  • HT4236 I am trying to delete some photos that I imported from my computer, but I can't find a set of instructions that work for my iPod touch 4

I can't seem to get rid of some photos that I imported from my computer. Could someone guide me on the precise procedure?

    1) Connect your iPod to your machine and open iTunes
    2) Select your iPod from the Itunes sidebar. If the sidebar is unavailable (View > Show sidebar)
    3) After you click your iPod device, navigate over to the 'Photos' Tab
    4) Uncheck 'Sync Photos from: ____'
    5) Click sync in the bottom right hand corner and the photos will be removed from your iPod.

  • When I start syncing photos that I previously removed from my iPhone, iTunes stop answering.

I'm trying to sync photos that I removed from my iPhone back to it, via iTunes. It does contain some videos that I took too, it syncs the photos but when it's time to transfer the videos, iTunes stop answering.
    Please help!

I'm with you! I have 4 "Albums" on my phone, and two of them I don't get an option to delete. When I hit "Edit" it's litearly "edit" like redeye and such. And if I hit the little "arrow" that usually gives you more options, the options are to share to facebook, twitter, print, etc. It's taking up a lot of space!

  • HT201302 How to import photos that are imported from itunes back to iphoto?

I had imported photos from Itunes( Iphoto ) to my iphone and i deleted all the photos in Iphoto. Now I wanted to control some of the photos but I can't! If I sync photos again, all the photos will be gone. So I wanted to import the photos in my Iphone back to Iphoto. Anyone knows how?

The iTunes transfer process for photos from your computer is a one way transfer process only. Photos transferred from your computer are optimized for viewing on the iPhone - the original resolution is changed/lowered, which is why transferring these photos in the opposite direction is not supported.
There are some 3rd party paid utilities that provide for transferring these photos in the opposite direction but the original resolution of these photos deleted from your computer will be lost and the 3rd party utilities are not supported by Apple.

  • I have completed the tutorial Adobe LR5 Classroom in a Book.  I have a MacBook Pro.  Every photo that I import from either my hard drive or the tutorial has red where white should be.  What in the world am I doing?

I have installed LR5 on my MacBook Pro.  I have completed a book that had online tutorials called Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 Classroom in a Book.  All of my photos that are in my tutorial and the ones that I have imported from my hard drive have red on them where white should be.  I see this immediately when switching from Library to Develop before I do anything to the photo except import it.  I would appreciate any tips!

You are seeing red because that is the color of the clipping indicator. It is indicating that the whites are being clipped. You can turn off the clipping indicator by clicking on the little square in the upper right-hand corner of the histogram. Or you can adjust your highlights, whites and exposure until the red disappears. If you see blue on your photos that is indicating that the shadows are being clipped, and that is controlled by the little square in the upper left-hand corner of the histogram.
As a side note, you can activate or deactivate both clipping indicators by simply pressing the J key while in the develop module.

  • Where are my Photos that I imported using IPHOTO?

I am using IPHOTO 9.  I have about 15,000 pics/videos that I have imported using IPHOTO.  That much stuff takes an enormous amount of my hardrive space on my Macbook Pro, which is only 500GB.  Yesterday I purchased a 2TB Time Capsule.  My intention was to use this as storage for all those pics.  But, I'm reading that isn't a good idea.  I do have a 650 GB external WD HDD that I have moved the Iphoto Library to.  My questions are:  Where are all the original phtos stored that I imported from my camera, and other places into IPHOTO?  How do I access all of those files without stepping through dozens of folders within the Master folder under Iphoto Library?
I purchased PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 11 and Photoshop Elements Organizer.  I wanted to organize all my photos utilizing Photoshop Elements Organizer but I can't seem to find them.  When I go to Import pictures/videos from "Iphoto" under Elements Organizer it takes an extremely long time.  In fact, the dialogue that shows how much time is left and what picture it is on indicates like around picture number 50 of 15,000 after an hour or so.  Just way too long.  So, I don't know what to do?  Anyone that has an idea of how I can better utilize these two programs or just one or the other, would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

This may be of interest to you:
Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop.  When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that  PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file.  You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements  the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.  In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
Note:  to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.

  • Can't sync song that I imported.  It's in the library but it's not syncing.

I have a Meditation CD that I purchased years ago in a small shop in Park City.  The music is in my iTunes library, but I can never find the artwork, because the CD is a rare find.  My issue is that everytime I get a new iPhone, most of the music downloads to the new device with no problem.  However, we this album and song, it sits in the library and doesn't sync.  When I reset the software on my phone, it finally downloads.  I just had to reset my brand new iphone 4 that I've had for 3 days.  It was a software issue.  All of my music is there except this album, which is still in my library.  Could the song be corrupt and that's why it isn't showing up on my iPhone?  It was on every other device I've had.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

  • I have a apple ipod 3 gen and i need to updat from ios 4.3.3 and i have photos that are important they are on photo library and i cant import them to my computer how do i ?

I;ve been trying to figure this out and i cant it wont let me do anything.

The DropBox import, like regular photo/video import or works for items in the Camera Roll album. Not for photos synced to the iPod like the poster has.
    The poster can:
    - Email them and sync them to the updated iPod
    - Import them via a third-party computer program like TouchCopy or PhoneView. Those are paid apps.

  • Does the ipad reduce the quality of photos that are imported using the SD to lightning connection kit?

Hi everyone. I'm hoping you can help.
I'm currently travelling and my intention is to take photos using my camera, import them to my iPad using the lightning to SD connector and then upload the photos to cloud storage for safe keeping.
The problem I've found is when I import photos to my iPad the file size, and therefore quality of the photos, is reduced. I know this because I have tested uploading the same photo to Mega.co.nz cloud storage using both the iPad and a Nexus 4 phone - the iPad uploaded the photo at file size 2.9mb and the Nexus uploaded the photo at the original file size of 5.8mb.
    Can this issue be resolved?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ben

    Sorry, issue resolved.
For those that may be having similar problems, the issue is the Mega.co.nz app that was created for apple products. It's possibly a bug that means it either compresses the file or does not accurately record the file size. I will report the fault to Mega.

  • IPhoto annoyingly renames photos that I import from Mail

When I "import to iPhoto" from my Mail app, iPhoto strips the original photo name and renames everything Image, Image1, Image2.... I only recently noticed this and it's messing me up since the data is now lost (i didn't keep the original emails with the original photo names). Is there a preference somewhere that I can select to STOP iPhoto from doing this? Now, I have to save the photo from email to a folder on my desktop and import from there. What a pain.
    MacOS Xv. 10.7.5
    iPhoto '11 v 9.4.3
    Thanks! V.

Thanks, Larry. When in Mail, if I want to save photo attachments from someone's email, while in that I email, I go to the far right (next to Attachments) and click on "Save" and scroll down to "add to iPhoto"... Today, when I did that, the Mail attachment showed as "100_0628.jpg" --- when I went to see it in iPhoto, it showed up as "Image 1." When i go to Information, there is no evidence of a previous name. The date of the photo, naturally, becomes today's date.
And thanks for the tip about updating my profile. Done.

  • Where are my photos that i import to iphoto?

I have photoshop lightroom and i want to edit photos in there but all of my photos are located in iphoto. do i need to copy them all over to the photos folder of my mac? that seems a bit silly because i am wasting a lot of hard drive space doing this. lightroom doesn't seem to pull the files from iphoto. am i wrong?
    thanks

    No you are not wrong.
The issue is that iPhoto is a Photo Organiser and so is Lightroom - they both want to manage the files. Lightroom is not a photo editor like Photoshop, and so you cannot integrate the two apps as you would with Photoshop or any other editor.

  • If you edit a photo in iPhoto, copy it to desktop, then back, will it have the "edits" saved?

i.e. will you be able to 'revert to original'. I ask because there are occasions when I wish to copy photos to back them up but then might rename an entire collection and wish to copy it back into iPhoto.

    No.
I ask because there are occasions when I wish to copy photos to back them up but then might rename an entire collection and wish to copy it back into iPhoto.
I'm not sure what you're suggesting there as it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. You can ename photos within iPhoto and the best way to back up is to back up the Library and not just the photos.

  • Import/Sync Photo's from external USB drive

I would like to sync photos that are stored in a external USB drive. In iTunes the files are greyed out and I am unable to select them unless I first import them into iPhoto. That is a waste of space. Is there a workaround for this?

Check your permissions for the drive, folders and files you are trying to use. Are the photos in the correct format on the drive.

  • Can't sync photos! :-(

    Okily...
I've recently bought a 30GB video iPod and everything was all going fine until I tried to put photos on it.
When I try to sync photos to my iPod I get the message "The iPod cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found."
Any help greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

    Hi Gemma!
When I try to sync photos to my iPod I get the message "The iPod cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found."
With the "required file" error in that kind of context (specifically when syncing photos), that could be caused by a corrupt Photo Cache folder on your computer.
Try deleting it, by doing this:
With your iPod disconnected, go to "START > Search". Select "All Files and Folders", and make sure that you are searching your entire Local Disk.
Then, type "ipod photo cache" in the blank, and click on "OK" to proceed with the searching.
Delete any folders called "iPod Photo Cache" that you may find.
Now, connect your iPod to your computer again. It will automatically create a new photo cache folder when you sync photos to it again, in the folder that is one level up in the hierarchy of folders from the location in which you are syncing your photos to your iPod.
Now, when you try to sync photos to your iPod, do you still get that "required file" error message?
