Can i setup appriver server on ipad to receive my mail from work

i am trying to setup to receive my work email on ipad2.  we use appriver .
having trouble sending emails.

We've found that one of the main issues is that most users have trouble finding the menu that lets you edit Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server Port Numbers. The iOS Mail Setup utility does not make this task easy.
You'd first have to setup the email account with your domain's proper in/out server names, email addresses and passwords. The Iphone or Ipad would normally fail after attempting to verify the server information for the first time. We would then go back and edit this non-functioning account (with non-verified settings) and update the server port numbers and other additional security settings.
Here's where the menu is located.
From the IOS Device’s home screen, Tap Settings.
Tap Mail, Contacts, and Calendars
Tap the Email Account you wish to edit.
Tap SMTP under Outgoing Server
Tap your Outgoing Server under Primary Server
Here you can edit the server port number by tapping the value next to Server Port. You can also change authentication methods and toggle SSL on/off.
Incoming Server Settings can be edited by following this path:
From the IOS Device’s home screen, Tap Settings.
Tap Mail, Contacts, and Calendars
Tap the Email Account you wish to edit
Tap Advanced
Here, you can Edit the Incoming Server Port Number by tapping the value next to Server Port. You can also edit Incoming Server Authentication methods, toggle SSL on/off, and set message deletion settings.

  • TS3297 Hi, I've setup my new mini ipad today, restored a backup from icloud and all is fine.  However, when I try to download my music, they almost completely download then an error message pops up saying "unable to download songs" - can anyone help pleas

Hi, I've setup my new mini ipad today, restored a backup from icloud and all is fine.  However, when I try to download my music, they almost completely download then an error message pops up saying "unable to download songs" - can anyone help please?

So it appears iCloud/iTunes Match isn't the issue - the error message would seem to be complaining about where the music is being downloaded to. So with this in mind:
In iTunes select Preferences and select Advanced. The iTunes media folder should be set to /Users/<your account>/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music. <your account> would be whatever your user account is. If you see something else there I'd guessing it is a folder you don't have permission to write to.

The iphone and ipad must be connected to the same icloud account.  Are you by chance using different IDs to connect from each device?

  • Mac E-Mail Not Receiving Incoming Mail From ATT/Yahoo Mail Server

Recently "upgraded" to ATT U-verse. My Mac email client (3.6) suddenly not receiving incoming mail from the web-based ATT/Yahoo. Settings-all are correct: Telephone talk with Tier 1 and Tier 2 ATT reps confirmed "unusual" problem, and that the settings (ports, ssl, etc.) are indeed all correct. Tier 2 supervisor referred ticket (F23576784) to the brilliant minds at Yahoo for help. I've heard nothing for five days. Some emails do get received on my client, from (Apple, ATT, for example). Others languish on the web-based mail, with no push to my iMac. Tests of sending myself e-mails continue to confirm problem, with test emails sitting at Yahoo server, no push to my Mac client.
I am able to send e-mails successfully from client. Interestingly, a couple of incoming e-mails from friends did manage to slip through the lines and arrive in my Mac client a couple of days late. Brave little souls, they're not talking.
I've tried all sockets, all other settings possible, but no luck. Why is there no straight-forward answer to this proliferating problem? Odd e-mail behaviors? No documented or shared answers by the big outfits to Mac users? Mac mail virtually disabled and useless? Has anyone found a path to resolving the varied but similar problems in this area yet? Thanks in advance for any help offered beyond adjusting preferences over and over and over. That ain't working.
    Stuiee

Geez, some emails are getting through, most are not forwarded to my client MacMail. They are also marked as read, which could mean that Yahoo is forwarding them somewhere...(?) Can't get ahold of Yahoo, ATT forwards me to Yahoo, Yahoo has no method of emailing real, technical questions, ATT supervisor actually called Apple and there is nothing wrong with the OS or my set up requirements.
Does anyone know a workaround for setting up smtp requirements? Can't switch email clients at this time, would take a lot of changing existing contact info for bizz.
At this point all I would like to know is, where is the problem? Why does a server (ATT/Yahoo) send some mail to my account, not send others, and marks all messages on the webmail as read? Thanks for the one response, I do believe the problem is some minor error set at the isp's server software for Macs, but who knows?

  • Can any body tell me, how to send/receive the sms from java application

    Hi All,
Can any body tell me, how to send/receive the sms from java application to mobile phones.
I have installed the jsms engine and when i try to connect to the mobile device ,the jsms server is giving
    the following error.
Cannot connect to GSM Device, error : -11

The best place to ask your question is at the JSMS website, forum or mailing list since this is no error that directly comes from a class belonging to the core Java classes.

How can I set up my email so when I delete mail from my Mac it deletes from my iPhone as well?

That is a function of your email account, if it is an Imap account it will sync, if it's a POP account, it won't.

I forgot my iCloud password, and i can not reset it with email authentication, when i do it, i don't receive any mail from Apple

If you don't know your password, don't know your security questions and don't have a rescue address or don't receive a reset email, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • I can't receive any mails from other apps at my gmail on ipad 2

I can sent and receive emails from my ipad 2, using gmail. However, when I try sharing documents, photo's etc. in other apps, I don't receive the mail.
    For instance:
I made a mindmap in the app Ithoughts. Then composed an email, included the map (tried different formats including pdf).
Send the email - that seems to work. But I never receive it on my gmail account. This also happens when I try to mail a photo from my photo library.
I also tried different mail addresses, but it won't work anyhow.
Sending and receiving mails directly to my mail account does work.
    Please help me!

Thanks so much! My grandaughters played games on the iPad over Xmas and one of their moms said shed restricted their access! Guess they forgot to enable again. Thank you again! Karla

  • HT201210 I can't setup my Iphone 4S and it's already deactivated from FindMyIphone

I got the phone from a friend and i tried to restore and update it and i can't setup the phone now and he deactivated the FindMyIphone app from it

    Greetings LouisDa13,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you received an iPhone 4s from a friend, that is not locked with a Find My iPhone account, which you are having issues setting up. The first troubleshooting steps I would recommend in this situation are located in the attached article.
Get help activating your iPhone - Apple Support
If you still have issues setting up your iPhone, please let me know specifically what screens you are seeing and what, if any, error messages or alerts you receive as well.
    Cheers,
    Joe
