    Hi, I have upgraded my iPad 1 to an iPad 3. I want to set up and send my old iPad 1 to my great auntie (86) in the UK, I am in Spain.
    I started setting it all up for her setting the country as uk, creating an Apple ID etc... But when it comes to iTunes, the Spanish shop opens and asks me to set up the Apple ID for iTunes. my question is can I set everything up from here ? download the few apps I think she will want and send her the iPad and she will have no problems,  or is she going to have problems as the details will be of a Spanish account, I am probably going to have to give my credit card, and the iPad will loose the apps , or won't let her create a uk account further down the line ?

    You can only use the Store in the country where you are resident.  Items purchased in store in another country will no longer be accessible for redownloading when you change country but you can keep on using them as long as you have a copy on your computer.
    It is not easy to change country and requires a valid billing method with a physical billing address in the other country.  There is also a 90 day wait period between country changes.  Furthermore, it is against the terms of service for the iTunes Store to even use your own country's store while not in your country, much less use another country's store.

Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance." - http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#SERVICE  (reads the same for pretty much any country).

    You can set up an iCloud account on each one (the SAME iCloud account using the same AppleID on each) and then sync via iCloud.

    However, an iCloud backup nor sync contains purchased content - that is available for redownload from the iTunes and App stores (so no need to waste iCloud space storing it for you).
    So, for purchased content, you will have to download it on each device - just use the same AppleID and download each item on each device.
    Without a computer to aid the sync'ing, downloading the purchased content on each device is the only way.
    P.S  audiobooks cannot be re-downloaded once purchased (all other content can be), so without a computer to save, store and move the audiobook files around, you will only be able to put those on one device - the one you first purchase it on.

    Alternatively you can always manage your iPads (does not matter how many) with a single apple id and all reporting to your account under "find my device" service. Keeping an eye on all your units.     My account has been hacked and my credit card charged by the hacker and all Skype has to say about it, is that I need to wait 72 hours for them to look at my query? I cannot log into my account. I have filled in the support form, but I haven't received an email notification from Skype that I have submitted it. I'm guessing that's because my account is now in the use of someone else, as the hacker changed the account over to his email address. I know he did that, as I got a notification of changing the email address at the same moment as I was logged out of Skype.  I use Skype professionally and this issue is causing me a world of trouble. The fact that Skype is a paid service ought to mean that there is better support than 'we will look at it within 72 hours.' 

    So nearly 24 hours later, and still no information either in this forum or via email notification from Skype.  Does this mean that Skype is instead communicating with the person who hacked my account? Since the hacker now has my account registered with their email address, It seems that's the most likely situation, given the unparallelled course of incompetence I'm experiencing from them.  If Skype had taken action on this right away (the moment I made the complaint, which was minutes after my account was hacked) the charge that the hacker made on my credit card would not be lost due to his usage of my account. But apparently, stopping fraud is so low on Skype's agenda that this can go on and on. If I had not been on Skype when it happened (prompting me to instantly block my credit card) there would have been nothing to stop the hacker from making multiple charges to my card, potentially running into the hundreds of dollars.  Instead of action to deal with my problems, I'm receiving notifications that I have earnt 'a new rank' in the Skype community. Whoop-dee-bleedin'-doo!

    I've been having a really hard time setting an iTunes account. I don't want to use credit cards at all and according to the iTunes customer support, I don't need a credit card:
    "A credit card is not required. However, if you do not wish to add a credit card, you must add a debit card or add and confirm a bank account before you can send money with your PayPal account."
    I've had my Paypal account for a while now and I have my bank account confirmed and tied with Paypal. My problem occurs when I try to make an iTunes account. I select Paypal from the payment choices and choose to validate it. I'm taken to a login screen for Paypal where I log into my account and accept the billing agreement. Afterward, I'm brought to a screen where I have to input credit card information. I have a bank account confirmed with my Paypal account, so why would I need a credit card? Please, can somebody help me out here?
    I sent Apple's customer service an email about a week ago and I'll I got back was a confirmatio of the email I sent.

    I've e mailed support about this exact problem, (6 times) still no answer. My PayPal account shows iTunes as pre approved, but the bottom line iTunes *****.you know there has to be way more of us out there, the obviously don't care.To bad iTunes has to ruin the iPod. sorry, but it seems ikewasted time. Try Paypal support.
