I want to sign in to iTunes on my husband's computer, but I do not want to sign into HIS iTunes account. Once someone has logged into an account on iTunes, is that account locked into that computer?
Also, I am trying to do some setup for my mother-in-law's iphone. Her SIM is not here at my house, can I put my SIM into her phone and then connect to my husband's computer? Will her phone be set up under my name or can I set it up using her iTunes account with a different SIM (temporarily)???
I'm afraid to get locked into a. my husband's iTunes from his computer and b. onto his mom's phone.

To log her out try going to the iTunes Store, click on the account name in the upper right corner, and then click "Sign Out". Next, you'll need to sign in by clicking on the same button in the upper right and then enter your account information. Once you're logged in I think you should be able to sync your music files or download your past purchases from the store to update your computer.

I then tried to log back in immediately afterwards. I was unable to do so. After clicking "sign in" at the bottom of the apps main page, it brought up another menu where I clicked "Choose existing Apple ID". After pressing this the menu disappeared and nothing happened. I tried this multiple times and received the same result each time. I tried the other available option of creating a new AP ID to log in with and that one worked perfectly fine. I am clueless as to why the log in for me is either not able to load or just completely blocking me from getting back into my iTunes account on my phone. Trying to change my iCloud apple ID to match my iTunes. Unlike previous question, my iCloud account does not even exist anymore, so I'm not able to sign OUT of it on my phone. I'm stuck because I can't sign in or out of it.

A while back I changed the login that I use for my account. For some reason when I got my new iPhone, iCloud decided to log me in using the older email account. Since it doesn't technically exist anymore, I can't use it to sign into my phone. But I keep getting popups on my phone every minute asking me to log in with my (now non-existant) iCloud account. I'd like to be able to sign out of that iCloud account and sign in with the same email address that I use for my iTunes account. However, I can't even log out of my iCloud account on my phone because signing out requires a password also! What to do?

You may be able to change or reset the password on this old iCloud/Apple ID account, even if you no longer have access to the email address associated with it. Once the password is changed/updated, you should be able to log your iPhone out of the old iCloud/Apple ID account and log in to the correct new account. Skip the iCloud sign in for now.
Once you reach the home page, go to settings and sign out of FaceTime and Messages. This should also sign you out of iCloud.
Go to iCloud in settings and sign in with the correct Apple ID.
If that does not work
Skip the iCloud sign in
Go to Apple ID.apple.com and sign in
Change your Apple ID to the old one
Delete iCloud account on your device with the old Apple ID and the same password.
Go back to the website, change your Apple ID back to the current one. You will receive an email to verify the account. Verify first.

Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...sign back in with the ID you want to use.
Note: Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to originally obtain them. They cannot be updated using any other Apple ID other than the one they were originally obtained with.

As note already on the iBA forum [ AppleID for ibooks publishing ], you need two IDs. You can't use your developer ID.
If you already signed up for books with that ID, you need to talk to Apple to straighten things out.

BTW, just checked through my email history and I can't find a similar message to yours. I recently had my iPhone 3GS replaced with an iPhone 4 so if there is an official alert program in place I should have received something like it. I think we can be reasonably confident that it is a scam. If you used any link in the email to visit what you thought was an Apple site, and signed in, then you should definitely change your password from within the iTunes application. Store > View My AppleID > Top Edit link.

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

Assuming you have (1) signed out, then (2) waited 30 minutes and it didn't work you will need to contact iTunes again.
