    Dear Apple,
Please help me to find my iPad Air 2 64 GB and iPhone 5C 8GB. They're in IOS 8.0 maybe...I lost all of them last night. I set up icloud for my devices but i can't find them because they were not connect to the Internet. Please guide me other ways to find my "best friends". They're very important to me. Many important files for my job in here and it has sentimental value to me. My boyfriend gave it for me so i don't want to lose them. And because i just lost my iPad Air last 3 month, and now i just bought iPad Air 2 two months ago. I'm so sad and lost. I want to catch the thief to the police so bad because they keep my bag and many other important things. I can not do anything without them. Please help me and contact me via my email or my phone. Thank you very much. Hope to receive your answer soon.

Go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your Apple ID to create the account.  Then turn on the data you wish to sync with iCloud.  See http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html.

  • HT204053 can i set up iCloud for my laptop from another device

I have had my laptop stolen and havent set up icloud on it. Is there a way of using another device to set up icloud on my laptop from another device so I can search for it.

No, unfortunately you cannot set up iCloud on a device from another device.

  • Saving separate sets of apps for multiple devices

    Hi,
This has probably been asked before, sorry if redundant.
I have an iPhone and an iPad, my wife has an iPhone. We prefer different apps on pur phones and a different set for the iPad. iTunes recognizes the devices with different names when they are attached, but the app set from the last device attached is still checked.
It's a real pain to have to go through, checking and unchecking each time, just to Sync one or two new items.
Is there a way to "save" your app set for each item so that when you connect a device, it recognizes it AND the last app set you choose for that device?
Probably a real easy solution but darned if I can figure it out.
    Thanks
    Joe

Just tried this with my wifes phone, the last one that was Synced .
Right click? I am using an Apple mouse, not a two button one.
I have been told that you can right or left click with an Apple mouse, didn't work here. No pop up menu like with a two button mouse or when using a Windows computer.
The only Backup option I can see is the choice to Back Up To iCloud or Back Up to This Computer. Is that what you are referring to?
It's currently backed up to iCloud. Does she need to change that to save her selected set of apps?

  • Best practice for setting up iCloud with multiple devices using a single AppleID

    Hi there
Me and my wife have an iPhone each, and are looking at getting both of us using iCloud. The problem is that we only use one Apple ID for our music library.
Is getting a separate Apple ID necessary for each device on iCloud, or can multiple devices have seperate settings/photos/music, etc.?

Using different Apple ID for iCloud is not necessary, but in most cases it is recommended.
You can however choose to use separate Apple IDs for iCloud and continue to use the same Apple ID for iTunes, thereby being able to share all your purchases of music, apps and books.

iPads are single-user devices. Unlike a computer they are not able to have multiple user accounts.

  • How to set up email for multiple devices

What is the best way to synch e-mail on my wife's iPad with her Mac Book?  I thought iCloud allowed her comcast inbox to update on all devices.  Thank you.

As I understand from a quick search, the ComCast email is POP3, that is not multidevice email. And just because your wife also has an iCloud account does not mean that the email from ComCast on an iOS device is going to jump over to the iCloud account in the same iOS Mail app.
You should go to the ComCast email website and configure your wife's CC email account to forward her email to her iCloud account. Then configure her Macs and iOS devices with just the iCloud account. She will then have iCloud email synced across all of her devices.
I know this works, I forward two IMAP Gmail and one POP3 Hotmail accounts to my iCloud email account. It works perfectly with email forwarded from any of these accounts, across both of my Macs and both of my iOS devices.
Hopefully her Mac has Mac OS X Lion or she cannot have iCloud. But she can still get the iCloud email in another Mac OS X version and I can help you set that up if necessary.

  • How can I change the icloud for a device?  I have too many devices on one icloud

My daughter"s ipod is on my cloud and we need more space.  How do I change her device over to her on icloud?

If you already have another icloud account, and want to set it up on a device, then go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account.  This only disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost on icloud.  Then enter the account ID that you want to use.

  • Can I set up icloud for one account on multiple PCs?

Before I start using iCloud, I wanted to know if it would do what I really want it to do.  I have a person Windows 7 PC at home that I do most of my picture scanning and I have a work PC runing Windows XP, where I do most of my iTunes purchasing.  I also have an iPad that I use for everything I can including modifying documents using Pages.
I want to know the following:
    1. can I have the two different PCs set up to the same iCloud account so that they transfer things between them and to my iPad?
    2. can make changes to a document in Pages on my iPad and then instead of using iTunes as I do now, use iCloud to get it to one of my PCs so I can work on it more?
    Thanks

No, you have to set up your account on your device.

  • ICloud for multiple devices with different IDs

I presently have a MacbookPro (10.7.2), iPhone (5.0.1), and an iPad (5.0.1) all on iCloud, linked by my former MobileMe me.com account, that is now my new iCloud ID. No problems with these three.
What I would like to do (I think, read on...), however, is link my husband's iPhone and MacAir to the same iCloud account, as we share all key programs (calendar, contacts, photos, music, etc) except Mail. We were previously synced up
He has not upgraded his computer to Lion or his phone to 5.0.1 yet, but before we do that, I'm trying to figure out how we can make them all work together, less Mail, which I believe would mean setting up a new iCloud ID that we use for everything.
    My questions are:
1 - Is it possible to reset my computer, iPhone and iPad that are already on iCloud to a new iCloud ID/email address, and if so, would I a) lose access to my old MobileMe me.com account that is presently acting as iCloud ID, and b) lose content from the programs (contacts, iPhoto, iTunes, etc)?
2 - If above is possible, if we create a new 'official' iCloud ID that we use on all devices in the family, would I be able to retain my old MobileMe me.com address, as I've used it for years and have too much saved in mailboxes to easily let it go?
3 - Also, would the joint syncing of all devices mean that all of my email addresses would be on his devices and vice versa, or would that be controllable (example, if I have new iCloud ID, old MobileMe, Yahoo, etc and he has new iCloud ID, AOL, Hotmail, do all show on both devices??)
If I am making our sharing of applications more complicated than it should be, please enlighten me. We basically just want to be able to have the same master contact list, calendar, iPhoto and iTunes libraries, Apps, etc..
    Thank you!!!!

1a You won't be able to re-use your me address.
1b No you could save the content if done correctly (iTunes is not iCloud)
2 No, you won't be able to re-use your me address.
3 The me addresses on a single account can all show up on a device or none show up on a device depending on whether mail syncing is on or off, you can't have some addresses on and some of on a device.
I believe you have two choices.
You can both use your existing account and could sync all the things like calendars etc etc, you can have your email address and your husband could have an alias, but you would both see each others mail (and it's not overly clear which is which)
You can keep your account, he can start his own, that way you would each have your own email address without seeing each others. You can add his account to yours as a secondary account and just turn on syncing on calendars, contacts etc, he could do the same with your account. iTunes isn't iCloud, so you could both use your existing iTunes account and keep access to all your music, movies, apps, books etc. The only thing you couldn't share would be photostream, which is rather unfortunate but there.

  • I have two devices that share an icloud but I keep running out of storage. Is there a way I can get a seperate icloud for each device? I'd like to keep the icloud I have now for one device and get another one for the second device but I don

    Icloud issues

Two iCloud accounts require two Apple IDs. So, if you want to set up a separate Apple ID for the other device, then you can set up a new iCloud account for that Apple ID. Everything associated with your current Apple ID will only remain with your current Apple ID with the possible exception of your Contacts, which you can keep on the device when you delete the iCloud account from it, and then you can merge them to the new iCloud ID when you sign it on.
All purchases made under the old ID will continue to be owned by the old ID.

  • ICloud for multiple devices?

Firstly, apologies for a stupid question!
I've recently bought an iPad and set it up using the Apple ID that I use for my phone, but now I've realised it's obviously using the same iCloud account as my phone..
Does anyone know if I can alter this without having to wipe the iPad and create a whole new iTunes account?
I feel a bit cheated out of free iCloud storage!

    Thanks for the reply!
It's more that I want each device to have its own iCloud storage, I'm not really interested in syncing both my devices so don't want them sharing the space! (The kid uses the iPad a lot so we don't want to share apps etc!)
Would this mean if have to create a new iTunes account?

  • How Can I set up Thunderbird for multiple email addresses

I am using Eudora 7 to handle 6 email accounts on a Windows XP SP3 machine. I want to install Thunderbird on the same machine and import the email addresses. I have Eudora setup to store the data files for each email address in a different data directory. This allows me to have a different icon on the desktop for each email account. Clicking on an icon starts Eudora with the email address data stored in a specific directory.
What I don't know is how to have Thunderbird import the different email addresses from Eudora to Thunderbird and how to keep the individual email address data separate in Thunderbird.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I never used Eudora, so I can't tell much about it. In any case, I believe it's dead.
Wrt multiple accounts in Thunderbird, there isn't much you can do wrong. Simply run the new account wizard and set-up the accounts you want (one at a time).

If any of your accounts are POP ones, make sure not to enable Global Inbox to keep them separate.

  • How can I set up iCloud for my wife's computer and iPhone 4S when I previously set up an iCloud address for her and now can't use it in the iCloud set up?

I set up an iCloud address for my wife, evidently before running the iCloud set up and now I can't connect her to
an iCloud email address through the set up because it is already in use?

I did not articulate the problem properly.  I have the sign in for Birgit on Apple BUT I am unable to set up the
icloud.com email address for her because I had already established it before running the iCloud set up on her computer and now when I try to set up an iCloud email address for her through the iCloud application I can not do so because the email address is "already in use."  I have no idea how to meld the two.
