I want to buy a second iPod (Shuffle) and synch it with part of my content in iTunes. Is it possible?

Of course you can. I use 2 minis and 1 shuffle with my computer, and I am going to get a nano too.

How do i synce two different ipods with one computer??

i recently purchased an ipod 5th generation for my other half which i have set up an account for and comes up when i plug in but the home page always comes up with my ipod stuff which is a 4th generation ipod. i have no problem with mine as it stores songs etc but when i plug the other one in it deletes whats on there and i have to manually tick all the songs again to sync back on to it. is this normal?? i am using a windows xp and have no issues with the computer and my ipod just the other one. i also have updated itunes to itunes 9 so the 5th generation ipod can download stuff. it seems to store songs and then when i go to download or update it takes them off and am back to square one!!!! please help!!

No, it's impossible as your iTunes Library containing your new music is on your computer, which you don't have access to.

Use the backup of the media and other important files from the old computer to put them on the new computer.
iTunes only syncs with one computer/library at a time.
If you have failed to maintain a backup or no longer have the old computer, you may be out of luck.
iTunes purchases can be transfered from the iDevice. Connect the device, do NOT sync. Select File > Transfer Purchases.
This will only transfer iTunes purchases. All other media will not transfer and will be wiped from the device when it is synced with a new computer/library.

definitely you can..just connect the ipod to the computer and set up the ipod...either automatically if you want all the songs in this account or manually if you want selected songs from this account...

Yes, sync settings for each device are independent of each other.

Can't sync my iPod with replacement computer.

The mother board on my computer crashed, so I got another computer, second hand. The original owner also had an itunes account. When I plug in my iPod, I get a message that it is synced with a different library. The music list shows all my music, but I think also the music of the last user. What files did you move around so this replacement PC is showing your music? Or is it only showing your music when your iPod is plugged in?
itunes is like other PC programs - when you get a different PC, you need to move files & settings over from the old PC. Such as browser bookmarks, email settings & contacts, digital photos....all of it.

1. Can I create one generic iTunes account (e.g. [email protected]) for all the iTouch's to use?

I've already answered this - you can authorize up to 5 computers with the same iTunes account with iTunes.
No more than 5 computers can be authorized with the same iTunes account with iTunes.
No iPod Touch will be updated via wi-fi until iOS 5.0 is released.

Open itunes, connect device, select what you want to sync, sync, disconnect device.
do the same for the next device.

You can sync with onee at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
Copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.
