Can I set up on multiple computers?

Hi there, so I've used adobe products before back when I was in highschool (photoshop mostly) and I never had any problems, great stuff.
But I'm contemplating getting back into the game a bit, and I ran into a bit of a snag that I don't know the answer to.
Now I was planning that for this Christmas, I'd splurge and order a full year "everything" subs for myself, and my roommate (hes into the movie making side of things). But there's a slight bit problem with "licensing" that I'm curious of. Now I know if I bought it, and installed it on 1 computer... thatd be fine, we could only use the computer 1 at a time and there would never be any issues. But I know some companies out there get a little upset if you try and do things like install on 2 computers, or in the case of us, 3 computers. The reason for this is that I travel quite a bit, spend a lot of time on the west coast even though I'm from the east coast, and I would like access to my photoshop while out on the job, meanwhile I am hoping that during the hours that I'm not working, my roomy can spend some time working on whatever hes working on without issue. Now I know I've gotten flak from various outfits over my "sharing of accounts" before. And I just want to know if that kind of thing is going to be an issue with Adobe.
Actually I'm getting flak from 1 outfit simply because I installed their software on laptop, and my IP keeps jumping around (traveling due to work) but I hope that wouldn't be an issue here due to the whole cloud integration.

adobe allows you to install on any number of computers, but only activate on 2 at any one time and the two computers are to be used by the licensee only.
i have 4 computers that have adobe cc installed.  usually i activate on my home and office computer.
but when i travel i activate on one of my two laptops that i take and deactivate on my home and/or work computer.  works beautifully and couldn't be easier.
even when i forget to deactivate, when i try to use my laptop, i'm given the option to sign-out (deactivate) my home and office computers.

    Hi,
first, I'm not Adobe's "slave" as you might to accuse me. Most of the posters here are users like me.
I only can repeat that what I found in Adobe's help sites, as I wrote above. You are free to figure out the "real" truth and - the best would be - you may contact Adobe directly, here are - I'm sure you know them -  the links I would use: http://helpx.adobe.com/support.html  and http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html.

If i download Lion, can I use it on multiple computers?

If you are going to sell a system that did not come with Lion installed you use the media that came with it to revert it to as it was when new, (after overwriting the entire drive).
If you have a new system that came with Lion and you do the same as above, using the rescue partion. That partition is not tied to any user out of the box. That is unless the software asks you to sign in with an Apple ID before running Restore. In which case I would simply just overwrite your main partition and allow the next user to run the Restore from the Recovery Partition.

  • Can my cc be on multiple computers?

can my cc be on multiple computers?

Up to 2 as long as you’re the only one using it.  Basically you can login to CC using your AdobeID and install the software on up to two computers.  If you try to do it on a third, it'll ask you to deactivate it on the other two, which is fine, but then you can only reactivate it on one of the two old ones.  This is for when a computer is retired or the hard-drive goes bad and you need a new computer or have to reformat your hard-drive.

  • How can I sync Bridge between multiple computers at work with keywords/collections/search?

We've been trying to find a digital asset management platform at work for a while now and I recently came across Bridge (we have the Creative Cloud). It's perfect! Except we're all on a bunch of different computers and would need to be able to search the same keywords/collections all from the same server (the photos are in many different folders though). Is there a way to be able to sync all keywords etc on multiple computers? Or if someone opens Bridge and can search right away without having to make all the keywords persistent by finding each photo and clicking on it? We're all on the same Creative Cloud team.

I actually did already create a book with all the files in it, but I couldn't figure out how that was helpful. The hyperlink panel doesn't seem to have any "book" options (unless I'm looking in the wrong place?) and just linking to the different files (after creating the book) didn't have any different results than linking to the files before I created the book.
I thought maybe linking to the different files in the book would work if I could export the whole book to pdf at once (which would be super-helpful in and of itself), but that doesn't seem to be an option either.
I guess what I'm asking is for you to elaborate on what to do after creating the book.
    Thanks!

  • Can Lion be downloaded for multiple computers (my laptop & desktop)

I need to Download Lion so I can switch my mobile me to iCloud, but I want to know if I can download it once and transfer it to all computers or do I have to pay the $29.99 for each computer.

If you purchase and download Lion from the App Store you can install it on all the computers that you own. You should read the following:
    Make Your Own Lion Installer
    1. After downloading Lion you must first save the Install Mac OS X Lion application. After Lion downloads DO NOT click on the Install button. Go to your Applications folder and make a copy of the Lion installer. Move the copy into your Downloads folder. Now you can click on the Install button. You must do this because the installer deletes itself automatically when it finishes installing Lion.
    2. Get a USB flash drive that is at least 8 GBs. Prep this flash drive as follows:
Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
    3. Locate the saved Lion installer in your Downloads folder. CTRL- or RIGHT-click on the installer and select Show Package Contents from the contextual menu. Double-click on the Contents folder to open it. Double-click on the SharedSupport folder. In this folder you will see a disc image named InstallESD.dmg.
    4. Plug in your freshly prepared USB flash drive. You are going to clone the InstallESD.dmg disc image to the flash drive as follows:
    Open Disk Utility.
Select the USB flash drive from the left side list.
Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
Check the box labeled Erase destination.
Select the USB flash drive volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
Drag the InstallESD.dmg disc image file into the Source entry field.
Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
When the clone is completed you have a fully bootable Lion installer that  you can use without having to re-download Lion.

  • Can I distribute rendering through multiple computers?

I have two computers wit 10.9.1 and I currently set them up to run with compressor and distributed processing.
Final Cut has prompted me before on whether or not I wanted to use computers for distributed processing, but I'm not sure that I can do this on Mavericks... I think Compressor needs Qmaster to not exist in order to work.
Has anyone had any luck with this?

No...in my first post I said, quote;  "FCP doesn't use distributed rendering...Compressor does."
You cannot use distributed rendering on FCP 7 or earlier.  Not even sure it's possible with FCX, but I cannot comment on that as I don't use it. But I didn't hear any mention of it...I think I would have if it were possible as it's a big deal.
The only apps that use distributed rendering are; Shake, Compressor.  Period.
Shake was discontinued...so now it's only Compressor.

  • Can you use sync on multiple computers at the same time? ie have someone else logged into your firefox account for you whilst you are also logged in

I am trying to sign up to something but there is only a short window so was going to ask a friend to sign in at the same time using my account to try to sign up (with my password being saved into my firefox account)

Hi. Yes, you can use Sync on multiple devices at the same time. I use it to keep my bookmarks in sync across my desktop and Android versions of Firefox.

  • Airport Extreme - hard drive set up for multiple computers in network

I have been having problems setting up my USB portable hard drive into the Airport Extreme. I am trying to set it up so that I can access the hard drive using both my Apple Laptop and my Windows desktop. Could someone assist me with this? or perhaps point me to the right how to link?
    Thank you,
    Raul

Check to see if the issue is with the following: In Windows double-click My Network Places. Select View Network Connections. Right-click on Local Area Connection and select Properties from the menu. Client for Microsoft Networks must be checked in order for any of the Apple disk software to work. If it isn't, check it and click OK.
After I did this I was able to use all Apple software as it was designed - everything just "worked".

  • Can Logic Be Installed on Multiple Computers?

I am looking to buy this application and am wanting to know if I can install it on two laptops. Me and my Uncle want to split the costs and thus have to install it on both computers. I own a PowerBook G4 and he owns a MacBook Pro. Would this be possible? (We both meet the system requirements)

You can install it on two computers as long as you only use it on one at a time and the user is yourself. Check your license agreement.
Installing one copy on your own computer, and another copy with the same serial number on your mates computer for them is against the terms of the license.

  • Can I download Pages to multiple computers without seeing all the projects

Can I download the program Pages to more than one computer and not see everyone elses projects?

    Tom,
Whether you can see someone else's projects depends on where the documents are stored and how the permissions are set, and has not so much to do with whether you all have the same app to open those documents with.
