sharing tab and put a tick in 'Share by library on local network'.
iPhoto Preferences click on Sharing and put a tick against 'Share my photos'.
When launching the same apps on other Macs on the network the libraries should be available, listed on the left. -
How can I set up anApple ID for my 9 years old. Every time I try it tells me he is bolew the min age. If this is the case how can he download free games and how can he redeem his birthday $30 iTunes card? I dont want him to use my ID as it has my credit card details.
I'm very fustrated with this as it seems the Apple kit is for 13 years and older only.

I bought the Mac version of Premiere Elements, can I get the Windows version for free or cheap with my serial number? I'm about to migrate back to PC soon and I'd love to not have to buy the program again since I just bought it. Under my order history though it only shows it for Mac so I wanted to make sure.

The boxed packaging is not sold by Adobe direct. If you want to explore that type of purchase which offers the perk of a Windows and a Mac installation disc, you need to purchase from an authorized reseller who is not going to offer you "upgraded pricing". The seller would be its own entity with its own pricing and own return/refund policy. Sometimes the authorized reseller price may be less than the Adobe"upgraded pricing".
Did you purchase your Premiere Elements 13 Mac from Adobe direct and are within 30 days of purchase? If so, you can contact Adobe Chat Orders to ask for return/refund. And, then you can explore the authorized resellers for pricing and availability of the box packaging. Maybe check out the pricing all around before making any final decisions.

It sounds like you want to have the Mail app automatically reply to emails that come in. You can do this in the app itself, but in order for the function to work, Mail needs to be open. Take a look at this info from the following article:
Mail (Yosemite): Reply to, forward, or redirect messages
Automatically reply to or forward messages
Mail must be open before it can automatically forward or reply to messages. If you want to send automatic replies when Mail isn’t open—like when you’re on vacation—check with the provider of your email account.
Choose Mail > Preferences, then click Rules.
Click Add Rule, then type a name for the rule.
Indicate whether any or all of the conditions must be true for the rule to be applied.
Set the conditions that determine which messages to automatically reply to or forward.
Choose options from the “Perform the following actions” pop-up menu.
Forward messages: Choose Forward Message from the first pop-up menu, then enter the email addresses where you want to receive the forwarded messages. Click Message, then enter any text you want to include with the forwarded message. For example, you could explain that you’re automatically forwarding messages.
Reply to messages: Choose “Reply to Message” from the first pop-up menu, click “Reply message text,” then enter your reply. Mail includes the full text of the original message in your reply.
Click OK.
Carefully consider the rules you create. If they’re too broad, messages can be sent inadvertently or create loops (replies to replies you sent). If possible, test the rules.
