Office for Mac comes with a single or (for extra cost) a 3 license pack. Unless your sister has multiple user licenses you may not use her code.

Should i keep my 13 inch 2.3 8gig MBP? or trade in for New Air?

I was wondering whether I should trade in or sell my 13 inch MBP 2.3 that I received on Father's day 2011 for the New MPA. I was in the store yesterday and the new air seemed to be very quick in response time. I generally dont perform too many high end task. I will do recording on garage band and editing in imovie but otherwise normal routine task. I take my MBP to work on a daily basis and use it for presentations for my sunday sermons. Any thoughts? I dont want to lose anything but i like the look and jazzy air. Weight is a plus too.
If yes, second question would be whether to get 128 or 256? and can I upgrade the ssd later?

Generally (and in my opinion):
1) do not buy any computer you cannot replace the hard drive and the RAM in.
2) do NOT (EVER, EVER, EVER) purchase RAM or expended hard drive from any vendor (like Apple, Dell, etc). they mark up the RAM
purchase the lowest machine that will work for you and upgrade the RAM and hard drive down the road. Just look at the price Apple charges for the upgrade from 4GB to 8 GB:
Apple is charging the (4GB RAM + $100) for the 8GB upgrade. You can easily get 8GB for $100. later you should be able to get 8GB for $60.
Same thing for the hard drives:
Applis charging the price of (500GB + $100) for the 750GB drive. I just bought a 750GB notebook drive for $99
I, personally, would return the retina notebook for a MacBookPro that you can upgrade the hd and ram

How can I set iTunes to check for new podcasts at a specific time of day?

Anybody know a work around for this? I thought it was just a matter of clicking the refresh button at the time I want iTunes to look for new podcasts, but it doesn't seem to be the case...
I want iTunes to look for new podcasts at 2 am every day. So, at 2 am, I clicked the refresh button in the Podcasts section in iTunes. It would then say, in the settings, that iTunes last checked for podcasts at 2 am and will look again at 2 am the next day. Awesome, not. Every single time I try this, iTunes always resets itself and decides to look for podcasts at 2:49 pm. I can't work it out.
So, if anyone has a solution, I would love to hear it! I'm on the latest version. 9.0.2. Thanks for reading.

I'm looking for the solution to this issue too. Once or twice, a full system restart has seemed to solve the problem temporarily but it slips back to an afternoon refresh after a few days.
Seems like it would be simple for Apple to allow us to specify a time of day for refreshes in the preferences section.

You can open multiple tabs and switch back and forth like you use those boxes. In actual fact it's faster with tabs.

I hve been in your situation. I originally started with a MBP 13" and decided that i needed bigger, better, badder! So i went and got the 2010 17" MBP. Loved it, for about a month. It was such a pain to lug around because of its weight. Don't get me wrong it was fast, just too big for portability.
After selling it, i decided to try ultra small to see what i though about the Air. The 2010 11" Air was my first portable computer. I thought it was great, but... a little too small of a drive at 64GB, and i needed a touch more screen size.
So this week, I bought the 13" Air with the 128GB SSD, and i think i found my sweet spot. The size and weight is perfect, and the drive it just enough for what i need.
To overcome the "Hard Drive Space" dilemma, I did the following. I purchased an Airport Extreme, and plugged in a 1.5TB Iomega External drive. I configured the AEBS so that i could see the drive wherever i had wi-fi. So when i'm at school, and I need a document, I can just access my home drive, right from the Air. Works Great!
Oh, by the way... the Air has a great "ohh, ahh" effect on people when they see how thin. So worth it.
