I have an iPad with an ID that is associated with 1 credit card but I don't wan't to use that credit card to make puchases. Can I switch to a different user ID and make puchases on a different credit card and/or iTunes redeemed points and then switch back to my original ID (before the 90 days wait period us up)?

Each person in your home can have their own Apple ID provided it is tied the their own separate email address.
iTunes permits up to five authorized computers connected to a single Apple ID: iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.
For this all to work well, however, each user in your household should have a separate user account on the computer they commonly use.

Easiest way is to create separate computer logins with all your own info including your own iTunes library.
I recommend each individual not have more than one AppleID because you will have purchases on multiple accounts
You can use more than one AppleID in an iTunes library.
AppleID/iTunes =used for purchases.
iTunes library = iTunes and all media on your computer.

Winston, what sort of set up do you have for 10 apple tvs? - I currently have 2 and cannot stream different movies successfully at the same time to both of them from a single macbook pro. I am looking at upgrading to a system with a macbook mini or server streaming different content to 3-5 apple tvs. Currently all streaming is on the same channel and via 2 airport extremes and a new express. Still finding the system very very slow.

Yes, no problem at all.
AppleTV 1 should still appear in the same itunes it syncs/streams from.
For AppleTV2 you must enable Home Sharing on it and in iTunes, but you dio not see it as a device in itunes.

I am having issues with my Apple ID and iTunes. I can log into the Apple ID with no issues on the Apple website and on my iPhone and computer but as soon as I try and do an update to my 51 Apps that need to be updated it says "Apple ID as been disabled" and I have contacted iTunes and they said that my credit card was hacked so they shut it off. So I tried to enter a different credit card in iTunes and it says invalid. But it is not its a brand new card and I have used it multiple times and there is more then enough room on that card. If you got them from iBooks, then no. As far as I know, iBooks are linked to the Apple ID that downloaded them. If you got them via Kindle or the such, the apps may have a sharing function.
If it's another app, then whatever the rules of that app says is what works.
If you're looking for e-books on a budget, check out your local library. Many have e-books you can check out for a period of time, and they either work with an app or are PDF files with some sort of time limit encoding in them

Way too many users post here about problems with this game. The only thing that you can do is contact the app developer or iTunes Store Support. Of course, it would be helpful if you explained in detail what happens when you try to make an in app purchase.

You can create a new user for another Apple ID. Open System Preferences > Users and Groups and select + button to create an user. Then, go to  > Log Out and log in the new user

There seems to be a limit on how many apple ids can be created from the same cpu. Trying to create 100 apple ids for a client to use on ipads distributed to employees i found i could only create three or four before i got the message account cannot be created, contact itunes support. I have my main flat screen with the Apple TV connected via component through to my Home theater system and wanted to also run it direct to the second HDMI for times when my wife does not want to go through the HT setup, etc. I had noticed a 1080i option, not 1080P. I gather 1080P will come up if I switch it to HDMI? My cable box allows simultaneous component and HDMI outputs. I didn't realize that 1080P is not available on the component spigots.

yes there can be two different accounts authorized. Sign into your account and authorize your purchases. You will however use the same music library.

I was looking into purchasing 2 apple tvs and was wondering if they can be setup with different apple ids. I need to have mine setup with my id and be able to hook my devices to it , but have the one in a bedroom hooked to a different apple id and have my friend's devices stream to that one and not mine. Is this possible?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order that your Apple TV only streamed from your iTunes Library and your friends to your friends, you would both have to have different homesharing ID's.
So far as devices go, any device on a network can stream over AirPlay to an Apple TV, to ensure each of you couldn't stream to the others device you can enable a password via the Apple TV which would then need entering when you used a device for AirPlay.
Shouldn't be a problem to do what you want to do.
