I know now to wait until the 'extended edition' of a film is released, but I feel cheated for having purchased the theatrical release. As in the case of The Desolation of Smaug. I would simply like to swap this purchase of for the Extended edition (and am happy to pay the difference in price), rather than have to purchase two copies of the same film. Can itunes help?

Can I swap out my mechanical HDD (7200 RPM, 320Gb) for a solid state drive? If so, am I able to purchase such a drive, like the ones that come standard in Macbook Pros on the Apple site? Can I purchase an item like this from Apple?
If not, could someone point me in the right direction?

Negative, the cases look similar but internally are EXTREMELY different. Even the later ( late 2005 ) G5 are internally different than the earlier G5.

I am using a SB Audigy EAX. My headphones sound like a blown speaker mostly out of left ear. I tryed everything including reinstalling xp on my dell and nothing worked [yes I tried other headphones to no avail]. Finally I played around with the balance and realised that the left and right channels were leaking together slightly so I think there is a physical problem on the card. As a temp solution I have set my card to use four speakers and plugged my headphones into the rear out which is a different jack on the card. It sounds fine from the rear out jack but I wish there was a way to have the card use the rear out jack for line out output. In other words is there a program or driver that can tell the chip to swap line out jack for rear out jack? My card is no longer under warranty and I only ever use heaphones. The problem with my temp solution is that some winamp plugins and games don't function properly.

You can do it, but do you really want to? I think an external is a better option. Having two DVD drives is a huge advantage. It makes copying DVDs a snap.

I'm outside my 90 days of technical support and I don't have time in the coming week to visit an Apple Store, but I am having nothing but regrets about getting the Verizon version of the iPad 3. Basically, I had the issue that many are having who stop their data plan for more than a month and their SIM card gets burned. I've been to both the Apple Store and Verizon Store (twice) to resolve the issue and the Verizon Store wants to put me on a post paid plan.
I'm not going to call Verizon Wireless to have them mail me a new card and start over but I'm afraid the whole process will just begin again.
I don't hear any complaints from AT&T users and just want to switch to them and be done with it.
Has anyone done this at an Apple Store or am I doomed?

I signed up for a month of data on my iPad. After the month was over, I did not sign up for the next month because I did not need it until later in the summer. My account does not come up in the iPad settings and there is no way to restart the data plan from the iPad until I get a new SIM card.
Other Verizon users have had this issue and I'm not sure if any of them can now control their plans as advertised (maybe someone can chime in?). If Verizon doesn't offer this option, then Apple needs to inform their customers on their own site and in their stores what they are getting into. I talked with both an Apple employee and a Verizon employee and the Apple employee states I am in control, the Verizon employee states I'm not. But I did not purchase the iPad from the Verizon employee, it was from the Apple employee.

I'm hoping someone can offer some help: I am unable to install the above patch on a T61 w/XP Pro/SP3. Error is simply, "1 Package did not install." Manual install gets same result. In the past when a patch did not instaqll I have had success by downloading and manually installing it, but I can't find the executable for this particular patch. Can anyone make a suggestion? Or point me to the executable?

This is how I was able to successfully install the Lenovo Patch Utility:
1) Enable if necessary and log into the built-in Administrator account.
2) Run System Update. Download and install the Lenovo Patch Utility (unsure if this is a necessary step,)
3) At this point, the Lenovo Patch Utility is not installed. The previous version of the Lenovo Patch Utility will display in Programs and Features.
4) Run System Update under an administrator account. Download and install the Lenovo Patch Utility (I ran this under a user-created Administrator account; unsure if works under built-in Administrator account..) Lenovo Patch Utility will no longer appear in Programs and Features. This indicates it has been succesfully installed.
5) Disable built-in Administrator account if desired for security reasons.
