Can I take my Airport Express with me and use my WiFi in another location? I'm going to be visiting with family over the next week or two and am not sure they all have WiFi in their homes. Would my AX be usable?

Yes, but minimally they need to have Ethernet and the ability for you to connect an Ethernet cable from the AEX to their router. If they are no using an Airport Extreme Base Station, then the AEX can only connect to their router using Join a wireless Network (Extend will not work without the AEBS.) This is known as Bridge Mode.

THE use of the apple support is a mess also.

The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

When using Mavericks, how can I automatically replace 'i' with 'I' when typing?
It was easy to do prior to mavericks using system preferences (language and text), but now I can only submit a 2 letter word to replace, not a 1 letter word. I have tried using a space but it doesn't allow that. I would assume that most people would love to be able to type quickly without having to make uppercase I all the time (first world problem i know), so I can't understand why apple have removed this feature.

There is the shift key, or text replacement approach, providing you have enabled two things:
Edit > Substitution > √ Text Replacement
System Preferences > Keyboard > TextClick + to add a replacement
Replaceii[spacebar]
With
I[spacebar]
Press return
Quit System Preferences
Now, when you type ii, you will see a pop-up offering I.
In the OS X App Store, search for WordService. This free collection of Services will enable you to just type your content, select it, and then choose the Service item, “Initial Caps of Sentences.” It does what it says.

Rule of thumb with apparent hardware faults is if a restart does not fix it, reinstall OS using de-brick usb method..
If it still does not work it's a hardware fault, and depending on the warranty status and your country consumer law take appropriate steps with your supplier or RIM

I'm a fan of Java code, I really am.
But when you use ADF, you decided to move to a more declarative environment.
So why not do it declarative, the adf way?
In your pagedef insert a action binding.
This can be anything, a call to the application module, a call on the iterator(Like executeWithparams, etc.)
Create an invokeAction in your pagedef and set the condition.
This example refreshes(Action 2 is execute query) the data.
First the method binding:
    <action IterBinding="PersoonIterator" id="Execute" InstanceName="LSAppModuleDataControl.Persoon"
            DataControl="LSAppModuleDataControl" RequiresUpdateModel="true" Action="2"/>And the invoke action
    <invokeAction Binds="Execute" id="refreshData"/>This always refreshes the data on page entry, but anything is possible, you can set condictions for the invokeAction.

PS Yes I know that pagedefs become backing beans in the end and yes that is Java code, but if you wanna play the ADF way, the goal is the reduction of Java code and the increased performance of declarative programming.

Can I take panoramic photos with my iPad?

I thought I could take panoramic photos with the camera in my iPad but when I open the camera and click on "options" I don't get the option to take panoramic photos. I read that it was possible on iPad 2 and assumed that it would be an option on the newer iPad with retinal display. I looked in Settings under cameras and couldn't see anything there.

You need to be connected to your own iTunes library in order to display the photos within it. Possible alternatives would be to upload your photos to Mobile Me or Flickr, although you'd need an internet connection for this, or stream them from an iPhone, iPad or iPod over AirPlay, although you'd still need a local network to do that.
Other Alternatives include a cable direct to the TV from an iPhone, iPad or iPod

Can you take good pictures with your Z1 Compact?

Hi,
So many people here complaining about the overall picture quality of Z1C (I’m one of them).
Sony offered me to send my phone to their service center so they could check if something was wrong with my phone.
I wonder if it could be the case and that after being fixed by Sony it could be a decent camera without the overprocessing, lack of detail and the noise seen on all my pictures now?
So i’d like to hear from you, please let us know if you are able to take good quality pictures. Maybe we are just unlucky people with bad units.
Also, do you think that the service center can actually do something with a bad phone or i'm just wasting my time?

camera on my Z1C does fairly good images (in manual mode, good light conditions), but I do think it's absolutely inadequate to the sensor size and resolution - there is extremely much noise in all of the pictures. In low light conditions, my HTC Sensation (over 3 yrs old, 8MP) does a better job than my Z1C, which is really sad. The post-procesing must be somehow flawed in Sony's phones (last Sony's phone I had that took IMO adequately good pictures was the Xperia S), because Apple or Samsung can produce quite the same (in good light), if not better photos (definitly in low light), with much worse optics.
There are many test photos in the internet reviews, which are probably the best you can take with the Z1C. I'd say it's a general problem of Sony, nothing they can fix at the Service Center, but if the procedure is covered in your warranty, it's probably worth a shot - your lens could be defected, resulting in blurry photos.

I am moving from the UK to USA. Can I take my iTunes with me?

I have an IPhone and iPad and have my music, videos etc saved on my PC and iCloud. I am moving from London to Chicago so can I transfer my iTunes account to the US when I set up a new PC there?

Unlike some Mac models, the eMac power supply is not auto-switching. Refer to <a href="http://www.currentsolutions.com/knowledge/countryspeco-z.htm" target=_blank.Volyage Specifications by Country</a>, your UK eMac runs 240v/50Hz while Us power is 120v/60Hz. While the results of plugging your UK eMac into a US power outlet won't be as spectacular as the other way around, it still won't be good for your Mac. The least intrusive fix is to visit an electronics shop and look for a power supply transformer to convert the US power feed to the UK voltage/frequency for your eMac.

Silly question - if I upgrade can I take my songs with me

Hopefully this is a dumb question. I currently have a 20 GB ipod color. If I wish to upgrade at some point in the future to a video ipod, will I have to pay again for the content that I purchased since Itunes is linked to one ipod?

No, as long as the songs are still in iTunes. You can use the songs with as many of your own iPods as you like.

writing complex objects in a way that works on all sorts of different
computers.
What you probably want is a Scanner. These things are designed
to read relatively simple data only (numbers, strings, lines, boolean
values etc) from just about any source (anything Readable).

The Palm Desktop will not interact directly with iCal or an iPod Touch—or, any other iPod—at all.
To transfer your contacts to the Address Book, export them as a vCard file from the Palm Desktop and double-click the file to import it into the Address Book. To transfer your events to iCal, export them as a vCal file and double-click the file to import it into iCal.
There is no way to transfer either tasks or memos from the Palm Desktop to iCal or any other Apple-provided application: only contact and event data can be exported into a form supported by the Address Book and iCal.
