Can I tint a day a whole colour?

I hve my calendar in month view, on the day today the box is tinted a very pale blue. I want to be able to tint, for example, a whole week my own colour to show that we're on holiday but I can't find anywhere I can do it. Is it possible? If not I might suggest it!!

I have a 'holidays' calendar for things like this. Basically, you make an appointment in the first day of your holiday, then add the holiday dates in the 'from' and to' fields. Tick the 'all day event' check box and this will give you a strip across the top of the days showing your holiday dates.
If you do wish to actually tint the whole day, then do not tick the all day event box - but it might not look as clear, especially in month view, as the all day events (birthday's etc) show as a clear highlighted strip over each day of the event.

I desperately need your help. I was working on iMovie last night when the thing froze up on me. I've tried rebooting. I've tried reinstalling the apps. No change. I can play some of the files- although I can't tell which ones will play until they magically appear. I can't get into the project library or the event library. The bar that lets me scroll through the clips is gone. Even when I can get something to play the whole system crashes after a couple of minutes and generates a "problem report" that says "iMovie Quit Unexpectedly". This all started when I was adding cutaways- and one clip just would not load. After I tried several times everything froze up. Have you ever heard of something like this? Maybe I pushed a button or somehow changed a setting? Maybe some of the video is corrupt? What do you recommend?

Can you report which days absence quotas accrued?

Through PT50 transaction, I can see that relative day when hours are accrued to an absence quota. This data seems to be pulled from table ZKO in B2 cluster. I would like to run a report for a group of employees to get the actual dates within a year that hours accrued to the quota. Does anyone know how to do this?

Video editing software only needs to save the steps taken to achieve the edit, and references the actual video files from the hard drive. So the saved files are only tiny, and it takes very little drive space to auto save to incrementing file names. I think most regular posters to this forum make a point of updating the file name of a large project every hour or so, and as a direct response to reading so many horror stories like your own. My digital audio workstation works on the same principle; it creates a backup save just in case things go wrong (which--knock on wood--hasn't happened to me) and only references audio/MIDI files that are related to the project.
My advice is to always, always back up sensitive documents. There are lots of ways of doing this, from manually to automatically. (e.g., A lot of higher-end routers let you connect external storage via USB so you can run backup software that detects any changes to a monitored folder over a network and then backs up any changed/updated documents to the connected storage. I prefer to do it myself manually, though.)

Can't add all-day events in iCal w/Lion

After Lion 10.7.1 upgrade, I can add an all-day event in iCal on my MacBook but not on my MacBook Air. On the Air an event added with no time just does not appear. On the Air an event added with a time appears, but editing the event and checking the "all-day" box causes the event to disappear.

I can only open to-days downloads not previous items, why not all of them?

When using downloads I can open all current day items but when attempting to open any prior downloads then I get no response.

Are you trying open from the Firefox download manager ?
Because maybe you changed the directory of the download or you can transfered the file to other folder, try go to the download folder and open through there

I photograph a bright red car in raw mode on a digital slr (Canon 20D) set to Adobe rgb 1998 and view it in BreezeBrowser and it looks just as I remember it. I open it into Pshop CS5 extended (which is set to Adobe rgb1998, Europe ISO Coated Fogra27, (as I am UK and this is what a calibration company set our works proofer to) gray gamma 2.2 dot gain 20% and its become a little desaturated. Sampling it and comparing screens and colours with BreezeBrowser its definitley less red, a bit more orangey red instead. I need to up saturation to return the red, both in RAW converter and also after image opened if not done so beforehand in RAW converter.
Colours just look muted.
What tests can I carry out to find out what is going on ?
Perhaps create a rgb 255 0 0 image in a way not influenced by photoshop and photo the monitor, then open this in photoshop and sample it. However that would be influenced by the exposure of the camera. Maybe I need to create a kodak grey card type image and establish correct exposure for the monitor brightness first. so what would that be as rgb ?
Any other ideas ?
I know though that Pshop is displaying duller. Once upon a time we had Adobe gamma and one would go through the calibration wizard to set up photoshop having already set up the monitor.
What do we have to do after installing CS5 extended or CS4 to ensure Pshops display is correct ?
I have Adobe gamma in the control panel, Is this something we still have to do in CS5, I wonder if its there because I still have Pshop 7 installed which used that wizard.

a big tip - why colors in Photoshop look different in other applications - is:
View> Proof Setup: Monitor RGB
that should duplicate what the other apps are displaying (the RGB numbers are going straight to the monitor with no color adjustment) - Photoshop converts/adjusts source colors to the monitor profile for a so-called 'true-color' display...

Can I invoke "Organize Imports" for whole project?

On the features page on labs.adobe.com there is a mention that Organize Imports should work for "projects". Does this mean that I can invoke this function for a whole project or do I need to do it file by file? If it should work for a whole project, how to invoke it?

"Organize Imports" isn't available at project level.
It has to be invoked file by file, as it not just removes unused imports but adds any missing ones, resolves ambiguous references and consolidates the import statements
