I love the Address Book in my MacBook Pro & keep a lot of data for each person in it. The "Address Book" in my Mac Air is not as complete. Is it possible to copy the entire Mac Address Book to my Air?

If you want to be able to view the book with iPhoto on the other Mac you'll have to copy the library containing the book to the other Mac. You won't be able to import that book into the other library.
Make a duplicate copy of the library containing the book and rename the folder "Book Library". Open it with iPhoto and delete all of the files that are not in the book. Then copy the Book Library folder to the other Mac and open. You can also burn the Book Library folder to a CD as a way to archive the book in case you decide to order another copy at a later date. I create a separate library for each book I create and order and archive it to CD when I've ordered.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Be careful with the transfer talk. Keynote for the pad and the mac are slightly different- so make sure the template they plan to sell you will work on the pad, as opposed to a mac.
If you can get it as a file, you can e mail it to your self, or stick it in drobobx and bring it down, or use your normal syncing device.
How are you syncing your pad now, with a PC?
if they are selling it for the pad, they must have a way to get it to you. So spend some time on their website and see if they have some good instructions for you.

I thought it would be possible to backup the travelling machine and restore the machine at the office from the new backup.

For the music and audio books it depends upon where they came from. If they have DRM protection and the DRM is not compatible with the iPod/iTunes then you are out of luck. Audible.com audio are compatible with iTunes/iPod and you just add them to the Books library of iTunes. Music, if compatible, is just added to the iTunes Music library. Phots will sync just fine to the iPod. See:

been trying to use some of the answers here but it just doesn't work. I change to a new macBookPro and saved my adress book (3.6MB), InBox and just can't transfer to the new computer (sistem).
The transfer is made, but nothing showsup?
and now I can't send our messages, except for some ?!
I tryed to make a new folder on my desktop and place the mbox on it and rename the folder with the termination .mbox and import the new file, but again nothing happend ...

Your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Tiger. However, the major Operating Systems: Jaguar, Panther, Tiger, Leopard must be installed from an install disk, which, as Niel indicated, needs to be purchased. Updates within an OS, from 10.4.4 to 10.4.11 for example, can be installed either via Software Update or downloaded as stand-alone updates form the Apple website and then installed.
If you do not already own the Tiger install disk, you might consider Leopard instead, since your computer meets the technical specifications for Leopard, and the cost of Tiger and Leopard are essentially the same $129 from Apple.
I would suggest that you seriously consider upgrading your RAM. Although the RAM you have will run Tiger, it will run much better by boosting your RAM by installing at least one 1 GB module. Your compuuter will support 2 - 184-pin PC-3200 (400MHz) DDR SDRAM up to 1 GB each. You can upgrade them both or upgrade to 1.5 GB for now.

You have to remove the hibernate mode (do that at your own risk, 'cause if your computer is running out of battery you can loose some data),
so into the terminal do :
to remove the writting operation of the RAM on the SSD : sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0
to remove the writtent data and to recover some GBytes : sudo rm /var/vm/sleepimage
to come back to the original mode : sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 3

My Mac Air finds my home network server, a D-Link DNS-321. When I try to use the smb:\\ip address command, it asks me for the user name and password and shows a list of volumes on the server. Also, when I ftp to the server, I can only read files and cannot write files to the server. Again, is there a system setting blocking me?

A: you would never ever want your entire SSD full of pictures, for many reasons.
Average pic is 1.5 MB
70,000 pics at 1.5MB will = 102GIG
So, if you had your Air with average number of APPS, and took ALL THE FREE SPACE and jammed it up with pics (which nobody should ever ever do)
you could jam in 70,000 pics ....roughly
NO computer is a data storage device, .......buy an external 1TB HD for $70
Never consider any computer a data storage device at any time under any circumstance, rather a data creation, sending, and manipulation device. Anyone who thinks data is safe on any computer, even copied upon multiple partitions is making a mistake that will, without fail, strike.
