Can I still get apple care?

Hey,
I was wondering can I still get apple care on my Mac BookPro 13" I got it in Late 2011?

The starting clock is actual date of purchase.  And they do count all of the actual day even you bought it at 6 PM.  And if you buy it online "purchase date" is when they process your card, not when you receive it.
Get AppleCare a week in advance to be sure all snafus in getting it activated will not push you beyond that first year.

Sorry, no. Apple-care must be purchased within the first year of ownership.

  • Can I still get Apple Care if I buy through another website?

I was thinking of buying my new Mac through this Venue website. If I do that, will I still be able to purchase the AppleCare through Apple for it?

Yes you are still eligible to purchase apple care as long as the computer's original purchase date wasn't more than 1 year ago.
If you're buying a new computer that shouldn't be an issue. If you are buying a used computer it may be an issue.

  • Purchased iPad 2 last year, can I still purchase apple care?

My iPad 2 is not yet past the 1 year warranty, can I still purchase Apple Care?

You'll need to find a boxed retail version either at an Apple Store or online, but as long as you can find one, then yes, you can still register it and get coverage.
You might even still be able to buy it online, as it seems to still come up as in stock on some stores?

    How to get AppleCare+
Purchase AppleCare+ together with your new iPad, and you'll be automatically registered in the plan. Add it to your shopping cart during the checkout process when you purchase your new iPad.
Or buy it within 30 days of your iPad purchase:
At an Apple Retail Store (if AppleCare+ is purchased separately from iPad, inspection of iPad and proof of purchase are required.)
Or call (800) 275-2273 (requires you to run a remote diagnostic and provide proof of purchase)
    Copied from here.

  • If i buy iPhone from verizon can i still purchase apple care

If I buy my phone from verizon can I still purchase apple care plan from apple?

You sound really certain about this -- but Apple's current info page for AppleCare+ says "AppleCare+ must be purchased together with new covered equipment." (bottom of this page: http://www.apple.com/support/products/iphone.html )
And AppleCare isn't one of the "accessories" Verizon seems to let you order with the phone. So wouldn't this mean it's impossible to order it from Verizon and get AppleCare?

  • Can I still buy apple care protection?

Hi I just bought my Macbook this past Saturday. I wanted to know if I can still buy the apple care protection. (nothing is wrong with my beautiful mac by the way) Are they all 250? thanks a lot

You can purchase AppleCare anytime within the first year of ownership. It does need to be registered before that standard one year warranty expires, so be sure to do that quickly after purchase.
You do not need to buy it direct from Apple and if you go somewhere else you can get it for less. LA Computer Company is a place that has it for $179 HERE. Others have bought it from eBay or just dug around at PriceWatch or PriceGrabber for a deal.

  • Can I still add apple care to a 27' apple display?

It was purchased from a friend who says that apple care is already expired. I am wondering if I can add apple care. Please let me know what I can do.
    Thanks!

No. AppleCare can only be purchase within the first year of purchase and prior to the expiration of the original default warranty.
It's possible you may find third-party insurance coverage.

  • Can I still purchase Apple Care for my old iPhone 4?

When I got my iPhone 4 nearly a year ago, I was told that I could purchase Apple Care at any point in the first year to extend the warranty an extra year, etc. I was planning to do that today (I couldn't take the financial hit before it became necessary at the year's end), but I see now that with the iPhone 4S has come AppleCare+, which much be pruchased within 30 days after your phone purchase. As I have an older model, I don't see how this should apply to me—30 days had already come and gone before they came out with this new policy! So, my question is this: How can I purchase the original Apple Care extenstion for my older phone?

You cannot purchase the extended warranty after the end of the standard one year warranty. You might find other companies that offer limited forms of extended warranties such as those offered for used cars.

  • Can I still buy apple care protection plan?

    Hi guys,
First of all: I love my macbook pro. It's fast, the design is awesome and I love OSX (I use it a lot for music production and running Traktor so I have a garantuee that my laptop won't fail when I'm playing a gig) and I also like the way you can install Windows on it (my school doesn't support OSX for the laptop-exams,...)
So the guys from the Apple Store "Switch" asked me to buy the applecare protection plan but as I didn't had enough money with me I couldn't afford it at that time. Is it possible to still buy it and what are the conditions if you buy it later then your purchase?
    Greets,
    Rob

I believe you have 12 month to buy it.

You can have Apple replace the logic board, but it will be at your expense.  The free replacement program has ended.

Sorry, when you permitted your friend to do that, you forfeited the right to an out of warranty replacement.
Apple makes it quite clear that if you or anyone else attempts to open the phone, not only is all warranty/support voided, but you forfeit the right to an out of warranty replacement.

my iPod touch needs to be restored. however, all of my movies/apps/songs/photos are not backed up on my computer because the shop on my computer does not work. can i still get the memory on my iPod touch 32gb back?

If you weren't able to sync the purchases to a computer previously and now your iPod needs to be restored so you can't sync it now, then you may be out of luck and will need to purchase your content again. Officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications and iBooks. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places.
You can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service (select the "Music Purchases" or "Video Purchases" category, as appropriate, then "Lost or Missing Items". You'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) ") and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it.
    Good luck.

  • I can't register my apple care in Hungary.

Sorry to post here, but i couldn't find any other topics related to this.
I bought a new MBP 15 and an extended apple care and i can't reach any phone number i've been given which is impossible to reach. The retailer said apple severs are down for weeks and nobody can register his/hers apple care. Is it really possible? This is the massage what i get: ag.sales.changecountry.alert.notavailableinoss.hun.
Is there anybody in Cupertino to look after things for Europe ? An other question, do i really have 1 year to register my apple care after my purchase date?
    Thanks a lot!
    András
