Can I sync two iPhones to the same MacBook Pro?

My wife needs to save all of her photos from her iPhone.  My iPhone has been the only one synced to the MacBook Pro. Can I sync her phone as well???

Look at the pane on the left side of the iTunes screen.  Click once on the existing name to highlight it and then begin typing.

  • CAn You Sync Two iPhones to the same iTunes Account?

Has anyone been successful in syncing two iPhones to the same iTunes account. I am the main user of our Mac and my wife just uses it for email and internet browsing. Basically she uses my user account and therefore we share one contacts list, one calendar, one iTunes, and both use the same Mac Mail with our own email addresses. Both also want to use MobileMe.
    Thanks,
    trippj

Yes.. It is a very difficult process.. First, log into 1 computer with your account and Authorize that computer to use the iPhone. then Sync your phone.. Log out and go to the second computer.. login and Authorize then sync your phone.
    It worked for me

  • Can i sync two iphones on the same computer?

My boyfriend and i both have iphones. my computer went down and now all i have is his. can i sync my phone to his itunes without messing w my data?

You can sync as many iphones as yuou like to one computer.
Syncing to a different comuter will erase all of your itunes contetn and pics from the iphone and replace with content from the new computer.
If the new computer has at least one unique contact on it, then you will get the option to merge the data.  Same with calendar.
Copy everything from your backup copy of your computer to his.

  • How can I sync two iphones to the same itunes account without deleting

My husband & I both have iphones & we share the same itunes account. He just got a iphone 4 and we are trying to transfer his music from the old phone to the new one but we are unable to do that. There is a msg that says if we choose to sync all the songs will be replaced with music from the itunes library. So does that mean he will lose all the music on his phone, replacing it with my library? Help Please!

I asked a simular question. It is confusing indeed.

  • Can I sync two iphones to the same itunes library

Trying to find out if I can sync my iphone4S and my husband's with the same itunes account. Is this possible? My phone was used initially to set up itunes; the pc recognizes his phone (serial number matches) by the sync fails.

  • Can I sync two IPHONES to the same music library.

I've got 2 separate iphones each of which is synced to its own macbook. I have my music on a NAS but the library is on one of the macbooks. I can share the music library across the computers with home sharing, but when I try to put music on one of the iphones (the one synced to computer without library), it will not allow me to put any of the music on there.
Is there a way to have one music library serve both separate macbooks as well as their respective Iphones?
    Thanks.

can i sync 20 iphones with the same itunes?

    From tt2:
    In brief...
You can sync as many devices as you like to a single library.
Up to five computers can be authorized for your account's protected content.
Each device can hold protected content from up to five different accounts.
Managing apps purchased with more than one account is a chore.
A combination of up to 10 iOS devices and computers can be authorized for automatic downloads of your purchases.

iPhones do not sync to iPads, they sync to computers.
If the calendar is being synced to an iCloud, MobileMe, or Exchange calendar, simply set up the account on all 3 devices.

  • Can I update more than one iPad and iPhone from the same MacBook pro?

Can I update more than one iPad and iPhone to ios 5 from the same MacBook pro? Our family has one MacBook pro and several iphones and ipads.  No one wants to lose their iTunes music or contact list or calendars.

Yes, but you will want to think it through before you do it.
The computer will become the "master" device, holding the definitive collection of music, photos, contacts, etc., and each iPad or iPhone will get a copy of what's on the computer. So if  everyone has different collections of music or photos that you all want to keep separate from each other, you'll want to set up different accounts on the MacBook Pro. To do that, go into "System Preferences" and click "Users", then click the "+" to create a new account for each person who needs their own set of files.
That way you can each log in to your own MacBook account before you sync your iPhone or iPad, and everyone has their own copy of iTunes and their own iPhoto. If you happen to plug in an iPhone while logged into someone else's account, you just click "don't sync" (the 1st time only, it will remember after that). Sharing the same files becomes tricky, so this is only the best method if you want to keep things 100% separate.
On the other hand, if you all have your music and photos mishmashed together on the MacBook anyway or just don't care about keeping things separate, just go ahead and sync your iPhones and iPads without setting up new accounts. But in this case, you should create playlists and photo albums in iTunes and iPhoto. Then plug in an iPhone, click on it's icon in iTunes, and change the settings for Music, Photos, etc to only sync the playlists that you want on that device. Repeat for each one. They'll all remember their own settings, and continue to sync with their designated playlists or albums.
What you cannot do is use more than one computer with a single iPhone. That will wipe out the music and photos that were on it already, replacing them with the ones on the second computer.

  • How do you sync two Ipods to the same MacBook?

Have a nano already synced to my MacBook. Want to also sync my 5th gen 30GB Ipod to the same MacBook. Have only had my MB for 3 months after 18 years of PC platform (yes I'm drinking the KoolAid baby.) This notebook is fantastic.
An issue I had with my old PC was that you couldn't sync two Ipods to the same PC unless you held down the shift key while accessing ITunes to select a library - or something like that.
Please tell me that if I plug my 5th gen into this MacBook it won't overwrite my nano songs/info that are already on this MacBook? Apple has to have done it easier than how I had to do it with the PC. Any help from you experts out there will save me a ton of grief..........Thanks! R.Ty

    Thanks!
    No problem.
My issue is however that in addition to all of the songs that I have purchased via ITunes, I have about 600 songs from my own CD's on the 5th Gen that if I restore will be gone. Time - yes....money - a little.... It would be great if I could de-authorize the PC it was synced to and now work off my mac....
In that case, check out these different media recovery options by Zevoneer for copying music from your iPod to your computer.

What you need to do is first copy all the music currently on your 5th generation iPod to your new Macbook. Once you have done that, you are free to *Erase and Sync* it upon plugging it in, or restoring it via iTunes as described above.
And if you are adding purchased music, you will need to authorize your computer if you haven't done so yet. To do this, choose Authorize from the Store drop down menu in iTunes.

  • How can I sync 2 iPhones to the same mac?

    Hello,
My wife and I share the same macbook but each have an iPhone 4s we would like to back up and sync. Are we able to back up both phones onto the same macbook and then download all the content (especially contacts) onto our new iPhone 5s? If so, please advise on how to do so.
    Thanks!

    Hey,
    1) Music Brought on the iPhone will be synced across to your Computers iTunes,
    2) You can sync two iPhones to a single iTunes, when you plug your mums old one in just click this is a new iphone on the new iphone wizard which will happen when you plug the device in for the first time, then click sync all your libary will be synced across to the phone.
Do 1 first if you want all the content you brought on the new iPhone to go accross on the old one (if it has enough space)
