Can I set up multiple users for garageband?

I have been asked to take over creating the podcast for my church. Under preferences for Garageband I had "My Info" in place for my personal podcasts I did, so that the information weas already in place when I export to iTunes.
Will I have to update this with the church's information every week, then set it back to my info when I create a new person podcast? Maybe there is a better (more efficient) way to get the information in for both podcasts?

To have separate accounts for each client would be by far the simplest solution, but if you do not want to have too many accounts, how about creating an Automator Service to set the info for each of your clients? Then you can set the tags after exporting the podcast to iTunes from the "Services" menu in the iTunes menu.
A sample Automator service might look like this:
Launch Automator.
Select to create a new service.
Set it to receive text in iTunes.
Type iTunes into the search field.
Drag an "Get selected iTunes items" action to the workflow. Set this action to "Get selected tracks"
Drag an "Set Info of iTunes Song" action to the workflow. Enter the details of your client.
Save the service. This will install it in your library.
To use the service, select a podcast in iTunes and press the "Run" button in your service or call it from the "iTunes > Services" menu. Running the service will write the info to your podcast. Define one service for each of your clients.

The iPad mini is basically a one user device. There are no Accounts. You can set up restrictions so that only you can do certain things.

  • Can you set up multiple users on a MBP?

I just got my first MBP. I set it up and signed in with my Apple ID info.
Is there a way to set up another user so my wife can sign in web she uses the computer?
    Thanks!

When you do this, you might want to be aware of how to "fast user switch" between accounts so that either of you can take over the Mac without having the other person log out. Note that the currently active username is at the right of the menu bar. Click that and you get a menu so you can switch to any other account on the Mac. Other accounts that were running continue to run in the background.
If your wife was using the Mac and you fast-user-switched into your own account, when you're done you have two choices. If you want to stay logged in but not have your account in front when your wife returns to the Mac, choose Login Window from that account menu. That will hide your account but leave it running, while letting her log back into hers. If you are completely done, click the Apple menu and choose Log Out, which will exit your account into the login window so your wife can still get back into her account that's still running in the background.

  • Can you have multiple users for one account?

Can you have multiple users for one account? if so how do you set it up.
We are using it for our department and it would be great to see who created what form instead of it being all one name.

Each person should have their own account. You can easily share the forms with other people in your department. You will be able to see who the author of the form is.
More information on how to share :

  • How can I set up my Mac for two users to share photos, music etc

How can I set up my Mac for two users to share photos, music etc?

On the Mac with the libraries you want to share:
iTunes Preferences click on the Sharing tab and put a tick in 'Share by library on local network'.
iPhoto Preferences click on Sharing and put a tick against 'Share my photos'.
When launching the same apps on other Macs on the network the libraries should be available, listed on the left.

    Yes.

Possibly by using an Airport Express, but depends on what type of port connection the printer requires.

  • Can I Set Up Multiple MacBook User Profiles Without Compromising Security?

I backed my computer up and errased everything because I always have young kids on my computer. I have many Music Projects recoded in Pro Tools & Logic that were being messed with so I took them off.
I want to make it where I can back up my content to a seperate profile that is locked with a security password, and have another user profile without a password that the kids can use without compromizing my projects. I am not sure if this is possible?
I know how to set up multiple User Profiles but I am not sure how to (if I even can) have separate content guarded by lock and key?

If you make their account either managed or standard then they won't be able affect your personal user account which should be admin. Only admin accounts can control other users.

  • Public variables can be shared by multiple users?

I have public static variables in some of my classes...think that there are 2 pages...
    page1:sets that public variable..
    page2:reads that public variable...
so the 2. person can read 1. person's variable by directly calling the second page or he gets null, error etc:?
its important for the security!generally are the values are session protected?or user must handle this security by coding correctly...
    thank you

Actually, neither your question nor your English are
    particularly clear.
However, if you're asking what I think you're asking,
then, yes, the variable can be seen by multiple
"users." I put that in quotes because there really
isn't a concept of "users" or "people" here unless
you build in such a layer. It's really requests that
    we're talking about.
Servlets should not usually have member variables.
The reason is that usually only one instance of your
Servlet implementation exists, and it processes all
requests for that servlet. This is more a data
validity issue than a security one. Security comes in
at the layer where you build it (or use a 3rd party
library), but a side effect of this can be compromisd
security. The access levels--public, private, etc.
are NOT intended for security purposes, however.
Now, if that servlet's doGet(), doPost(), service(),
or whater methods create instances of some
other class, then, no, other requests cannot
see those objects, as long as the references to them
stay local to the servlet's methods, and don't get
put into the servlets member variables or an
application context.thank you this is what i exactly wanted to learn...i have also tested it with my test codes and same things seen parallel to your explanations...

although we have iphones and ipads, this is our first imac and we wanted to know the best ways to set up multiple users with parental controls

I'm assuming you have the lastet OSX version 10.9 "Mavericks." Here are some useful links from Apple I think will help:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14414
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14099

I suspect you have a newer iMac than the pre-2006 models this forum covers (the forum labels are unbelieveably vague). If you can confirm that yours is newer than 2005, I can ask the Hosts to move you the the forum for current iMacs, which gets many more views.

  • Setting up multiple users

Does Yosemite offer any new options for setting up multiple users on one computer akin to family sharing with separate ID's for each user?
    Thanks.

Sure, just create user accounts for each user on the Mac. (System Preferences>Users and Groups)

  • WebTools Creating multiple users for the same User

I had to make a few changes to a BP in SAP which will synch back into WebTools but now I am getting multiple users for the same contact. For example my user is cspehar_1 now in Webtools there are cspehar_1, cspehar_2, cspehar_3 and so on up to _8.
This is occuring for several users in webtools.
What causes this and how do I fix it?
    Thanks,
    Craig Spehar

    Hi Craig,
There are two ways to cause this that I am aware of:
    1.  Change the "Business Partner Synch Contacts Field" setting after the initial synch.
    2.  Change the Web UserID on the BP contact in B1 (OCPR.U_PRX_SID).
After that, update the user in WT  and synch. (might also happen if  you update the BP in B1)
Since the synch is using the OCPR.U_PRX_SID to identify the contact, it will not be able to find it in B1 if the U_PRX_SID has changed.  When it does not find it, it assumes it needs to be created.  This results in a duplicate.
The solution is to reset the U_PRX_SID back to what it was or set the synch contact field back to what it was.
Then delete the last created duplicate contact from B1.
There may be further data corruption issues here.  If orders/quotes/opportunities or other dependant data has synchronized referencing the duplicate user, these data will need to be correct as well.
FYI, whatever caused this was probably at the root of your order problem as well.
