can I transfer my email in outlook on my macbook pro (windows for mac) onto my ipad mini?Help!?

Outlook is an email client and that does not indicate if your email is POP or IMAP. If you have an IMAP email account, all of your emails actions will automatically sync across your devices. If you have POP, it does not work that way.
If you are asking if you can transfer the current emails on the Mac onto the iPad, no you cannot, unless the email is an IMAP account and they can download onto the iPad again from the server.

  • How can I transfer my photoshop elements information (catalog, etc.) from Windows to Mac

I have been using photoshop elements for year. I'm currently using version 11 on Windows 7. I'm considering switching to a Mac and getting version 12 there. But before I do that, I want to make sure that there is a way to convert or transfer the catalog and the pictures and videos from Windows to Mac. Any help is appreciated.

Sure. Basically you just do a full backup in windows using the organizer backup command and then restore it to the mac.

  • How Can I Transfer My Disk Image to An Identical Macbook Pro?

    Hi there,
I'm attempting to make an exact copy of my primary Macbook Pro's Disk Image (we'll call it Computer A) and transfer it to a nearly identical Macbook Pro (Computer B) so that it may function as a backup on the road. I use my computer for musical performance and need to have a backup ready to go in the event of any show-stopping bugs. I need to be able to open Computer B in case my existing one fails.
I've already made a copy of Computer A's entire disk image using SuperDuper! and now need to know what steps I can take to overwrite the hard drive of Computer B with Computer A's disk image, thus making a perfect clone of Computer A.
    On Computer A I am running Yosemite 10.10.1 on a 13-inch Mid 2010 Macbook Pro w/ a 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and 8 gigs of 1067 MHz DDR3 RAM.
Computer B is a Macbook Pro (Mid 2009) currently running OSX 10.5.8 (as it's old owner fell behind on OS updates) w/ 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and 4GB of 1067 MHz DDR3 RAM.
Will the Migration Assistant be able to do what I'm expecting? Are there any potential pitfalls I should look out for? Is Macbook Pro the best community to pitch this question?

You may try SMC and PRAM resets:

If no success, then you have a hardware problem.  Make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a FREE evaluation.

  • How can I sync the contacts from outlook on my macbook pro with my iPhone

My iPhone 5 is backing up on iCloud and my music, etc is syncing through iTunes (11.4) on my MacBook Pro 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3 but my calendar and contacts from Outlook 2011 are not syncing.  Does anyone know which settings I may need to change?  I have updated my operating system to OS X 10.9.4 and iTunes.

You'll need to find a way to export your Outlook contacts and calendar to Apple's Contacts and Calendar applications. There are some paid software apps that can do this but I don't know of any free way other than exporting each event/contact individually. Outlook 2011, when it first came out, synced well with iCal and Address Book (or whatever it was called) but that's no longer the case... maybe when Office for Mac 2014 comes out?
Sorry that I don't have an answer to what seems to be a common problem.

  • Can't transfer from iMac with snow leopard to Macbook pro with leopard

    Hey
I Have a bit of a problem and hope someone can help me out.
I have a 2008 Macbook Pro running on Leopard and my wife has a 2010 iMac running on snow leopard. We were trying to share some files and there was no problem from mine to hers. I've put the folders on my public folder and she picked them up and transfered them to her computer. The other way was impossible. I can see her computer on finder and i connect to it as a guest (as she did to mine), but nothing appears there, altough the folders are on her public folder. I've checked the settings and everything seems to be the same on both computers.
Does anyone knows whats going on?
    Appreciate some help

See this tip if your data isn't backed up:

In the future always backup your data before updating.

  • Can I use USB 3.0 to network a MacBook Pro to a Mac mini?

I'm looking for a way to have a very high speed NAS.  USB 3.0 offers the potential for much better performance than 1Gb ethernet.  I've seen a NAS product that has both 1Gb ethernet and a USB 3.0 connection, however it requires a reboot to switch interfaces.
So, I'm considering attaching storage to a Mac mini server, in the hopes that I could use a USB 3.0 crossover cable to connect my MacBook Pro to the mini when docked.  Hopefully, I could then achieve SS USB speeds while docked, but still have slower Wifi access to my storage when undocked.
I'll grant you that 1Gb ethernet when docked is a lot better than Wifi, but I'm trying to remove all the bottle necks here.
I've found a website selling "USB 3.0 Super-Speed A/A Cable Crossover" cables.  However, they specifically claim that there is no OS that supports using USB 3.0 in crossover mode for file transfers.  They sell the cable as an engineering debug and test cable only.
Has anyone gone down this road?
I don't suppose I could create a thunderbolt network instead? Target Disk Mode is not an option.  I don't want my server going offline.

You probably can't use the PB display at all--there are likely just too many differences between the MBP and the PB. One place you can go to check out display compatibility is PowerBook Medic:
    http://www.powerbookmedic.com/
You can look up replacement displays for both the PB and the MBP. My guess is that they will be different.
It sounds like the disgruntled someone owes you a paid repair to your Mac.
    Good luck!

  • How can i share my windows for mac with my iPad

I'm using microsoft office for mac and want to save the files to i cloud. How can I access these files using my iPad which doesn't have the office for mac software?

the carrier has to provide the option first, and generally you have to pay extra to have a personal wi-fi hotspot.

  • Can you transfer files from a pc to an external hard drive and then onto an Ipad

It is a seagate hard drive

You can use File Sharing in iTune to copy files over.

  • HT2265 I need to get photos stored on my Apple TV to my new MacBook Pro hard drive and my new Ipad Mini. Can someone tell me how to accomplish?

I need to restore my photos from my Apple TV hard drive to my MacBook Pro, which I put a new hard drive into. Also, would like to share them with my iPad Mini.

I assume this is a 1st gen device. It is not meant to be used as a storage device and I don't think there is an easy way to get them off

How can I transfer my email accounts and emails from my old macbook pro with ML to my new macbook pro with ML

Do you have your system backed up to Time Machine? If so, you can open your user Library and copy your Mail folder from Time Machine to your Desktop on your new machine; then copy THAT folder to your new machine's user Library.
To get to your user Library, open Finder and Go and press the Option key. Library will show up. Click on it to get into your user Library. Now go into Time Machine and you should see your user Library for Time Machine. Restore the Mail folder to your Desktop.

How can I transfer a sound file from my "Voice Memos" app on my iPhone to my iPad?

In iTunes with your iPhone connected, click on the iPhone device, select the Apps tab, scroll down to the File Sharing section and pick an app that plays Quicktimes ("Files Connect" works in this example, but I'm open to suggestions of better apps for playing transferred Quicktimes) and drag your Quicktime from Finder to the Documents pane for the File Sharing app.   Once the file transfer is complete, go to the app on your iPhone to play the Quicktime.

  • How can i transfer all my data 250 GB from external hard disk to MAC pro

How can i transfer all my data 250 GB from external hard disk to MAC pro

The simple answer is just connect the external hard drive and drag the files from there to wherever you want them to go. If you need to do something more specific, you'll have to provide more details.
