Can I transfer apps on an ipad account to another account?

Okay so on our ipad, the account that was there to download apps and games are my mom's account and I also bought some games since she let me and lets me use her ipad and buy things on it.
but i want to make a new account with my own email (well i currently have my own apple id that i use on my itunes on the mac) since I want to look at my gmail and not my mom's since she has like over 1000 emails on it.
will i still have the games i downloaded? or will i have to re-purchase the games i bought and downloaded on her apple id?
side note: this is just 1 ipad that i'm using and i just want the apps to be on another account on that same ipad console.

You can't transfer purchases from one account to another account, they will remain tied to the account that originally downloaded them. As long as the apps are on the computer's iTunes that you sync to (and her account is authorised on it) then you should be able to continue syncing and using them on your iPad.

All of your apps should be on your computer.
Just sync them to the new device.
    You can also redownload
Download past purchases - Apple Support
Not all apps are compatible with both iphone/ipod and ipad.  Some are universal.

  • How can I transfer apps from one iTunes library to another?

How can I transfer apps from one iTunes library to another? My daughter has an iTouch, and I was managing it through my library. I have created an iTunes account for her, with a new iTouch, and would like to move the apps over. I tried to sync the old iTouch to the new library and it said it was already set up to sync with a different library. What is the best way to do this?

You can transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
To make the new computer the syncing computer you have to:
    - Transfer iTunes purchases lIke I described above
    - Make a backup of the iPod on that computer by connecting the iPod and then right-clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and selecting Back Up.
    - Restore the iPOd from that backup
She will have to continue to use your iTunes ID to update the apps prchased with your account. To use her account she will have to log into the computer with her account (iTunes>Store) and change the sign in on the iPod by going to Settings>Store.

  • How can I transfer apps purchased from one AppleId to another due to breach of account?

Due to a recent security breach not if my doing a user stole my apple id and needed to change appleid account.  Now as a result i've lost all purchased apps from the itune store. I would like to transfer apps from one apple id to another without incurring additional costs.  With sufficient information in direct contact with the store I should be able to transferable within the software or at very least with the itune store direct.  Perhaps this is a way of charging additional costs for same programs?
Not a happy camper because of the theft in id but now to add insult to injury i'll have to repurchase the apps to properly sync with my devices.
    Any help would be appreciated

You can't transfer iTunes content from one account to another. If someone had obtained access to your account credentials and you've had the account locked that should not affect the current authorizations on your computer, though it will prevent you from updating apps until you have resolved the issue. Rather than creating a new AppleID what you should do is regain control of your original Apple ID and have it reenabled with a new password, get, if possible, Apple to deauthorize all computers for your account (assuming you don't have 5 so can't do it yourself) then authorize your computers.

  • Can we share apps on two ipads using two different accounts on the same computer?

I just got and iPad 2 and am giving my wife my old iPad. She has a separate itune account for her ipod. Can we share apps on the two iPads with two different accounts running on the same computer?

    Dear Dah,
I now have two iPads, which I also (need to) have separate AppleID's for. I understand I can share apps between them if I authorize iTunes on my iMac with both ID's, but I am not quite sure about the correct way to do that. I already have the iMac authorized for AppleID#1. If I go into iTunes and click on Store/Authorize this Computer... and enter my AppleID#2 information into Account name and Password boxes, does this authorize my iMac's iTunes for BOTH ID's or does it just change the authorization from ID#1 to ID#2?
If the former is correct, I understand the way to proceed is to xync up both iPads to iTunes and then I can drag and drop apps from one iPad's library listings to the other, right?
If this is not the correct way to get dual authorizations, what is?
    Thanks!

  • HT201269 How can I transfer apps from my iPad to an iPhone?

Can notes from your iPad transfer to an iPhone?

You use the same Apple id with both devices. You go to the iTunes store and the purchased tab and download what you want. Although some apps are iPad only so they may not install on the iPhone.
that's app, notes? if you enable iCloud syncing on both devices then your notes will sync too.

  • Why, I can't transfer apps (games) that i've download from iTunes with my computer to my iPad?I already did before like authorization my computer, sync, backup files. But when I want to transfer apps, it's can't. Any clues?

I can't transfer apps ( games ) from my iTunes library with my PC computer to my iPad. I already authorized computer, sync, but it can't installed apps that I've dowload before with my computer from iTunes to my iPad. Why?

Hi all for those still poping over to this topic, here is one problem that has not highlighted in the forums.
if you have used different accounts to download different apps into your ipad/iphone you need to authorize the computer for both accounts.
eg. [email protected] downloaded 'angry birds' and [email protected] downloaded 'money converter' both accounts need to be authorized on the computer will you then be able to transfer all the apps.
this works if you also used more then 3 accounts to download apps to your ipad/iphone. if you can't remember which accounts downloaded then i can't really help you there haha.
    hope this helps!

  • HT2534 I have money on my iTunes account.  Can I purchase apps for my iPad with this credit?

I have a credit on my iTunes account.  Can I purchase apps for my iPad with this credit and how do I do it?

Yes. You can use any funds that you have available in iTunes for the App Store, iTunes, iBooks or the Mac App Store. Just go to the app store and tap on the app that you want to download. If the credit is available, it will be deducted from your account when you make the purchase.
You can swipe to the bottom of the featured tab in the app store to view your account balance.

Sync them via iTunes. All your apps should be backed up in your iTunes Library anyway.

  • Can I transfer app purchaces to a new apple account/id?

My question is this: can I transfer app purchaces to a new apple account/id?
some of you may ask why I'd want to do this. I'm moving out of my house soon and my parents want me to get my own iTunes account. I've purchased paid apps and in-app purchases on my iPod Touch and am wondering if my purchased apps and in-app purchases can transfer over to the new account on the same iPod.
iPod with apps on account 1 -> same iPod, same apps, account 2
Is this possible? even if I have to re-pay for the apps/in-app purchases?
All I really want to keep is the progress made within the apps. I have games that store their progress locally and would like to see the progress be there if and when I re-download the apps to my iPod Touch. Has anyone tried this before? Please respond and don't flame the newby

"can I transfer app purchaces to a new apple account/id?"
    No.

  • IF I UPGRADE FROM MY IPAD 1 CAN I TRANSFER APPS I HAVE PURCCHASED

If I upgrade my ipad from the ipad 1 to a newer model can I transfer apps I have purchased to the newer ipad?

Yes - you can either copy them to your computer's iTunes (via File > Transfer Purchases) and then sync them to the new iPad, or re-download them directly on the new iPad. If you want their content on the new iPad then copy the apps to your computer' iTunes (they need to be on there for the restore to work fully), backup the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting Backup, and then restore that backup onto the new iPad
