Can i track all the internet information that my time capsule his transmiting to other device connected

I want to know, if it's possible to track or have an history on all the data that my time capsule his sharing. I used in wifi with for others computer and we want to list to utilisation of internet data of every body.

The SNMP can show counters for usage but is not going to break it down by client.. ie you will get total usage of wireless but not usage per user.
In fact no domestic router does that. You need to get large expensive professional gear.
OR
There is one third party firmware that works.. but not on apple equipment. You will need gargoyle firmware.. just google for it.. on a suitable wireless router.. a WNDR3700 give you an equivalent to the AEBS or TC in dual band simultaneous wireless and works great with gargoyle. It will give you a chart of usage by each client and even allow you to set quota. Excellent and solid piece of work.

How can I import all the backups from an old Time Capsule to a new one?

My 2008 Time Capsule just crashed a week ago. Obviously it was out of warranty, and Apple just offered me a new 1TB TC for a reduced priced, and gave me the old internal disk in a plastic bag.
I want to import the information from the old TC to my new TC. Is this possible? How can I do this?

Your Apple service centre is very good.. they mostly refuse to help in any way.
You need a USB to sata converter cable and power supply or a USB disk holder.. SATA type.. although that is pretty universal now.. they are only a few dollars from most large computer stores or ebay. Plug the usb drive into the computer and copy the contents over to the TC. using ethernet will help btw.. if you only have the air buy a USB to ethernet or Thunderbolt to ethernet (if you have the latest one).. they are available from apple at reasonable prices.

I want to connect an Airport Express via WiFi to my internet connection and then connect its LAN port to the WAN port of a Time Capsule. Will then any device connected to the time capsule wirelessly be also connected to the internet?

Background is I can't hook up my time capsule directly to my internet connection via network cable. I tried to extend the network via Wifi, but that did not work. At the moment I have two wireless networks, one with internet connection and another one with my time capsule. So to use time machine I have to change my network all the time.

The AirPort Express will connect to your existing wireless network if the network is using WPA2 Personal or WPA/WPA2 Personal wireless security settings.
So, it can join the network as a client and then provide an Ethernet signal to your Time Capsule.
Be sure to configure the Time Capsule to operate in Bridge Mode so that it will be operating on the same network.

I would strongly advise you not to let it sit in the Inbox.
When you see this happening, try right-click on the affected folder, select '''Properties''' then '''Repair Folder'''.

Apps are only tied to one account... You can set up two iTunes accounts on your computer, however, and let his iPad sync to his account. If he has never backed up his apps to a computer, however, he will have to redownload all the apps. Afterwards, he can backup to iCloud instead of your computer.

Can I use apple TV on home network with time capsule or Airport Xtreme without being connected to the internet?

I'm wondering if I can use Apple TV to play movies and slide shows on my TV, play music over my sound system and print from my devices (Iphone 4S, iPad and MacBook pro 2011) by using an Airport Xtreme or Time Capsule (to back up the devices) if those devices are not connected to the internet. Can anyone advise pls? Reason for this is that I work on a moving ship and don't have an internet connection to speak of for much of the time (and if I do it's a wireless system that I need to pay by the minute and that is too slow to support the Apple TV), but would all the same like to create a wireless environment where my devices can interact with each other. I seem to get conficting info and a rep at the apple store in Honolulu told me that you cannot use Airport Xtreme or Time Capsule without an internet connection (it was busy, he may have misunderstood my question).

Don't try to home share it.. as that is dependent on using Apple ID.
Just airplay to the ATV.. iTunes: Using AirPlay
The movie should play exactly as your doing music.. but get rid of the whole home share if that is causing issues.. there is no mention of needing home share in the above..
If you still have issues you might need to do it other ways.. like export the movie from itunes.. and play it using vlc which should allow you to stream it to the apple TV using airplay.
That is a bit tricky and I have not used that setup but it should work.

If you have a hunt around you should find it fairly easy to do.. but straight airplay should work.. there is a very recent update to ATV which might help it with airplay.

I have had a time capsule for years and it worked well. Now my airport utility states it is unable to find any airport wireless devices. When I rescan, I get the same response. I access the internet wirelessly through my Time Capsule - that part works.

i was having the same problem. i held the reset button on my airport express for ten seconds, waited for it to restart and than unplugged my internet modem for 15 seconds and waited for it to restart and my wireless worked. but when i go to setup everything through the airport utility everything goes to crap and i have to start over again. i don't get it.

If you have a router already then both bridged otherwise one set to router and one to bridge.
How do you access the TC? Ethernet or wireless?

You could set different wireless networks.. if they use wireless.. this is nice easy way to do it.
You can set user account in the TC you want the business one to join with.. that will prevent access by the family.
So there is a number of ways.. none are particularly secure btw.. the TC is a home not a business device.. if anybody wants access they press the reset for one second.. pofff all the passwords are default for 5min.. to allow people who forget their password to get access.
On ML you can encrypt TM backups.. this is better for security if that is the problem.. and still use different user profile to prevent access.

I think Apple have good reason to recommend you don't do it.. eg.. you can easily corrupt the entire backup. So instead of having an up to date backup you will have none.
Use a 2.5" portable drive when travelling. When you get home.. backup to the TC as usual.

and now I want to move stuff.
So I have iMovie 09; Mac OS X 10.6.8; and a new 2T Time Capsule

Because iMovie won't work with files on a network -- it would be excruciatingly slow.
You need an external HD; or a larger internal HD; or to move some other stuff elsewhere.
Besides, if you have your backups on your Time Capsule, you don't want to put other stuff there anyway. First, how will you back up that other stuff? Second, mixing TM backups and other stuff on the TC will cause conflicts. See #Q3 in Using Time Machine with a Time Capsule for an explanation and some possible workarounds.

Some apps do allow cloud storage, or syncing to the desktop and then to another device. You'd have to check your particular apps' developer's websites, or tell us which ones you need help with.
