Can I setup 2 devices, with different iCloud accounts, on "Find My iPad" app?
Hi all,
I am new to the iPad/iPhone world (bit of a late convert!!), and I have tried searching for the answer to this but I can't find the specific answer...but apologies if this has been covered before.
I have an iPad, and the wife has an iPhone. We both have separate Apple IDs and iCloud accounts. We both have just downloaded the "Find My iPhone" app. It looks great, but we would like to be able to view both devices from the same account. Is it possible, where we both have separate iCloud accounts? Or, are we both able to setup a third 'joint' iCloud account on our devices, that we only use for the "Find My iPhone" app?
Any help, for this 'newbie', would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Glenn
You can only use the "find my phone" feature with one iCloud account. In order to be able to find your partner's phone using the app on yours, you would need to log into her account in the "find my phone".
If all you are merely interested in, is knowing the location of each other, there is another app called "find friends" that may be of interest to you.

Can I have multiple devices on one iCloud account
can I have multiple devices on one iCloud account? Like a iPad and Mac Book Pro
If so how can I do this?Sure. That is what iCloud is meant for, so you can keep your devices synced.
When you set up iCloud on the devices, use the same Apple ID on all devices, then the iCloud account will be the same.

Hello Apple Community,
Can I backup two devices (with different documents) to one iCloud account?
For example: iPad Air and iPhone 5, not everything is synced between the two, but I would like to backup each (seperately in the cloud). Is this possible?
This way when I change from an old ipad to a new, I can restore with the ipad backup, and when I change from an old iphone to a new, I can restore from the
iphone backup.
Thank you in advance!Terminology check here. Do you really mean a "CD"? There's a difference in Cloud behavior between content from a physical CD you ripped (which only has Cloud content if you have iTunes Match) and an "album" you bought from the iTunes Store.
Read references for Home Sharing.

iOS: Setting up Home Sharing on your device - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4557 - "With Home Sharing in iOS 4.3 or later, you can stream your entire iTunes library over your home Wi-Fi network from your Mac or PC right to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch."
The above can get pretty complicated. You are probably best off by syncing both devices to a single library and/or updating the libraries on both computers to have the same content. -

How to backup multiple iphones with different iCloud accounts but same apple id?
I would like to back up 3 idevices each with different icloud accounts to itunes. But they use the same apple id so that itune purchases can be installed on each device (2 iphones and 1 ipad).
All I want to do is create a backup in case the phones need to be restored. I also want to back up before downloading iOS 8.
The Macbook Pro that I will back up to has one user and one itunes library.
Is this possible without mixing up address books and contacts etc? Appreciate if some one could direct me to detail step-by-step instructions if they exist or please tell me how I can do this.
Thanks. With Family Sharing they don't need to have the same Apple ID anymore.
But backups to iTunes are kept separate among multiple devices; Apple ID and iCloud isn't involved at all. Just make sure the devices do not have the same name. -

Why can i not receive email with my icloud account but I can send it out only
Hi Nortarian,
The article below will walk you through the troubleshooting steps for email on your iPad:
iOS: Unable to send or receive email
If you are unable to send or receive email, try the following steps:
Restart the iOS device.
Tap Safari and attempt to load a webpage to ensure that the device has Internet access. If you're unable to load a webpage, try the Wi-Fi assistant.
Try an alternative Internet connection.
If your email is provided by your Internet provider, try connecting from the home network.
If your iOS device has an active cellular data plan, try to disable Wi-Fi: Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.
If not, try a different Wi-Fi network.
Log in to your email provider's website to ensure that the account is active and the password is correct.
Delete the account from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then add the email account again on the iOS device.
Hope this helps ....

If my husband and I both have iphone 5's with seperate icloud accounts can we track each other using find my iphone?
Sure, all you need is Find My iPhone app. When using it, just sign in using your husband's ID, not yours. You'll be able to track his device. I do that with my wife when she's on a long trip.

How can i move ipod onto a different icloud account pls
i want to move ipod onto a different icloud account without losing any info on my iphone which is on the same icloud account
You can only keep data of your calendar, contacts etc. on your device, if you decide to delete your iCloud account from your device. Just go to "Settings > iCloud" scroll down and press on "Delete Account", then choose the option to keep the data on your device. After that sign in with your other account and choose "Merge data".

Multiple devices with seperate icloud accounts
Ok, I am going to try and explain this as best as possible. On my itunes account between me and my fiancee we have 2 computers, 2 ipads and 2 iphones. He set up an icloud account that is showing my email address as the itunes account but it is then linked to his email address and his devices. I would like to set up my own icloud account that links only my email accounts and calendars (well right now I am only interested in getting my calendars to sync). I am very confused on how to make this happen since he is linked to my email address (which is also my apple id) Is there anyone out there that can give me some guidance on this??? Any help would be most appreciated.
If you don't want to share calendars, contacts, email, etc. then you both need different Apple IDs for iCloud (i.e. two different iCloud accounts). This has no relation to iTunes accounts - you can both use the same one if you want to share your music, etc. Since your boyfriend is using your email address (I assume this is your Apple ID), for icloud, then he should set up a new account for him to use.

How do I transfer a free music app with music on it to another iphone with different icloud accounts
My friend gave me his old iphone with a free music app on it and it had some music on that app well I just got a iphone and was wandering how to get that music and app transferred to my iphone with the icloud accounts being different
Stealing is NOT the only reason to want to transfer music and paid apps from one account to another.
The family has been using one itunes account to purchase music and apps. This account was set up under my user name. I gave my wife my old ipad and got the 3-kids new ipads. I want to give all of the music and apps under my user name to my wife's new itunes account so the family can keep using them and I can have a separate account. Even if I have to re-pay for the music and apps.
Is it possible? -
How can I manage 2 iPhones with two iCloud accounts on one PC?
Once, we had an IPhone and a Windows Phone - calendars from both were sync'd via Outlook and life was simple. Having just migrated the Windows Phone to iPhone 5s it seems that iCloud will not allow more than one Apple ID and the Control Panel cannot switch between two different iCloud accounts.
Another post has suggested turning off iCloud options but I am concerned the apps and other purchased data will be deleted and the control panel 3.1 has limited options that do not appear to match the 3 year old post
Any simple solution available? On a Mac you would simply create a separate user account for her, and she would sign into her account within her user account. Presumably this would work the same way on a PC.
