Can I set up a second calendar for business?

I use icalendar for myself. Can I set up another icalendar that is independent from my own?

Folks, a friend has a hard drive with 2K blues tunes. Can I set up a second library and load it on a separate iPod nano so that it won't mix with my current library?
Thanks, Dave
No.
That would be illegal file sharing.

  • I can't set up contacts and calendar for iCloud on my PC

I'm trying to set up iCloud so it'll sync my Mail, Contacts, and Calendar & Tasks between my Windo. However, the iCloud Control Panel won't let me set up the Contacts and Calendar & Tasks. When setting up, it asks me to shut down Outlook (which I do). Then it tells me that I need to restart Outlook with Mail enabled and that I need to add my iCloud account in order to add Contacts and Calendar & Tasks. I have no idea what the former means. I have added my iCloud account although what I REALLY want to sync is the Contacts and Calendar data from the e-mail I use Outlook for (which is also my Apple ID). I have Outlook 2010. Any idea why I'm getting this message and how I can set up iCloud?

    Hi there bakingcountrygirl2011!
I have a couple of articles here that should help you get iCloud set up on your Windows machine. The first is about activating iCloud mail in Outlook, and can be found below:
iCloud: Set up iCloud Mail on your devices and computers
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2621
And here are the steps you need to follow:
Set up iCloud Mail on Microsoft Outlook 2010 or Microsoft Outlook 2007
Open the iCloud Control Panel, select (to turn on) the Mail, Contacts, Calendars, & Tasks checkbox, then click Apply.
To open the iCloud Control Panel in Windows 8, move the pointer to the upper-right corner of the screen to show the Charms bar, click the Search charm, then click iCloud Control Panel on the left.
To open the iCloud Control Panel in Windows 7 or Windows Vista, choose Start menu > All Programs > iCloud > iCloud.
Your iCloud Mail account is displayed in the left column of Microsoft Outlook.
To view your iCloud Mail account in Microsoft Outlook, click the disclosure triangle to the left of your iCloud email account.
If you are still having issues with your contacts after following the instructions in that article, you will want to see this article, about troubleshooting sync issues with your iCloud contacts:
    iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Contacts
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3998
You will also probably want to pay special attention to this particular part of that article:
Ensure the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active within Outlook.
For Outlook 2010, follow these steps to verify the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active:
    Open Outlook 2010.
    Click the File menu.
Click Options in the left panel of the Outlook window.
Click Add-Ins in the left panel of the Outlook Options window.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins," and verify that the "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed
For Outlook 2007, follow these steps to verify the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active
    Open Outlook 2007
From the Tools menu, choose Trust Center.
Select Add-ins from the left column.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins," and verify that the "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed.
For additional information about managing Add-ins with Microsoft Outlook, see this Microsoft support document.
Hope that helps. Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

    Braden

  • Calendar for business use

I am trying to set up a shared calendar for business use. As we all use MAC it has been suggested that iCal could support this.
However, I am struggling to set this up.
Firstly, if I add any calendars to my existing set, it seems that any appointments or reminders are automatically shared. I don't think my colleagues need to know that the bins need putting out!
Ideally I would like to use a different Apple ID for business from personal. I cannot see that it is possible to have more than one Apple ID assigned to an iMAC.
Once you have set up a calendar, how do you go about sharing it with others on different IDs?
I cannot find anything to guide me on how to set this up or even whether it is possible. If anyone has any advice, I would be extremely grateful.
    Many thanks

You can share an individual calendar using iCloud. If the others need to write to it they will need their own iCloud accounts. The method is described on this and the subsequent pages:
    http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a8694
If you want to do this on another Apple ID/iCloud account (though there isn't really any need) you can add a second iCloud account in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts & Calendars. The account will appear in the list in iCal under the new ID and you can add calendars to it.
You might like to look at BusyCal ($49.99) - it is similar to iCal but with extra facilities. (I have no connection with this firm.)
As it's for business purposes you should note that iCloud is positioned for personal use and although you can do what you suggest, there is minimal support. A possible alternative is Fruux which provides syncing using their own servers and has a service for Team use at €20 per month and proper support (I have no connection with this firm either).

  • How do i set up a second display for my iMac desktop?  I want to use both displays at the same time.

how do i set up a second display for my iMac desktop?  I want to use both displays at the same time.  My iMac is the 24" Late 2006 model.  I recall that there is a cord for plugging in a second monitor, but I want to make sure that i can use both monitors side-by-side at the same time.  thank you.

If the Display supports DVI, then you will need a > Mini-DVI to DVI Adapter and a DVI cable.
If the Display only supports VGA, then you wiil need a > Mini DVI to VGA Adapter and a VGA cable.
Noting that the (digital) DVI is far better than the (analog) VGA connection.

  • My wife and I have been using the same iTunes account, but would like to have separate apps on our phones.  How can I set up a separate account for her?

My wife and I have been using the same iTunes account for both our iPhones, but she wants separate apps from mine.  How can I set up a second account in her name, delete the apps on her phone and start from scratch with just the apps she wants on her phone?

If you have the old phone, connect it to iTunes, right click on the device, and choose transfer purchases.  If you no longer have the old phone, I don't believe there is a way to recover them, as they were on your original device.

  • How can I set up a second Contacts folder on my IPhone

I have an Iphone and a Palm Pilot.  I want to stop carring the Palm, and have the contacts there put on the IPhone.
I came upon Plaxo, which would allow me to sync from desktops and laptops to the net, as well as syncing with my IPhone.
However, it appears that Plaxo will sync with the IPhone Contact folder, then wipe out the subset of numbers I keep there.  I want to keep the contacts separate - especially because of the ringer tone controls.
Is there a way to create a second contact folder that I can sync with Plaxo, which will keep separate the current IPhone contacts in my existing Contacts folder?
My existing contacts folder was created, in a way I which I knew, when I got the phone.  It is a 3G, using 4.2.1 (8C148)..

If I can not set up a second Contacts folder, does anybody have an alternative way of having contact information that a person could see the information from an Outlook Format available for viewing?

You can add and remove delegates.

how can i set a global error page for all error code?
i don't want to leave a long list in the web.xml file.could any one help me?
    thanks

If u have a common Error JSP named as ErrorPage.jsp
You need to have the following piece of code in the JSP as :
    <%@ page isErrorPage ="true"%>
This makes it as the Common Error Page for the Application. Now all you need to do is from other JSP's throw the Exception to teh container. The container will redirect to this Page and process accordingly.

That's actually how Guest Access feature works. You can share internet to your guest/visitors without giving them access to your local network. You may configure the Guest Access settings on the router using Linksys Smart Wifi through the local access interface; check this site for the instructions, http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=b509a1805dd6416ebb0e35a7e5a58937_Configuring_Guest...

  • Can I set up a spam filter for my iPad like I have on my Mac?

Can I set up a spam filter for my iPad like I have on my Mac?

The Mac OS X Mail application has a "Junk" function that works locally, on the Mac, and just puts emails from previously designated "junk" addresses into a separete folder, so you don't have to wade thru all that spam in your Inbox. It's a very elegant and simple, local solution, that I dearly miss on iOS.
I did submit a request for it at Apple Feedback page.
