Can i set particular website loading slow?

i need to set some website loading too slow , is it possible ?

Hi, if one site is slow to load try Ctrl + F5. If that doesn't do it, open Options (cog wheel) - in the 3-bar menu unless you've moved it, > Advanced tab (Network tab) > Cached Web Content > Clear Now.
Hope that helps.

  • My website loads slow in Firefox

    Hello,
I'm using Firefox 13.0.1 and it works great on other websites.
But my own website is loading slow..
Any idea what can be the problem please?
The website is fast in IE.. So it's not a problem with the website.

It's not only on my pc
All firefox users are complaining that the website loads very slow.

  • "Bookmarks and history system will not be functional" with corrupt files found by Avast and websites loading slow ONLY in Firefox

Firefox is the only browser that lets me connect with my microphone. I need to use this feature for an online class. Earlier this evening, the message prompting me to allow or deny the class website permission to use the microphone stopped appearing, and without it the recording won't pick up any sound and I can't record anything.
I tried exiting and restarting Firefox. I had some extensions in use at the time, in particular Session Manager. The allow/deny message still wouldn't appear, so I restarted my computer.
Now when I open Firefox I see the "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional" error message. In addition, the browser loads websites extremely slowly; it takes several minutes to load each page or for me to be able to click on anything (the URL bar, the menus, etc) My other browsers (Internet Explorer and Chrome) are running normally and load websites at a normal speed. I tried downloading the latest version of Firefox but it didn't fix anything. I also tried restarting the computer again but that didn't help either.
I ran my Avast software system check and it turned up that the following files under "C:\Users\(me)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Irozixj7.default" are "corrupted and unreadable":
    -cookies.sqlite-shm
    -cookies.sqlite-wal
    -localstore.rdf
    -places.sqlite-shm
There was one more problem on the scan, but it probably isn't relevant: for the file "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Definition Updates\{9A2C6FA7-E04E-4819-B86A-8363A9D1E42A}\mpengine.dll" it says "The system cannot find the path specified." When I attempted to follow the path indicated, one of the folders (I can't remember which) said something along the lines of "You can't access this folder, do you want to permanently allow access to this folder?" I said yes and was able to access the folder.
I have tried to add the Places Maintenance extension but the speed is too sluggish to download anything. Trying to access any of the menus results in the browser freezing for several minutes then unfreezing but with the menu still unopened. Therefore none of the solutions found here (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-bookmarks-and-history-will-not-be-functional?esab=a&as=aaq) seem to work.
    My questions are as follows:
-Is it possible to figure out what caused the problem in the first place?
-Is there a way for me to fix it without losing my bookmarks and history?
-How can I avoid this happening again in the future?

First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [[Backing up your information]]. You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder. To quickly access this folder:
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
Next, keep this folder open, exit Firefox, and try moving the "corrupted and unreadable" files to a different folder. With the exception of localstore.rdf, which stores window positions, toolbar customizations, and other nonessential data, the other files appear to be session-specific files that hopefully are not critical. If you restart Firefox, does it behave more normally?
If not, try creating a fresh Firefox profile. It will have the Flash plugin, which is the control sites usually use to connects your camera and/or microphone, and other plugins, but otherwise will be a new setup. This article has the steps for starting up in the Profile Manager: [[Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles]].
If sites work normally in the new profile, you can import your bookmarks from your old profile, as well as copying over other files that don't seem to be causing the problem. Some trial and error might be required to determine that. This article has some tips: [[Recovering important data from an old profile]].
If the new profile is no better, you can exit Firefox and use the Profile Manager to switch back to your original profile.
    Any improvement?

  • Can I set Boot class loader or system class loader?

In my application, there are classes in a jar files, all these files in the jar need be loaded by a ClassLoader in my application.
And the classes out of jar do not need the ClassLoader to load. the structure is like :
-----myapp.jar ------in this jar, all classes need be loaded by a specified ClassLoader
    |---anoapp ------classes in this package, is normal classes
    |-------|----a.class
    |----b.class
    | ----other classes
but my a.class need to access a class in myapp.jar, so I load the class use my ClassLoader, but there still occur
    **********ClassFormatError : bad magic number**************
I print the classloader in a.class
+---- System ClassLoader is : com.sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader    ------------it is not my ClassLoader
+---- a.class.getClassLoader is same as System ClassLoader    -------------------it still is not my ClassLoader
    +---- Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader          ------------------ it is my ClassLoader
So I think when I access class in myapp.jar, it will loaded by System ClassLoader or Bootstrap ClassLoader, if I can set one these two classloader as my ClassLoader, it maybe not occur the Error,
But There are not obvious method in System or Runtime etc.
    1. So can Set System Classloader or Bootstrap ClassLoader?
    2. If not, How can solve my problem?
    Thands in advanced!

**********ClassFormatError : bad magic number**************If you get that error, then no classloader will help you. This is a problem with your running code meant for a newer version of the Virtual Machine in an older version.
Looks like you're compiling the code with a recent JDK (1.4.x?), but running with an older VM. Try just typing "java -version" and see what it prints.
This should just be a matter of running with the right VM. If this is an applet you're trying to run inside the browser, make sure that the browser is using the right VM. Run the "Java Control Panel" and select the correct version.

  • Website loads slow

My website is on a private server and seems to load very slow even on networks with lots of bandwidth. How do I get my iweb pages to load faster off the net???

WordPress sites are typically  slower than static HTML sites because the server has to communicate with several hundred files and the database in order to load pages.  This Noup article may interest  you.
    http://www.noupe.com/how-tos/speeding-up-wordpress.html
If you're on a cheap, shared hosting plan with a ton of other web sites, it only compounds the problem because the server is overloaded with http requests.   These are your IP neighbors which might explain why your server is so slow.

  • How can I set a website "blog" via Bussines Catalyst and make modules out of blog posts.

Hi! I'm used to work with Muse but I want to start integrating Muse with Business Catalyst. I'm trying to make a "News Website" but I think it can me managed like a blog. I wanted to know if it can be done the way I designed it in Illustrator...So I would post blog entries from Business Catalyst and The Post Title and a little description would appear in these "modules" So I wanted to knwo how to set it up in Business Catalyst.
As I said I'm really new to Business Catalyst, I've watched some tutorials but I really can't get the hang of it so If someone could help me and explain me step by step I would be inmmensely aprecciated!

But so, If I'm getting the "look and feel" in muse I get the postlist blog module and insert it as an HTML element in Muse but in rectangle forms? and I set it in several rectangles or is there a way Business Catalyst Knows that when there's a new post order it and show it in rectangles of x and x px  separated by so much px and such, the styles I can handle, I got a friend who knows CSS3 but we don't get the modules and how do we connect BC znd Muse or as I said how to tell BC to roder and show new post like that...

  • How can I set iTunes to load "iTunes U = Name of University" at startup?

Is there a way thru preferences, plist, or app contents to make iTunes automatically load a specific URL when starting?

I too would like to set our University as the default iTunes application opening page for our SOE. The only solution (work around) I have to-date is to use the URL or the file generated by dragging and dropping any item in the store to the Finder, then placing this file in useful places such as the account Startup Items, the Dock, web browser's bookmarks etc.
My preference would be to as you suggested make this an iTunes startup preference and have bookmarks within the iTunes application.

  • Can I set up a default website for my guest network on an EA3500?

Just got a new EA3500, and plan to use its guest network feature to allow Internet access but not access to my LAN.  Wondering if I can set it up so that users on the guest network bring up a particular website when they open their browser.  I didn't see anything about this in the user's guide or in the forums.

That's actually how Guest Access feature works. You can share internet to your guest/visitors without giving them access to your local network. You may configure the Guest Access settings on the router using Linksys Smart Wifi through the local access interface; check this site for the instructions, http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=b509a1805dd6416ebb0e35a7e5a58937_Configuring_Guest...

  • A specific set of websites will not load.

Operating a Time Capsule behind a cable modem, I now find a very specific set of websites (those that I manage) will not load.  We had a power outage yesterday which did something to my home network I think.
I have rebooted modem and Time Capsule a number of times.  I have tried access from 2 mac mini's, one iPad and one iPhone.
IF I direct connect a mac mini to the modem with a cable, I can access the sites.  If I leave the house and work on another wireless network, I can access the sites.  I checked the sites from that network -- they are NOT blocking any IP's.
If I try to access the sites through the Time Capsule, I cannot.
I think I just (inadvertently) did a full reset of the Time Capsule -- I had to re-define my network.  (Although it seemed to remember some things ...  )
SO, I have concluded there is something with the Time Capsule and likely DNS that is preventing my access.  I tried simply changing DNS to public DNS servers (like Google) but that did nothing.
Best thoughts on how to overcome this?

Your best bet may be to purposely reset your TC to factory defaults and then set it up again.
One thing to try from within your home LAN to see if DNS or connectivity is a problem is to simply open a terminal and "ping" the IP address of your webserver.  If you can ping the webserver by IP then you are able to reach it on the Internet.  Then try to ping the webserver by fully qualified server and domain name (i.e. www.example.com).  If ping resolves the name to the IP of your web server then you are fine with DNS as well.  If either of those basic tests fail to resolve the server and receive a reply, then you indeed have some other issue with your TC or internal network.

  • Firefox (or any browser) will not load one particular website. It shows NO error message, just remains blank

I have the site bookmarked and I try through google as well. Neither Safari or Opera will load this particular website for me. I had this problem in an internet cafe this summer but when i got home it seemed to go away, now it's back. No matter which way I try I cannot get it to open this website. i am using a Macbook pro. I'd rather not have to use an open DNS or google DNS just to open the site i just want it to work like it did before. Any ideas, please?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
You can remove all stored data from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry (Show All History or History sidebar) or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove everything like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions from that domain, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.<br />
You can't recover from that "forget" unless you have a backup of the affected files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

    behind modem is 202.151.XX.XX
It might be a DNS problem. Release & renew ip on the status page of your router. Just make sure you are already using the latest Linksys smart wifi firmware, reset the router & reconfigure. You can download the firmware here http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/EA4500.
