Can I transfer iTunes/App store purchases from 1 Apple ID to another? I have recently parted from my partner, everything was purchased under his but I now want to move it all to mine. Is this possible?

Please help.

On the premise that an application is irrevocably tied to an Apple ID it was purchased from, I want to pose another scenario similar to the original question of this post.
A small business purchased a Mac for a specific purpose. Given that no one in the business is savvy enough for Mac systems, they hire a consulting IT. IT then sets up the Mac and all the apps that came with it (and here's where the problem starts) under his Apple ID. Now that the IT consultant no longer services the business, he takes with him the rights for two apps, specifically iPhoto and iMovies, at the business' expense. He also needs to remove the Mac that's tied to his Apple ID but that's only secondary issue as admin rights on the device was retained. Two generations of OS X's later, with the current update Yosemite, those two programs are now inoperable. One might suggest to call back the IT and update the programs himself but that's beside the point. Terms and conditions were set to protect these apps from unlawful sharing, but in this case, an application was purchased by a user not using his own finances.
It's no longer a question on whether we could move an application from one Apple ID to another but I wish Apple can find a way to protect their consumers from unethical practices such as this.
Thank you.

Can I transfer my apps to a new iTunes account from my old one? How?
    Thanks.

No, you cannot transfer apps from one account to another iTunes account. Apps are DRM protected and forever tied to the account used to originally obtain them.

Transferring your prepaid cellular data account depends on your carrier. AT&T lets you move it yourself when you go to Cellular Data in Settings and log into your account with your previous AT&T user name and password. For iPads with Sprint service, you can set up an account on the new iPad and contact Sprint Customer Care (888-211-4727 and go through the menus) to deactivate the old plan and get credit for unused service. For Verizon, call the company’s customer service number for mobile broadband support (800-786-8419) and ask to have your account transferred.

Transfer it from your iphone to your computer then sync it to the ipad.
You buy one and only one download of movies.

  • How do I transfer an App store purchase from my MacBook to my iPad-WITHOUT an Internet connection?

I live on a boat in an anchorage. My iPad won't connect to the wifi in the anchorage; my MacBook Pro, with an external radio, will make the connection (sometimes). I want to purchase a couple of apps from the App Store and download them to my computer.  I won't be able to connect the iPad to the Internet--ever--but I can of course connect it via USB to the MacBook Pro.  Can I
    - purchase the apps from the App store
    - download the apps to my MacBook Pro
    - disconnect the MacBook from the Internet (it costs about $1 per minute for my connection)
    - sync the iPad to the MacBook
    - transfer the newly purchased apps from the computer to the iPad
Just a reminder--I _can't_ connect the iPad, ever, to the Internet.  The signal just won't reach that far.  I don't want to take either the computer or the iPad on a (wet) dinghy ride to try to get close enough to the wifi hotspot for the iPad to connect (maybe).  Both the iPad and the MacBook Pro are registered to the same ITunes account, but there isn't any way to connect the iPad to iTunes central for their servers to confirm this--only the MacBook Pro can be connected.
I also don't want to erase any info on the iPad--I have waypoints, navigation info, documents, etc., stored in various apps. Do I have to sync first to avoid losing this data?  (Hope it's not cloudy tomorrow and those solar panels will be pulling some amps!)
    Thanks,
    Sue
PS--I have OS 10.6.8  and iTunes 11.0.1 on the MacBook; iOS 6.0.1 on the iPad.

Yes, you should be able to buy/download apps from the iTunes app store on your Mac and then sync them to the iPad - neither the iPad nor the Mac should need to be connected to the internet to sync the apps over to the iPad
If the iPad hasn't been synced to that computer before then you may find this page useful : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141

  • How can I delete the app store purchased history?

The game shows up in app store(purchased) even after I deleted it. How can I remove it from the purchased history?

It can't be removed from your purchase history as that is permanently maintained by the iTunes store.  However, you can hide it in iTunes on your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919, after which it will no longer appear in your history on your iPod unless you unhide it in iTunes.

  • Can I transfer non-App Store apps to the App Store?

Almost all of the apps on my MacBook Pro were purchased from the developers' websites, in the days before the App Store.  I'm about to upgrade to a new computer, and realized that doing a clean install would be a lot easier if I could just let the App Store re-load my apps.
Is there any way I can assign my pre-App Store apps to the App Store so the App Store will upgrade them?

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico my first language is Spanish. I do not speak English, however I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
No, the Mac App Store is not capable of doing that.

  • Can I change the iTunes/App Store (country) for my Apple ID?

I will soon be moving back to the United States and would like to know if it's possible to change my Apple ID for use with the iTunes/App Store in the U.S. without losing all my purchases.

Not it it's an @icloud.com, @me.com or @mac.com address.  In that case your choices are to either create an email alias within the existing account, which delivers email to your existing iCloud inbox (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a490a), or create a new iCoud account.  Note: alias addresses are permanently tied to the account that you create them in; they cannot be used to create a new iCloud account or be moved to a different account in the future.

  • Itunes app store purchases

I will like to know why if the iphone 4 is a world wide selling device the itunes store content for my country is so limitted and when I want to purchase an application that I like from the US itunes app store I cant because my card was not issued in the USA and therefore I have no builing address and also I cant create a paypal account over the itunes store because I get an error saying that since I am not in the US the paypal account cannot be created for purchage in the US itunes apps store. *** is my money not valuable or Steve Jobs and Apple has so much money that my little international bank account is not needed.

If your credit or debit card bank account is associated with a company based in the U.S. then your purchases will not show up in the Pakistan store.
The iTunes and Mac App Store are actually one in the same. One of iOS devices the other for Mac OS X.

  • ITunes / App Store Card on file / Apple Pay

Currently I do not have a credit card on file with iTunes / App Store.  If I set up Apple Pay on my iPhone 6, will it automatically add this as a saved card in the stores or keep it only in Passbook?

    Hi ..
    No. Only Passbook.
But you can edit your payment information for iTunes on your iPhone > iTunes Store: Changing account information

  • Can I run Mac App Store programs from an external drive?

I have a 13" MacBook Air (128); but I have tons of programs that I have purchased from the Mac App Store, especially large training video programs. Even though I don't have a shortage of drive space yet, I certainly could find myself in that position if I keep ALL my programs and data on the flash drive. I really don't need to keep all these on my main drive; but I would like to be able to run one when I need it. Is there any problem with moving the program from APPLICATIONS to an external drive and running it from there? Should I leave the support files & folders (preference & application support) on the flash drive?
    THANKS.

Thanks for your help on this.
The MacBook Air is a joy; but the limited drive space is the only caveat. I really should have spent the extra money on the 256 gb flash drive; but at the time I was in the mood to go minimalist. Unfortunately that doesn't work well for me.
I have already moved all my music to iTunes Match and moved the backups to the external drive. I also keep most of my archive data on the 3 tb external drive. It's mostly those training video programs which are about a gig each that I want to move to the external drive ... ones I would not use that often ... so it's nice to know I can do that.
    THANKS AGAIN.

  • Can I transfer itunes library to mac from Windows PC via Home Sharing?

I'm trying to transfer my itunes library from my Windows PC to my Macbook via Home Sharing. I followed all the steps in the KB and everything was looking fine, but I can't get the import button to enable, if there something that won't allow this from a Windows PC?

Yes, no.  You can transfer your media files with Home Sharing but your library is more than media files.  It's your playlists, ratings, playcount, etc.  To transfer that:
iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music [library] to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527 - a somewhat bewildering and not always easily understandable set of options.
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive.  Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the iTunes Library.itl file in the moved iTunes folder.
For the record there's this reference for iTunes 11 but it really doesn't strike me as having the specifics you need. iTunes 11 for Mac: Move your library to another computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12168
Windows users see tip at: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18879381
If you put it in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music  then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there.  (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)

  • I can't sign into Apps Store after changing my apple ID

i just changed my Apple ID and now I can't access my Apple Store or Update my Apps on my IPhone. I tried logging into my Apple Account in the Settings menu. The account verification shows my proper ID, but when I put in the password, it doesn't recognize the Password, just clears the screen then asks me for my password again. Please help.

    Hello eiffel6534983,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of what you are describing. If you have recently changed the information associated with your Apple ID (not created an entirely new Apple ID), you may find the information and steps outlined in the following article helpful:
