Can I sync my iphone with 2 different Itunes Library without erasing data?

Hello,. I would like to know if its possible to sync my iphone with two different Itunes library without data from first itunes library getting deleted when sync with second itunes library, (I mean, at least the music and videos)

iOS devices can only sync with one library at a time. To sync with a new library, you have to remove the current libraries content.
An alternative would be to move content to one computer (using an external drive or homesharing), and then sync with the library you choose.

The sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases

New PC: how can I sync my Iphone with a new PC without loosing data?

I have an old Windows Vista PC with Itunes.
I want to sync my iPhone4 with a new Windows 8 PC.
I only sync music and video with the iphone and itunes, NOT email adress contacts, etc (I do not want to mix and mingle all my contacts on PC and phone).
I DO want to take all the contacts to the new itunes.
Problem: When I connect my iphone to the new Windows 8 PC with the new Itunes, I get the warning that "all the data on the iphone will be replaced with the data on the Itunes", in other words: the iphone will be empty
Anyone any advice how to do this simple thing which is made super complex by Apple? Thanks.
( @ Apple: Apple engineers and Apple marketing should be ashamed that there is no simple way to do this, and there is no simple and clear information on the apple website for this !!!)

Copy everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to the new one.
To what do you sync your contacts? Icloud? Other service?

Correct. The iphone is not a storage/backup device. It simply mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced.
It should be very simple. Everything should be on your computer, or cloud service. The itunes simply allows your information from your computer, cloud service to be protable.
Copy everything to the new computer, then sync.

I logged onto my computer and all my iTunes music was suddenly gone. It was almost like it had deleted itself. Now I can't find the same Library I was using before and can't download music. If I try to sync it to another computer, it will delete all the songs i have now.

I had the same issue with a withdrawn app. Just copy all the .app files from the old directory to somewhere on the new machine, then drag them onto the Application menu item on the left hand side and iTunes will import them as long as you've already registered iTunes for the same account.
Job done! Worked a treat for me - including the app that wasn't available any more.....

in the family we have one Mac that hods all the music within iTunes. We have two iPhones which are currently linked with this iTunes library. As we have different apps and different settings the iphones get confused with the apps and especially with the iPhone settings (I have mobileme, my wife not). So now we both have each others notes for example synced to both iPhones.
We would like to separate the whole thing now - is there any save way to have these iPhones synced separately to the one iTunes library without loosing data?

Unfortunately this does not work because iTunes still keeps one account with the store active regardless which library I open. So when I switch the account in the store it will be switched for both libraries. That means that I can not separate the iPhone applications and all the other specific sync parameters.
I thought about using my wife's account on the Mac and pointing iTunes to the new library - the problem here is that then the iPhoto library is not accessible any more......
I can't really believe that there is no solution from Apple - I mean there must be more couples and families out there with 2 and more iPhones syncing with one iTunes / iPhoto etc libraries.

SYncing is from itunes on the computer to the phone an dnot the other way around. If they connect to your computer and sync their phone they will have your library annd theirs will be gone. It is recommended that you only sync to one computer

The only difference I can think of adding is that if you want to use the 1 computer with multiple iPhones but want EACH iPhone to sync different information would be best if each iPhone user syncing had their own User Profile for the computer.
Other than that, basically yeah. No real limitation to the # of iOS Devices connected to 1 computer

She should not sync her phone to a different iTunes library. Once solution is to set up Home Sharing, then in iTunes on her computer drag and drop the music from your library to hers. Installed Itunes on my second computer. When I dock the Ipod shuffle a message appears:

I have synched my iphone to two computers. I want to synch one of my computers (because it contains more music files) to my iphone... the catch is I do not want to erase my entire iphone to do this. I just bought an iphone and was wondering how do I sync it to my itunes as well as my mom's for music. I did this with our ipods but now i can't seem to do it. The libraries are on the same computer, just different profiles.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new one.
It sounds like you have failed to do this, which is not good at all.
You will have to transfer your itunes purchases from your iphone. Authorize your computer for your itunes account

Open itunes, plug in iphone, do NOT sync, click File>Transfer Purchases
When you do sync you will lose your pics ( photo library - synced from your old computer), your itunes content ( music, apps, videos,etc) , your contacts and your calendars. So do NOT sync yet. This is why a backup copy is so important.
Enter one unique contact and calendar entry on your computer.
When you first sync, you should get the option to merger the data. Choose it.
If you want your pics, then you will need to e-mail them to yourself before you sync. They will not be of the original quality as they are reduced when synced to iphone.
When all is as goos as it can be, then backup your computer, and always maintain the backup.

Syncing shouldn't trouch you photos unless you have photos in a Photo Library album. These would be photos that were synced to your phone from your computer. If you do have any, you'll need to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your computer prior to syncing.
If you prefer to backup your camera roll photos prior to syncing, open iTunes and go to Preferences>Devices and check "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Then connect your phone to your computer and import them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then, to minimize data loss, follow the steps in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141. To follow the steps, first open iTunes and go to View>Show Sidebar. Also, Transfer Purchases is now located in File>Devices.
