Can i stream movies from my mifi to firestick?

I just got a Amazon Fire stick for Christmas and would like to know if I can stream movies to the Fire stick from my MYFI 4620L

The Amazon Fire Stick sounds like its a streaming media player.  As long as it has WiFi connectivity then it can connect to a Jetpack within range and access the internet however you like.
It should work, however as Ann noted you need to be very careful when consuming your data plan.  VZW has very few restrictions in place to protect you from going overboard on data consumption.  Keep a close eye on your plan and figure out quickly what you can and cannot get away with.  I suggest watching content on low quality until you are comfortable with everything.

Unfortunatly with movies in the iCloud it physically gets downloaded to your device. I am thinking some of the reasons for this is because of possible changes in bandwidth speed on 3G or 4G networks well as coverage for those networks. Nothing would be worse when watching a movie that I am streaming I the car and I loose cellular coverage. The good news is with it downloading when you are done watching it, delete it and download another one.

Not unless they are iTunes store purchases or in other apps on AppleTV such as Netflix.

  • Can not stream movies from netflix

I have an MacBook Air and I can not stream movies from Netflix.  I have downloaded Silverlight and unloaded it and reloaded it but still can not stream movies. What is up

What exactly happens when you try to view a movie?  And how exactly are you "unloading" Silverlight?

  • HT4799 can I stream movies from Amazon Prime and watch on my TV through Apple TV?

Can I watch streaming movies from Amazon Prime on my TV via my Apple TV?

No, you will need to purchase your content from iTunes instead.

  • How can I stream movies from amazon

I am trying to stream movies from Amazon Prime with HDMI cable and continue to get message that says: AirPlay mirroring and HDMI output are not currently available. To AirPlay video to an Apple TV, first disable mirroring: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access control center to find AirPlay options.

Sorry, got distracted and posted prematurely.
This appears to be an ongoing issue with amazon and netflix.
    Can not find an answer.
Maybe someone else knows how to solve.

  • How can i stream movies from my pc to apple tv

I would like to stream HULU movies that are on my PC to Apple TV. How can that be done?

Only compatible video files from itunes can be streamed from a computer.
If these are downloaded and unprotected files rather than streaming in a browser you may be able to convert them and add to iTunes.

  • Can you stream movies from time machine to apple tv

Can you stream purchased movies from Apple Time Machine to Apple TV?
I have both an Apple TV and an Apple Time Machine. Both great devices BUT my internet connection is not great and apparently, the telephone exchange needs to be upgraded in order for it to improve and right now, the phone company has no plans to upgrade the exchange . So, I've bought movies from Apple TV and have downloaded them (using Apple TV) and watched them. They seem to stay on Apple TV for a few days before they need to be downloaded again if I (actually my kids) want to watch the movie again. Problem is, it takes about 15 hours to download a regular movie due to the poor internet connection. My kids don't have that much patience. I know I can download a movie onto my Mac and stream it from there to Apple TV but that means I have to have the Mac available. Since I work at an office and take my MacBook to use at work, it isn't always there for the kids to get their daily Frozen hit. See the issue I face? Apple TV and Apple Tme Machine are great devices. Can they be used in conjunction with one another?
So, what I was wondering, is it possible to stream from Apple Time Machine to Apple TV, i.e. use Time Machine to store your movies for Apple TV?
    Thanks
    Philip

    No.
    Time Machine is an application.
Time Capsule is hardware (what you have).
As suggested, you download them to iTunes and they will work fine on the AppleTV.

Yes but you need a computer running iTunes.

  • Can i stream movies to apple tv directly

Can you stream movies from the time capsule directly to the apple tv?

No the TC is not a media player or server. The Apple TV if you have a Gen 1 or Gen 2 can play files... but you will need to jail break it... ie load 3rd party firmware. ATV 3 has so far resisted all attempts to hack.

  • DVD Players that will Stream Movies from Media Hub

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The Oppo BDP-83 http://www.oppodigital.com/blu-ray-bdp-83/ since its Januaray firmware upgrade.  DLNA is an un-advertized feature and some flavors of h.264 support was added in the latest Beta firmware release.  From my experience, it seems quite tolerant of  (MP4 home) movies in a MKV container;  I haven't tried streaming Blu-Rays. Check out:
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?s=b912bb7489a6adb326ed42af8defc698&t=1215071 for other experiences.  When reading, keep in mind that the NMHxxx uses a TwonkyMedia server.
The BDP-83 also streams hi-res photos of the 10 Mega pixel variety and mp3s quite well but does not handle 5 channel losses audio via DLNA _yet_.
In addition to outstanding DVD and Blu-Ray playback, it also plays audio CDs, SACDs and BD-audio from disks.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    Restart your router.
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)
