Can i sync on different computers that have same account.

i have a new computer, couldn't migrate from my old one since it stop working, can i sync on the new computer without loosing everything and puting it again. So can you sync on different computers that have the same account?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.

I'm sure large organisations benefit from larger discounts than I can find online, but at first glance it seems to me that Adobe Anywhere is going to need around $60K investment in hardware (windows 8 enterprise servers, Tesla K10 GPUs and media grid) before you even get a look at what Adobe will ask for in terms of Anywhere licenses, or how plugins etc will work (or not).
And that's a minimum entry level system, clearly the big guys are going to spend a LOT more than this.
Adobe Anywhere is (as I suspected when it was first announced) going to be out or reach for most people looking to share projects between a couple of remote editors, though I'm sure for some smaller companies it could easily pay for itself in reduced facilities costs over time.
I guess we'll just have to continue the way we are for now... though frankly the repeated "conforming" is beyond a joke. I still can't figure out why Premiere Pro seems to randomly decide it needs to reconform all the media so that I have multiple copies of the conformed files with incremental numbers after them and have to wait 2 hours for some multicam sequences to be even mildly editable because one of it's files is last in line to be done. So we end up transcoding everything to a 32bit float audio which totally undermines the concept of editing natively. < sigh > FCPX doens't need to do this, so why does Premiere Pro?

Are you wanting them to have access to your account so they can purchase items using your credit card? Or do you want them "sharing" your account for some other reason?

I have a sole i-pod and two pc's, used the instructions for "iTunes for Windows: Moving your iTunes Media folder" in the hope that I could synch my one i-pod between two different computers that are sharing the same library. Is it possible to have two seperate computers that only share an external hard drive (one wireless, one not) ? When I am looking at a shared library should it appear the same on both machines (ie: playlists/ purchased list etc)?

If it is moved correctly, playlists will display on both computers and it should be possible.
Close iTunes.
Hold <SHIFT> and launch iTunes.
When prompted to create a new or open an existing iTunes library point iTunes to the iTunesLibrary.itl file on the external drive.
The entire library should now show up with all playlists and playcounts.
Do this on both computers.
Keep in mind that only one computer can access iTunes at a time, otherwise errors will occur when each computer attempts to write to or update the iTunesLibrary.itl file.
Syncing may work seemlessly with both computers, but honestly syncing is designed to work with one and only one computer.

No - not at all. Look at that one app that I gave you the link for. That is supposed to transfer all of the iPad content to the new computer. I have no idea how much it costs, but it's worth a look. There are other out there as well. Google "apps to transfer iPad content to computer" or something to that effect. These apps claim to transfer everything.
Several things to remember - you can still transfer all of the iTunesicon tent that you purchased by using the Transfer Purchases option in iTunes. Just remember to turn off auto syncing before you do it. You will also have to authorize your new computer to transfer the purchase if you haven't done so already. From the iTunes menu on your computer go to Store> Authorize this computer.
Plus any apps or music that you have bought can be downloaded again at no charge with the cloud feature in the latest iPad iOS.
EDIT - I see that you did transfer the purchases. Look at one of those apps that I described and they should be able to get you set up. You should also invest in an external hardrive for backing up all of your computer content ... don't want this to happen again!

Sorry for hijacking your thread as put by Dahveed. However I have resolved my issue so I thought I'll share it with the rest of you.
I checked for the error 3194 in youtube and I found some good videos that tell you how to resolve the problem. The issue I was facing was the actually (I know because I have resolved it now) the communication between my computer and apple server which can be fixed as following (if you are using windows):
There is file in following directory:
C:\Windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
The file normally has no extension and it is in file format. You need to open it and make sure that every line that has apple server id starts with "#". In my case one of the line started directly with the ip address and then gs.apple.com.
Perform your restore/update after that and hopefully it should be resolved (mine did).

My husband and I wish to sync our apple calendars. Is it possible to do so? We have 2 separate apple Id's. Tried google but seems to sync from google to Iphone calendar but not the other way. I much prefer apples calendar because of the functions available but my husband and I need to see one another's schedules. Any help out there ? You each need an iCloud account and to sync your iCal calendars with iCloud. Then you can each share a calendar or calendars privately, so only available to the other, who would be able to edit it, or not, depending on your settings. Please see this page:

Can't sync photos from ipad that I synced from another computer... I want to have them on my computer.
Why isn't there a way to do this? I don't get it. Sharing photos is such an important thing I don't understand why Apple makes it so hard to do this.
OK here is my senario:
Recently went on a trip Hong Kong with someone... we both had iphones and took hundreds of awesome photos. Now we want to share them with eachother. Too many photos for email and I don't wish to upload to flicker/facebook/etc...
This is what I did thinking it should work...
1) synced photos on her iphone with her computer
2) synced photos on MY iphone with her computer
3) put ALL the hong kong photos in one album
4) connected my ipad to her computer... attempted to copy photos from iphoto to ipad -- NOPE, can't be done (***?!?!)
5) so I synced the photos (and only the photos) in the hong kong album using itunes to my ipad -- this worked -- all photos now on my ipad
6) drove home (5 hours away) and connected ipad to my computer and attempted to import with iphoto -- NOPE, can't be done (***!?!?) Won't even show the photos.
7) itunes wants to replace all the photos on my ipad with the photos from my computer (***?!?!)
How are you suppose to do this?! How are you suppose to be able to share lots of photos with people?

Photos are not copied off the iPad via iTunes.
For photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
For photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer (which has a free lite version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer) which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

If your country/carrier is not on the list then there's no LTE on your iPhone.

Do IMAQ Cast Image or IMAQ Linear averages give different results when using different computers that are running under Windows XP ?

I'm currently developping an image processing algorithm using Labview 7.1 and the associated IMAQ Vision tools. After several tests, I found a weird result. Indeed, I put the labview algorithm - including the IMAQ VI on the library to get sure that I use all the time the same VI - on my memory stick and used it on two different computers. I tested the same picture (still in my memory stick) and had two very different results.
After several hours trying to understand why, I found that there were a difference between the results given by both computers at the very begining of the algorithm. Indeed, I used a JPEG file.
To open it, I first create an Image with IMAQ Create (U8). Then, I open it.
Then in my first sub-VI, I use IMAQ Cast Image to be sure that the picture is a U8 grayscale picture.
Right after that, I use the IMAQ Linear Averages. The results of this VI are different on the two computers.
I tried several time on the same picture : one computer always give me the same result but the two computers give me a different result. So there is no random variable on the results.
So my question is : Do IMAQ Cast Image or IMAQ Linear averages give different results when using different computers that are running under Windows XP ?
My bet is on IMAQ Cast Image but I'm not quite sure and I do not undestand why. The labview and IMAQ are the same on both computers.
The difference between the two computer are above :
Computer 1 :
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz with a RAM of 1Go. The processor is an Intel(R).
The OS is windows XP Pro 2002
Computer 2 :
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz with a RAM of 512Mo. The processor is an Intel(R).
The OS is windows XP Pro 2002.

Where do I find the "On My Mac" mailbox files and can I Sync them across computers?

I want to find out if I can sync them across computers and have the files show up on my desktop and my notebook.

Here's where mine seem to be:
Macintosh HD > Users > (MyName) > Library > Mail > V2 > Mailboxes > (etc.)
Not sure if yours are there. I haven't tried syncing them between computers with a program such as Chronosync but it may work.
Maybe this helps.
