Can I set up my wife's iPhone C with her own iCloud but share my Apple ID account?

I have had my Apple Id for quite sometime now and have lots of music and apps for my Apple devices. I FINALLY convinced my wife to get an Apple phone as well when we just upgraded our services.
Is it possible for me to set her phone up with her own iCloud account (so we don't get each others texts, photos, ect) but still share my Apple ID so she can have access to our apps and music? Also I need to set her up on a PC of her own for backups and syncing.
If this is possible, what is the best way to proceed?
Thanks for any help at all
Wolf

If you still have this question, the answer is yes.  You can set up a separate iCloud account for her by going to Settings>iCloud on her phone and signing in with a separate Apple ID.  You can do this and still share the same ID for your iTunes account (in Settings>iTunes & App Store).  The ID you use for iCloud does not need to be the same as the ID you use for other services.  Also, to avoid getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls, make sure she signs into these services with her new iCloud ID (in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime).
In iTunes on her PC, authorize her computer for your shared iTunes account by opening iTunes and going to Store>Authorize This Computer and signing in with the ID.  Then you should be all set.

My daughter's iPad is backing up to my iCloud, which is how we set it up originally. Now she has her own iPhone with her own iCloud. How can I get her iPad to back up to her own iCloud?  Her iPad is taking up 3.4MB of my 5MB. I need my space back!

I suppose ya.  If she deletes my account from her iPad it won't affect my account, right?
Yes, that's correct, it won't affect your account or your devices in any way.
Use the delete account button in the iCloud settings.
Then enter her iCloud details in the new screen that appears and log in. She should then be returned to the screen above but with her Apple ID at the top, enable the services she wishes to use and then tap the storage & backup option and ensure that iCloud backup is turned on.

  • My computer was stolen and now my wife and i are sharing her laptop.  we have separate apple ID accounts, i upgraded to iphone 4 since the robbery.  all of her apps are on my phone and i can not get my apps or upgrade exisiting apps using my apple account

my wife and I are now sharing the same laptop, mine was stolen, we have separate apple ID accounts.  i upgraded to iphone 4 after the robbery and activated my phone on her laptop.  when i try to download or upgrade apps her apple ID keeps popping up.  can we have separate accounts using the same laptop with different phones?  if so, how can i fix this?

It sounds as if you're using the same Mac OS X login account on that computer. If you create a separate login account for yourself, it will be as if you have two computers (other than the fact you can't both use it at the same time, of course).
Go to System Preferences->Users & Groups to create a new user account for yourself. Log out of your wife's account, then log in to your own account. You can now set up this user environment any way you like. When you launch iTunes the first time, enter your Apple ID and log in to the iTunes Store. Redownload all of your content. Then connect your iPhone to the computer using the USB cable - it will treat it as a new phone, let iTunes wipe the phone and set it up as new.
You might then want to set up Fast User Switching within System Preferences->Users & Groups which will allow you and your wife to swap the laptop between the two of you easily without even having to log out one account in order to log in to the other.

  • IPhone 4S, stolen iPhone, datas, no iTunes, no iCloud but IMEI and apple ID

I got my iPhone stolen a few days ago. I want to know if it's possible to get back the datas that was on it. I just saved it on itunes but i got a virus on my computer and had to reboot everything. I thought about saving all my other datas but not the one on itunes. I totally forgot to install again itunes on my computer after. I have the IMEI of the iPhone and my apple ID...
    Thank you!

If you were only backing up to iTunes on a computer (rather than to iCloud) and you haven't done that since you had reset every up again, then you're pretty much out of luck.  If you have things like calendar and contacts on some sort of cloud-based service you can get those back.  You can also re-download anything you purchased on iTunes or in the App Store..

  • My wife decided to set up her iPhone on my account and now everything is comingled.  I want to set up an iTunes account for just me. Do I have to set that up on a computer or can I set it up on the iPhone?

My wife decided to set up her iPhone on my account and now everything is comingled.  I want to set up an iTunes account for just me. Do I have to set that up on a computer or can I set it up on the iPhone?

iTunes will need to be set up on your computer however you can set up a new Apple ID to use for your iPhone. Really all you need to do is Assign a new Apple ID to your iCloud account.
Follow the link to create a new Apple ID: https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
After you do that, on the device you want to assign a new iCloud account go: Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and then sign in with the new Apple ID.
NOTE: This does not effect iTunes, all of your devices can continue to use one shared iTunes account under your original Apple ID for downloading apps and backups. This simply gives iCloud a place to sync the individual devices information and will stop iCloud form merging all the information, such as contacts, with all of your devices.

  • Can I sync my iPhone and my wife's iPhone calenders through the same iCloud account? Or do I need to set up 2 different apple id's anc iCloud's

Can I sync my iPhone and my wife's iPhone calenders through the same iCloud account? Or do I need to set up 2 different apple id's and iCloud's

No, I would recommed to use two separate iCloud accounts for mail, calendars, notes, reminders, contacts etc.

  • Can I set up a wifi router to receive an internet signal by connecting it to a computer?

Can I set up a wifi router to recieve an internet signal by connecting it to a computer?
It seems to me that routers are designed to connect directly to the internet by programming their firmware with connection info.
I'd like to connect a computer to the internet, then connect a router to that computer.
Essentially, I want a internet signal that comes through a computer before being made wireless. Is that possible?

To connect the computer to the Internet you still need some physical component, for example a wireless USB dongle. So if you want to have the Mac connecting to the Internet and then share this connection to other devices using wireless, then you can enable Internet Sharing on the Mac and select to share its Airport (wireless) connection to the other devices (which turns the Mac into a form of access point). Then the other wireless devices can connect to the Mac and use the Mac's Internet connection, which could be a wireless USB dongle or an Ethernet connection to a cable modem.

  • How can I set up hotmail on my iphone? i need some advice please..

i can't set up hotmail on my iphone.. please can someone tell me how to do that. thankyou..

Is it a paid account or a free account?
The free accounts can not be set up on the iPhone because the free Hotmail accounts do not user one of the two email server standards, POP3 or IMAP (it uses a proprietary HTTP protocol) which the iPhone requires.
You will need to upgrade to one of the paid hotmail accounts before you can get POP3 access for your email.

How do I stop my wife's iPhone from importing her photos to my iPhoto account on my laptop?
I set it up to do this a couple years ago but I forgot exactly how I did it.  Now I need to know how to stop it.
    What version of iPhoto? v9.6
    Of the OS? 10.10.1
How are you importing photos? The photos (camera roll) from my wife's iPhone 5 syncs via wifi to my iPhoto account on the the laptop.  This happens when she logs on to the laptop.  We do not use the same Apple ID.
Like I said, I did this a couple years ago.   I totally forgot how I did it and what method (iTunes settings?, Mac settings?, iPhone setting?) I utilized.
I was over at the forum which deals with iPhoto but they feel it is an iCloud issue.

    Understood.

my ipad imessages are coming up on my husband's iphone. Is that because we share an apple id account. How can we have separate apple id's and still share the same music library.

The biggest problem I have is with cross texting. My friends send my a imessage on ipad to ipad and it comes up as message on my husband's phone as well as my ipad?
My friends definitely do not want my husband seeing their texts. (and I dont really need him to see my responses either)
Also, apple id is based on my email account, how do I create a new apple id without setting up a new email account?
