The iPad is a computer and a very good one at that. You can mix and match syncing from both an iPhone and an iPad, but you will need another computer or Mobile me to achieve it.
iPhone apps will synch to iPad but not necessarily the other way around. Many apps that came over via the iPhone are sized incorrectly because of the screen size. Some have a 2x zoom, but the resolution is poor.

After I upgraded to iOS 7.0.2 I can't sync iPad mini with PC (on Windows XP). I keep getting the folowing message: "The iPad could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchase items on this iPad". I tried everything:
1) De-authorizing and rebooting (about 100 times);
2) De-installing and reinstalling itunes;
3) Deactivating the firewall;
4) Run Diagnostics (result - all works fine including sync);
5) Tried to look for the "SC info" directory or file everyone is referring to in the Computer (Hidden files) of the iTunes directory - nothing;
6) Ticking and unticking the |Sync over Wi-Fi" option;
7) Changing backup from iCloud to this Computer and back.
I am using the admin account on my PC - doesn't help.
I cannot sync anything at all.
BTW - on the PC and on the iPad - everything that is there plays OK. I can get stuff from iStore both from iPad and from the PC - but I can't sync the two.
It looks like an iOS 7 bug to me - any ideas or advice?

No I have tried multiple connections, at home, at work, and even at my church but to no avail. For example I have recently purchased a CD from Itunes using my computer, but my ipad will only play it from the cloud. I've tried to download straight from my Ipad and that too does not work. When ever I try to plug the Ipad into the computer a window pops up and says that the sync has failed. If I try to drag the file to the Ipad it will say it's loading than just quit before it transfers. hmmm. I hope they get this bug fixed some. would really like to have that CD to isten to on the go. Another issue I am no having is the apps are having trouble updating. I have tried to turn off auto update and do it manually and that too is failing.

Do as it says. In order for iOS 7 to PC sync to work right, you need to have iTunes v11.1.1 on the PC.

Thanks for that, that was my first suggestion but he wants to not email either. His problem is he used his old nokia to do it and it was fine, now anything other than that he thinks is too much hassle.

Your iPhone's iOS must be same or newer than the one in backups. In your case it is older so you need to update your iPhone and then recover it with backup.

Either will work. 4G only works in Canada and the USofA. In foreigh countries the New iPad will fall back to 3G if you have a local sim and iPad data plan from a local provider.

A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. I have been trying to solve this issue for months and now that I have my new iPad I would really like to get this figured out.
I have a new Dell running Window7 64 bit. Almost 100% of the time I can't sync any of my devices. They time out, or appear to be syncing but are not.
I have tried updating drivers, deleting and reinstalling iTunes, de-authorizing and re-authorizing accounts...basically everything I can think of.
The thing is, all of these devices will sync fine on my Macbook, and my 5 year old Dell running Windows XP.

After computer crashed, I can not Sync iPad (1)to 2nd laptop. Help please.

Ihave 2 laptops. Main cashed... I now can not 'sync' my iPad to my 2nd laptop. (Both are Windows 7 boxes)
I tried logging into my Acct with my Apple ID... still can not sync.
I HAVE backed it up to the 2nd laptop. Would wiping and restoring be an option? Is this possible?

Everything is Sorted!
The release of iTunes 11.0.2 and iOS 6.1.2 for my iPhone 4, seems to have sorted everything. I can now sync music, films and photos between my MacBook and my phone.
I was dubious about blindly doing the updates but decided they couldn't really mess up any further functionality so I went for it and it's sorted now.
Look in to, and take the gamble, it's up to you.

Can't sync ipad because of wrong over capacity notice

I have Ipad mini 64 GB. On the setting it shows that I have 14GB free. But when i want to sync it and add some music it says that there are 17GB (!!!) over capacity, so I can't do anything.

This may be long and I apologize. I am new to all iPod, iPad products. Ihave an hp with windowsxp for home use. I downloaded iTunes to my pc, then connected the iPad to my computer. Nothing happened. What's not showing up? The iPad or the File>Transfer Purchases part? If you can't see the iPad and you are running iTunes 11 you can go to View>Show Sidebar in the iTunes menu in order to see the sidebar and your iPad should appear under the devices heading there.
You can right click on the iPad name and select Transfer Purchases from there as well. Or in iTunes 11 you can go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases from the menu at the top of the screen.
