I can't watch movies , asking for adobe flash. After installing the latest adobe flash still doesn't show movies.

The other day, there was someone here who figured after quite a while that he had plug-ins disabled in Safari. He could have installed Flash a hundred times but never get it to work.
Of course, you do have plug-ins enabled. Yes? Quick double-check? Safari -> Preferences -> Security tab -> checkmark at "Enable plug-ins"...

  • Hello, can I still play Garageband 9 projects/loops in Garageband 10, and how? Thank you

    Hello,
Can I still play GarageBand 9 projects/loops in GarageBand 10, and how?
Do I need to re-install iLife11 to be able to play GarageBand 9 projects/loops in 11?
    Thanks in advance

GarageBand 10 needs the loops and instruments from Garageband ´09 or ´11 installed to be able to play the older projects with all sounds. Otherwise instruments and loops may be missing. If you uninstalled GarageBand completely, reinstall iLife '11 to be able to use the older instruments and loops in GarageBand 10. before you install GarageBand 10.0.
GarageBand 10. comes only with a basic set of instruments and needs to be expanded by an in-app purchase. If you have GarageBAnd '11 installed, you should be able to get the in-app purchase for free.   Expanding GarageBand for Mac (v10.0) content with an in-app purchase

  • Why can i still play my game on my ipad eventhough i only downloaded few kb's of the app?

Why can i still play my game on my ipad eventhough i only downloaded few kb's of the app?
I downlaod the app on my pc via itunes, and the i plug my ipad into the charger, then it auto-sync.
But then i noticed that the game icon appears on my screen. So i clicked it and end up playing it for few hours, eventhough i only downloaded few kb's of the game. I'm still in my confusion. Does it have anything to do with the icloud?

It is from Zynga, and it's called Castleville Legends. It says it's downloaded in my itunes, but it does nothing when I click on it. I have a Toshiba Notebook, does that make a difference? Do really need an "I" Pad ONLY?

  • Why can I not play the rented movie...???

Why can I not play the rented movie...???

Welcome to the wonderful world of copy protection.
iPads have a form of digital copy protection that will prevent protected media, such as DRM-infused iTunes movies, from playing back on devices that aren't compliant with the new priority protection measures.
The Intel-developed technology is called High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) and aims to prevent copying of digital audio and video content as it travels across a variety of display connectors, even if not in violation of fair use laws.
The advantage of purchasing your movie as a DVD is that you can watch it on ANY device.
For a better picture, and fewer hassles convert to analog. There are HDMI to Component video adapters available that will solve your problem.

  • HT5409 why can't I play an MPEG4 movie on my mac

Why can't I play a movie shared from my MacBookPro as an MPEG4 on my MacBook Air or my main Mac computer?

Have you tried VLC ? This problem can be easily solved with VLC player. If it does not work, you may need to convert MPEG-4 video to H.264 MP4 for playback on your Mac. Good luck.

  • My computer has a 1.3 GHz. I want to get a game but the minimum requirement is 1.4 GHz. Can I still play this game without problems.

My computer has a 1.3 GHz. I want to get a game but the minimum requirment is 1.4 GHz. Can I still get this game and play it without any problems that will prohibit me from being able to play it. I would also like to get a game that has a 1.7 GHz requirment and be able to get this game and play it without any problems that will prohibit me from being able to play it.

What do you expect us (Apple users) to tell you?  Especially since you are not telling us which specific MacBook Air you have - as some of the recent ones have TurboBoost.
But even putting that aside, if the game maker takes the time and trouble to tell you a required speed, and you do not meet that speed, then obviously you should expect the game to function less than perfectly.  If you are considering a 1.7GHz required game on a machine with 65% of that performance, you should feel lucky if the game runs at all, even with miserable performance.
The game maker took the trouble to lay out the specs.  If you don't meet them, expect inferior, if any, performance.

  • Can I still play CarPlay music/keep a call connected when closing out of the app?

I'm looking at buying the Pioneer SPH-DA120 which comes with Apple CarPlay. My car is fairly old and has an after-market rear-reversing camera that cuts into my current stereo screen when reverse is selected. My question is, will CarPlay support this? Will my music or phone call cut out when I go to use it? Similarly, I want to know if music will still play when the app is closed, particularly if I choose to use the Pioneer sat-nav rather than CarPlay Maps.
Generally I find navigation on the Maps app pretty clunky. Has anyone heard of any 3rd party sat-nav apps planning on a CarPlay version? Particularly with downloadable maps that won't rely on signal?
    Thanks!

It is your fault if you bought apps that are not compatible with your device or that require internet connection.
The product description will tell you all of this.

  • Play slide show from Photo Browser

How can I play my slide show in Full Screen view from Photo Browser?
Upon double click of the created slide show , located at first position in my Photo Browser, the Slide Show Editor opens which permits only play in Full Screen in Preview which produces low resolution images.

Please identify which version of PS Elements you have - 3 or 4. My guess is that you have v4 but it may make a difference in this conversation.
Based on the fact that I think that you want to view your photos at the maximim resolution of your monitor, have you tried the Full Screen view of the Photo Browser?
A slide show creation (made by the slide show Editor) is not designed to be played from the Photo Browser.
If you Output in the slide show editor as a WMV file, that is played in Windows Movie Maker or other programs. However, the WMV values defaulted in PSE do not give you full monitor resolution in most cases - so if you stretch to full screen it will probably not look good.
If you output the slide show creation as a PDF file, then you should use the Adobe Reader to play back that PDF file. The Preview for the slide show is just a Preview, which has quality level choices if you are in v4, but I don't think it is intended as a way to display the finished slide show.

  • How can I get iTunes to show movies again instead of a grey screen?

I was able to view my whole library of movies/music videos before the upgrade and now, iTunes will open my movies but it doesn't show them. It plays the sound but the screen is grey. It's a bit demoralising to break something that worked but to break it all together makes me wonder why I spent so much time and money building up my library.
If anyone can help or explain this, I would be grateful. I am running iTunes, 11.2.1(1) on an iMac (late 2013) running 10.9.3
    -Kevin.

Sorted... When screensharing two devices (in this case a Macbook pro and iMac) the following appears to be true:
    It isn't possible to view movies/videos on either of the devices that are screensharing;
Neither device as a result, even if a window is not up with the media being shown to the other device will show media (movie or music video).

  • Why can't I play an old movie purchased from iTunes and later uploaded to iTunes from an external hard drive on my Apple TV?

I bought Ratatouille some years ago from iTunes downloaded onto a 1st gen Apple TV, and subsequently to an old MacBook.  I had backed that MacBook up to an external HD.  A couple computers from that time and now I have a new gen ATV.  I noticed that all my old movies showed up to stream on the new ATV's system except Ratatouille.  So today I decided to upload the movie onto my new MBP's iTunes.  But the movie won't show up on ATV.  Again, this is an iTunes-purchased movie so it has nothing to do with format.  I can play the movie through "home sharing" but I shouldn't have to leave my MBP open to play the movie - it should be available on my "purchased" selection that can be played at any time.  Any suggestions how to resolve this issue?  Thanks in advance for your help.

Ok, best to contact itunes then so they can look into it

  • If I change my user id can I still access stuff (apps movies and music) etc purchased from my previous id

When we bought our iPads  my partner set us both up with the same apple id and password.
We would now like to de-link the two iPads and have separate itunes accounts. How do we do I set up a new username and still have access to previously bought apps movies and music?

No ... just by itself, you cannot share these items. However by using a new feature, just offered, you can do Family Sharing.

  • With an AExp, if you choose "Extend Network" can you still play music

I have an Airport Extreem and and Airport Express and am not sure if I select "Extend Network" if I will still be able to play music through iTunes? I know this is probably academic but I would like a little more clarity than what the setup wizard states.
    Thanks!

I have all 3 of my AEX set up to extend. Set as router mode/remote station and all 3 can play iTunes. Here are some screen caps of my setting.

  • If my laptop battery dies for good, can I still have my laptop work while plugged into the wall?

It's a Toshiba Satellite laptop, made this year, Windows vista, yadda yadda. Look my point is, if my battery gets wasted to a point where it won't charge anymore, will my computer still work plugged into the wall? I can't afford to get another battery. I can't afford a pack of cigarettes.

The answer to your question about externally powering your notebook PC is yes.
You can safely remove the battery and plug in the power adapter to use it as a desktop PC.
