Can I still get my music even though my computer crashed?
My computer crashed and I had to rebuild. Will iTunes still let me use my music that I have purchased, or will I have to buy it again?
Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. The procedure is a bit involved and was written long before iTunes 7 so it requires a little adaptation, also it won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. This is just a selection, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, they are generally quite straightforward. You can also read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
YamiPod Mac and Windows Versions
iGadget Windows Only
iPod Access Mac and Windows Versions
PodUtil Mac and Windows Versions
iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
TuneJack Windows Only
CopyPod Windows Only
Tansee iPod Transfer Windows Only
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up in case you have problems again. External drives are comparatively inexpensive these days and you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

Can i still sync my files even though i have corrupted files?
so i just put my itunes library on my new mac laptop from my pc. on my pc i have that stupid thing where it says it lost the pathway and i guess the files are now corrupted. BUT they still play on my ipod. I have synced my ipod several times not realizing this could cause a issue on my ipod, but the songs are still playing on my ipod but not my pc. so now the songs wont play on my mac either, but still play on my ipod. i want to download some more songs, but i am afraid to sync my mac and my ipod now for fear that it will replace the songs that work, with the corrupted files. also, i used my ipod as a external hard drive to transfer the files and haven't set it back up to do an automatic sync because once again i am afraid of losing the songs. the songs that are corrupt are ones from cds and ones i downloaded off itunes. but when i go to try to download the songs i already purchased, it doesn't get them all.
help?if the error you are getting is a disk copy error when trying to sync the ipod, then that error normally halts the sync process. that would be why you "synced" your ipod but the songs still play on your ipod... if you have a back up of your computer, then you can find and delete the file that is giving the read or copy error and replace it with your back up.
very important! if you are actually getting read or copy errors, then your disk may be beginning to fail. make sure that you have a good back up. if not then make one as soon as possible. as the saying goes, there are 2 kinds of hard disks: those that have failed and those that are going to fail... so protect yourself and make a back up if you wish to avoid the pain of loosing files.
if some other problem is happening, like the some files have been mistakenly deleted (outside of itunes) and itunes just cant find the files anymore, than that is a matter of resorting the files from a back up. i believe itunes will also halt a sync if it can't find a file...
there is a shareware utility called "podworks" which allows you to copy a song from your ipod and restore it to your computer if you've lost the song from your hard disk... but it will only copy what is still on your ipod, meaning that if you do a sync and some files get deleted from your ipod in the process, then you'll have to restore them another way. you can find podworks on versiontracker.com -

How can i get my music back if my computer crashed?
My PC's hardrive crashed and I wasn't able to save anything music wise off of it. So all I really care about are my music videos and movies that I've purchased.
How do I get them back?It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to do the basics, than you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases -

I turned off my phone and when I turned it back on, all my apps were deleted. I tried to reinstall my apps, but it wouldn't let me. My storage still remained the same even though, all my apps were deleted. How can I get my apps back?
Hold the home and power button down until your phone restarts. If that doesn't work, backup and restore using iTunes.

I have an app called ipieta which was originally downloaded onto an ipod. I gave the ipod to someone else, but now that I've had the iphone I can not get the audio even though it is downloaded into itunes music like it said to do. It won't work. I've tried more than several times to get help but nothing helps. Do I need to deauthorize the ipod or perhaps erase all the downloaded ipieta stuff and start over?
Thanks for any suggestionsSorry. There's nothing anyone can do. The current version of the facebook app will not run on 4.2.1. The iPhone 3G won't run anything higher than 4.2.1. You're stuck.
Maybe it's time to buy yourself a new iPod Touch. -
Just activated iphone 4S and can't get new voicemail greeting to override the old greeting. Greeting from previous phone still plays even though a new greeting has been saved to the iphone. Also, the previous phone still receives voicemail nofications even though it is no longer active. What is going on?
We want to make sure that voicemail transition is super smooth SonyBony! Please be aware you must power off the previous device in order for the complete switchover to take place. We recommend leaving the previous device off now that you have activated your new device. Here is a link for additional assistance with voicemail on the iPhone 4s. http://vz.to/1kcyBlo

I bought my MacBook Pro since 2008. Now I live in Thailand, and my MacBook had the second symptom (No video on the computer screen (or external display) even though the computer is on). How can I get guarantee in Bangkok?
<Serial Number Edited by Host>"That's why I'm wondering whether they still can fix it as lifetime guaranty or not?"
No, not lifetime.
According to the referencd article:
"If the NVIDIA graphics processor in your MacBook Pro has failed, or fails within four years of the original date of purchase, a repair will be done free of charge, even if your MacBook Pro is out of warranty." -
My iPod just randomly deleted all my music, but I no longer have the computer where I synced it to. Can I still get my purchased tracks if I download iTunes on another computer?
If for some reason you failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then you can redownlaod some itunes content in some countries:

When I got my ipod I made an account with iTunes right from my ipod.Yesterday, I made a password lock to get into my ipod and I couldn't get into it even though I did the correct one. Now it says"connect to iTunes" BUT I can't because I never registered on the computer. I've tried holding the home and sleep/wake button for 10 sec and then only the home for 5sec and that might have reset it, but it didn't help. If any of you guys know what to do so I can unlock it I would appreciate it VERY much.
If you haven't done so install iTunes on your computer. http://www.apple.com/itunes/

my iphone 4s can not scan any wifi network, i tried everything but still can not scan any wifi connection even though our wifi is working properly in our mac book and ipad. What do i need to do if the problem is the hardware?pls help
When you say it "can not scan any wifi network" do you mean it is not detecting Wi-Fi networks?
Is Wi-Fi turned on in Settings > General > Wi-Fi?
Have you tried Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?
Is it just the home network that the device will not connect to? or any network?
