I have been syncing with my MacBook, and now would like to sync also with my PC. Can this be done?

You can't "sync" that is automatically update an iPod from multiple libraries or computers. If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply.

Macs can read Windows drives so you could restore and reformat the iPod on your PC. iTunes will allow you to use an iPod formatted for Windows on a Mac. Apple currently only fully supports using the iPod shuffle in FAT32 format on Mac, in other words all future software updates for the iPod would have to be carried out in Windows to maintain the formatting. Alternatively there are third party programs that will allow you to use a Mac formatted iPod on Windows, this is one for instance gets good reviews. It's a commercial program so you'll have to purchase a license to use it:: XPlay 2

Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device. The easy way to do this is to keep the library on an external drive which you can plug into either computer. Of course this isn't always the desirable solution. You can try routinely copying the library from computer to computer though this gets tiresome.

Do you normally sync via iTunes and your computer? If so, there's an option in iTunes - that you see as you plug each device in - to sync contacts. If you don't normally sync via iTunes you can download and use the iCloud control panel and use that to sync your contacts.

The computer will not erase the information. Each device will show up in iTunes as a separate device and you can control the information for each device through iTunes.

With iTunes 10 I was able to have one main iTunes library under one user and have a second user (on the same Mac) access it by putting an alias of the iTunes Libray.itl and iTunes Music Library.xml files in the second user's iTunes folder. This ensured that the library remained synced regardless of which user added or made changes to it. With iTunes 11, I am no longer able to do this. If I try I get the following error pop up: 'The iTunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occured (13014)'. If I delete the aliases in the second user's account the error message goes away but nothing shows up in the main iTunes window.
I've been able to at least access the iTunes library (which is stored on an external drive) with the second user by changing the iTunes media folder location in advanced preferences to the main iTunes library and then selecting file/add to library and selecting the iTunes media file which (eventually) pulls up all the song/movie/apps etc. information. However, the 2 libraries do not remain synced (i.e. a change in one does not show up in the other).
Anyone know of a way to get one library to remain synced between 2 user accounts on the same machine with iTunes 11 or am I going to be forced to delete and recreate the second user's iTunes info frequently to 'catch up' with the original?
Any help would be appreciated.

I can't sync my iPhone and back up my data with my computer because iTunes says to enter the passcode into my iPhone to unlock it, but I am unable to unlock and enter in my passcode on my iPhone because the screen is shattered. I have my replacement iPhone with me and I'm not going to activate it until I can sync/get the data from my broken iPhone. Now I have a few more questions: If I mail my broken iPhone to Asurion, will I be able to get my data off of my iPhone once Asurion has it? And what will happen to my old iPhone and the data on it if I activate my replacement iPhone? Will my broken iPhone just become de-activated and will the data be erased or lost or something? Could I still sync it (with the computer ir originally synced with) and back up the data?

Unless I have misunderstood your question, a 'connection' and a 'session' are the same thing. When you obtain a database connection, you have created a database session. Once you close that connection, the session dies -- it no longer exists. You cannot obtain the same 'session' when you get another database 'connection' (after you closed the first one).
