Can I setup a TC without Internet connection?i

I Want wifi wifi so that my devices can connect for time machine, but I do not want to have a WAN connection.
at the moment, it just moans about DHCP ranges, and Internet does not seem to have a 'none' option
it is to be the DHCP server.
I Have tried statically adding Internet ip addresses but it just complains about the network ip addresses ... And it complains whether my static address is inside or outside of my network dhcp range. Apparently they conflict ... No further information is given.

I don't see why you couldn't use AirPlay as a stand alone thing. Obviously you'll need wifi, but as for Internet I really don't know. Again, Internet shouldn't have any say but it might.
Test it out, unplug the cable to your modem. If it's a modem/wifi router then unplug the DSL cable or cable internet cable.

Yours would presumably be at [the German equivalent of
..]/de-DE/InDesign6.0, or whatever your locale is (AT, CH...)

I bought Time Capsule 4th Gen. 2Tb without knowig that it is a router. I already have Netgear N900, and I don't know if I can use them both together. Currently, it looks like I cannot connect to Apple Time Capsule (ATC) without the internet connection. I neither have to figure out how to use ATC without the internet, or figure out way to use both of the router at the same time. Please help me with this problem. Ok .. this is pretty easy.
You plug the WAN port on TC into the N900 LAN port by ethernet.
Open the airport utility on the Mac.
Simply allow it to automatically setup and it should select bridge mode.. if not just jump in at the end .. click on the edit under the summary and go to the network tab and select bridge.
Then go to the wireless tab and make sure you are creating a wireless name.. you can give it the same name as the N900 same security same password.. this is called roaming network.
Or use a different name.. use short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
I have given a different name to 5ghz.
It will not matter which wireless you connect to but the TC is faster on the 5ghz for backups.

Unfortunately the iPhone needs to be connected to the internet to get located.
Technically, it is possible to locate it if the phone based on it´s IMEI number when it is switched on. But only your carrier on request of the police will be able to do it. Being realistic, I doubt that they will do the effort
Maybe by chance the thief connects to the net....that´s the only way.

IMPO, no Internet connection is definitely fine for Nokia Maps as the software uses offline map data to guide your drive.
BUT, the phone must be under your mobile provider's coverage as it needs A-GPS to help lock the position. Othewise, it would take ages to lock or might be not working at all.

I was in a situation yesterday, when i was driving and have to call my Dad.
Due to the bad weather, data services were down and when i used Siri to call my Dad's number, its just said "Siri not available, please connect to Internet"
I can understand, that for Weather details, Web search etc, Internet is required, but at least Siri should handle in-phone features like "calling, Texting etc", without Internet connectivity.

Even though it seems like Siri should be able to handle things such as dialing a number or dictating a text, an internet connection is required for Siri to function. There is currently not a way to get Siri to do otherwise.

iTunes needs an internet connection to download the update if it has not already. Then it needs to verify the update with Apple servers prior to installation.

Installing Arch on PC without Internet Connection/Slow Connection

Arch Linux requires a fairly good internet connection to set up. How can one install it on machines which don't have any internet connectivity? Is there any way to make a DVD of Arch on a computer connected to internet and having Arch setup(DE,Media Players,Codecs etc) which can then be used on machines without internet connections This would come useful for me to install at my friends place. Does anyone even has a remote solution on this?
