Can I transfer my Iphone info to my new computer?

Hi folks! Recently i bought Windows 7 for my laptop and i completely forgot to do a back up of my itunes library, so i have nothing in there right now. I still have everything in my iphone but i would like to know if i can transfer all my info from the iphone to the new computer (itunes)? in order to keep all my info (songs, pics, ringtones, videos and movies). If anyone knows how to do it or if its possible please let me know.
Thanks in advance!

First, Authorize the new computer in the iTunes store (in iTunes, Store/Authorize Computer).
It depends on the info. Purchased tracks and apps must be transferred using File/Transfer purchases, as already stated. Ripped tracks or tracks from other sources cannot be recovered this way. There are 3rd party tools that can do this; use Google.
Photos cannot be recovered without using a 3rd party tool (use Google to find one), and even after recovered will not have the original resolution.
Contacts and Calendar can be recovered. First make sure there is at least one entry in the Calendar and Contact lists on the PC. Then sync; you will be asked if you want to merge. Say Yes.
Application data on the iPhone will be backed up the first time you sync, but be sure to Transfer Purchases first.

I have a new work computer and I want to put my iPhone music in my iTunes on that machine, but it won't let me.  Why???

iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod, iPad, or iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
First you need to authorize the computer with your iTunes account with iTunes. With your iPhone connected at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.

can i transfer ipod touch content to a new computer via the ipod?

    Yes.
But first, with iTunes open in the menu bar click Store > Authorize This Computer.
Then from the iTunes menu bar click File > Transfer Purchases From...
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
You don't need third party software to do this for iTunes purchases.

    I am a bit of a computer/Internet/iTunes dummy....
I am concerned about the health of my current computer but have not yet made the commitment to a new one, but:
    1) How can I transfer my iTunes account to a new computer when I get one...
    and
    2) What can I do if my current computer suddenly implodes and I have not yet 'copied/'saved'/otherwise protected my account, as is? -- I have already had my computer crash once and had one of your people help me restore all of the paid for songs (none of the uploaded from my own collection of CD songs, of course, so I had to spend a long time rebuilding that) -- and I believe I was told you could only help me recover that material one or two times altogether, no?
WithOUT purchasing a Mach or iCloud (I actually think I have one of the later, but rarely have checked it) account, is there anything I can do to responsibly protect my account?
Thanks for any time taken on this!!!

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
    Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
    Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have iOS devices and haven't moved your contacts and calendar items across then you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should  merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

You are allowed up to 2 activations on the same platform. So if you have a Windows laptop and desktop you install and activate on both.
De-activate and uninstall only when you are satisfied the new install works before you give away or recycle the old PC, otherwise you can use the old one if the new one goes in the repair shop.

How can I transfer music from nano to a new computer?  Old computer is gone.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc.
Use your backup copy to put everything on the new computer.
If for some reason you have failed to backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from your ipod.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases

For purchased songs you can plug the iPod into you new computer and use the "File > Transfer Purchases from iPod" feature in iTunes. For music not purchased from the iTunes store you will need a third party program to help. There are a few of them out there, and they are easy to find on Google.

Yes, but only to store them on it; iOS applications can't be run on a computer. Having bought the iOS version of an application doesn't entitle you to download the Mac OS X version for free; the developers need to create and maintain them separately.

1). Connect your iPod to your new computer. If it is set to sync automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.
Alternatively open iTunes first and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box "Disable automatic syncing for iPhones and iPods" and choose Ok. Then connect your iPod.
2). When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
3). Once you are connected and your iPod is safely in manual mode there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. iTunes will only give you the option to copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads etc) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. I use Senuti but have a look at the web pages and documentation for the others too. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here (you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well):

iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
4). Keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.
5). I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

You can download CS4 here. Download CS4 products

Lightning struck my old computer, how can I transfer my music from the Ipod to the new computer (Windows XP) Itunes library?

You don't need to buy anything from the spammers that infect these forums. There are plenty of free options.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
For all other non purchased music (your own CDs etc) try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
    See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
