Can I storage ebooks in iCloud

I have some ebooks that I haven´t storaged in my iPad (they are in my Mac). I wonder if they can be storaged in iCloud and then upload them to the iPad in case I need them.

No, generally it is not possible to add friends in iCloud. (By the way, for what would you like to add friends?)

  • How can I REALLY downgrade my iCloud storage?  HELP!

How can I REALLY downgrade my iCloud storage?  Apple is trying to scam ppl out of $$. They will NOT allow you to downgrade per their instructions.  It ALWAYS says the iCloud manager is not available, try later.  Here is what my email says:
This is a reminder that on 03/03/2015 you will be charged $10.99 for your 20 GB storage plan using your Visa •••• (deleted). If you do not wish to be charged, you can cancel by downgrading to the free storage plan from your iOS device, Mac or PC.
    The iCloud Team
I'm so disappointed that all my products are currently Apple and now I down't trust them as far as I can throw them.  There is already a class action suit in Florida for the icon taking up 23% of users' available space, now they are trying to charge me $$ yearly when I do NOT need the space?  Shame, Apple.. Steve Jobs must be rolling in his grave about your unethical business practices... This does NOT work:
You can also cancel or downgrade your storage plan at any time. For a full refund, contact iCloud Supportwithin 15 days of an upgrade or within 45 days after a yearly payment. Partial refunds are available where required by law. Learn more about iCloud storage plans or get help using Cloud storage.
No... the "done" button will not light up, and it says the iCloud manager is "not available at this time.  Try again later."  This is a known problem... fix it.

Thank you Roger!  Going into my iTunes at least allowed me to delete my credit card info so they can't charge it.  In the meantime, after 2 calls I finally got connected to a Senior Advisor from Apple who was able to manually go into my account and remove the automatic charge to my credit card.  After sharing my screen, she was able to see the issue many others are having being unable to downgrade.  There is a bug in the system that tells you the manage storage is "unavailable at this time".  She followed me through several of these threads and realized it is actually an issue.  She took all the relevant information and will submit a bug fix request.  She even admitted that goal and apple were having an issue syncing to the correct time zone at that there was no know fix at this time.  While frustrating, the honesty was refreshing.
Thank you SO much for you quick response on this!  My apologies for my tone; this was my first time using this forum.  I went through Apple support and didn't realize that there are no Apple employees on here.  I was on the line with someone from customer service that wasn't as helpful at the time and was very frustrated..
Thanks again for your help!  To all others having this problem, keep calling Apple tech support until you get a Senior Advisor - they will help!!  The advisor even told me to tell people to call in and that they need to manually downgrade on their end until they get this issue resolved.

  • How can I add my previous icloud storage from my old iTunes ID to my new icloud  account

how can I add my previous icloud storage from my old iTunes ID to my new icloud  account,

"So, is it possible to sync/merge/move/share those purchased apps from the old apple-ID to a new apple-ID?"
    No.
    Sorry.
Apps will always be tied to the account from which they were purchased, and will always have to be updated using that account.

  • Can I create a separate icloud account for my husband but still use the same itunes account?  I want our contacts, photos and storage capacity to be separate but be able to share music and apps we purchase.

Yes, that's exactly what I'd suggest for the vast majority of users.

Can I creat an new iCloud account and make it the primary one for my backups and buy extra iCloud storage for it?  Thank you

    Hey Hindfromlondon,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.  Since you are posting here, I take it you already have an Apple ID.
You can setup that Apple ID to work with iCloud.  See:
Set up your Apple ID for iCloud and iTunes - Apple Support
And you usually want to stick with one Apple ID as having multiples can cause confusion (especially with purchases).
Frequently asked questions about Apple ID - Apple Support
    What is an Apple ID?
An Apple ID is a user name you use for everything you do with Apple. Creating an account for an Apple service, such as the iTunes Store or the App Store, creates an Apple ID. Apple ID allows you to access other Apple services. You don't have to create a new account for each service—just use your Apple ID.
For a complete list of all of the places you can use an Apple ID, see Where do I use an Apple ID.
    and further down:
I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.
If you are wondering how using multiple Apple IDs relate to iCloud, see Apple IDs and iCloud.

I encourage you to read all about it as there's lots of information out there.

  • TS3992 on iPad: How can I delete my Mail storage from my iCloud backup?

on iPad: How can I delete my Mail storage from my iCloud backup?

Did anyone ever provide a resolution, because I am having the same problem.
My iCloud backup said yesterday that over 500 MB was being used by the Mail portion of the backup. So I went into iCloud.com, deleted all of the mail in my Sent Mail folder, then emptied the trash entirely. When I did that, it got worse; it said that 1.2 GB of the iCloud backup was taken up by the Mail backup. That doesn't make any sense. That is actually the opposite of what was supposed to happen.
Today, it is back to saying that Mail takes up 609.4 MB of space in the backup, but there is next-to-nothing in any of my iCloud email folders. What is going on?
Any suggestions you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

  • I cannot load more photos onto my iPad as I'm being told there is not enough storage. I have bought an extra 20 GB storage plan from iCloud so how can I now load more photos onto my iPad. Surely there is enough space!  Do I need to delete previous photos?

I cannot load more photos onto my iPad even though I have bought an extra 20 GB storage plan from iCloud. As I am on holidays and taking loads of photos I thought  a good plan was to load them onto my iPad and then regularly back them up to iCloud. If I do this, do I then delete those photos from the iPad that I have backed up to iCloud and if I delete them from the iPad are they gone forever or can I somehow get them back from iCloud? I'm only new at all of this so I hope someone can assist me. I'd hate to lose all of my photos(I know they are still on my memory stick) but I would like to have them safe and secure and able to retrieved whenever I wish.

You cannot backup photos to iCloud.
You can enable Photo Stream (in Settings > iCloud) but only for 30 days and only a max of 1000 photos.
Then what does this mean? It was copied from the kb article that I posted above.
Reducing the size of your Camera Roll backup
If you take lots of photos and videos with your iOS device, you may notice your Camera Roll takes up most of your iCloud Storage backup. To check the size of the Camera Roll backup on your device:
On your Home Screen, tap Settings.
    Tap iCloud.
    Tap Storage & Backup.
    Tap Manage Storage.
In the Backups section, tap your device.
In the Backup Options section, the backup size is displayed under Camera Roll.
To reduce the size of your Camera Roll backup, save your photos and videos locally to your computer with iTunes, and then manually back up your iOS device. If you want to keep your photos and videos on your iOS device, you can turn off Camera Roll in Backup (see the "Deleting backups and turning off Backup for your Device" section above) orpurchase additional storage.

  • HT201318 How can I get a storage plan on iCloud that's more than 50GB?

How can I get a storage plan on iCloud that's more than 50GB?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you purchase a higher-tier storage plan for your iCloud account to replace your existing storage plan (for example, a 20 GB plan to replace a 10 GB plan), the existing plan will be canceled and you will receive a prorated refund for the time remaining. The new storage plan is applied to your iCloud account and the annual payment date is updated to reflect the purchase date for the new plan.

  • TS3992 I can't back up to icloud on my iphone. I have 25 GB of icloud backup storage, but it won't give me access to backup to it. How do you fix. My phone is almost full.

I can't back up to icloud on my iphone. I have 25 GB of icloud backup storage, but it won't give me access to backup to it. How do you fix. My phone is almost full. How can I start using the icloud storage?

If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

  • Why can I not upgrade my iCloud storage on iOS

Why can I not upgrade my iCloud storage on iOS

Hard to say why that would be.  Suggest you contact iTunes store support for help with this: http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.  They normally deal with iTunes and app store issues, but they should be able to tell you if there's an issue with your iTunes account that is preventing the purchase and how to correct it.

I have synced my Ipad and Iphone and my Icloud storage is full now, I want to unsync them so I can use both of their Icloud storages separately, how can I do that?!!

Your iCloud storage is linked to your Apple ID, you can't unlink the devices unless you use separate Apple ID's for each device. That's not a good idea as you will have to pay for the same purchases twice on each device and you don't want to do that.
Backup with iTunes where the size of you backup is only limited by the a amount of available space that you have on your computer, buy more storage in iCloud, or .... and this makes no sense either but it is a possibility ... remove one of the devices from iCloud and backup one in iTunes. If you are going to backup with iTunes, backup both devices with iTunes and leave iCloud alone.
You don't need to backup with iCloud if you backup with iTunes and you can still download your past purchases without having to actually use iCloud for backups.

  • To save memory on my Ipad 16gb rather than store films, can I send them to Icloud and use my storage there and simply bring one back when I want to watch.

To save memory on my Ipad as I only have the 16gb - rather than store films on the ipad, can i send them to icloud and bring back when i want to watch one. Or can I compress them to save memory. I know I should have bought the 32 or 64 gb ???

You can't send films to iCloud, whether you can re-download them depends upon what country that you are in (films can't currently be re-downloaded in all) and whether the relevant film studios have agreed to allow them to be re-downloaded, and whether they remain in the store (content providers occasionally remove their items). There are a number of wifi-enabled drives that you can buy that allow you to stream films and tv shows to an iPad, so you don't necessarily have to store them on your iPad e.g. Seagate GoFlex Satellite (I haven't got one so I don't know how good they are)

  • Why can't i view on iCloud what is on my lost iPhones? i can see how much GB's they are taking up but can't click on the data to see what it is..

Why can't I view my icloud backups on a new apple device using the same icloud id? Unluckily I lost 4 iphones in 2 yrs. all had same icloud acct on them, so when i log on to locate my current iphone on my macbook or on new iphone, it shows a list of all the lost iphones and their data take up.
When i click on settings on my ios> go to icloud > storage & backup> manage storage:
LOST IPHONE 1- 4.5 GB  DOCUMENTS & DATA : it shows PREVIEW 1.2 MB PAGES1.6 MB TEXT EDIT91.6 KB PHOTOS 3.2 GB
LOST IPHONE 2- 3.2 GB  DOCUMENTS & DATA: it shows same thing just different gb's mb's kb's
    LOST IPHONE 3- etc.......
but you can't click on those documents & data to show what exactly they are so you can move them or save and delete. If I go into icloud there's nothing there from that long ago. is that data deleted? if i were to get that certain iphone back and turn it on would the pics, docs still be in icloud? it says all that room in my icloud is still taken up so where can i view it?? anyone know??
                            THANK YOU!

If you haven't already, you could force-quit Quicktime by using the menu option from the desktop (finder) and choose Quicktime.
Not sure what you have frozen on the screen, be it a failed movie, or some unusual screen shot. If you can find by date (created) you may be able to look for .mov or quicktime suffix name or other video file content to delete it.
And you may have to restart your computer and perhaps run repair disk permissions from Disk Utility's first aid on the hard disk drive in your computer.
Not sure if all that would help now, but it is something a few days late...!
    Good luck & happy computing!
