    Hi everyone,
    I switched from HTC Thunderbolt to an iPhone about 3 months ago.  I was told that I would be able to connect my HTC via USB and add my photos to iPhoto -- no dice.  A folder called NoName appears on my desktop, and I can open all my images... the problem is I can't drag them into iPhoto.  Also, as soon as I disconnect my HTC, the files will not open.
    Please help, as I have photos on my HTC that are irreplaceable.

  • I can't transfer my photos from iphoto to a folder..

    After I import my photos from my phone to iphoto, i always move my pictures to a folder i made in my documents. Now, for some reason, it does not let me transfer the pictures. As i drag the pictures to the Finder, it does not let me release the pictures into the folder. I have tried several times now, over a period of a few weeks and it still hasnt fixed itself. help

    You realise that this is just wasting space, right?

  • How can I transfer RAW photos from iphoto to a separate folder. I want to send RAW photos to someone to process.

    Hello I use iphoto as my place of storage of my photos.
    I want to take some of my RAW photos out of iphoto and plac e them in a different folder to " send" to someone who wants to " edit".
    I am not the one who will process the RAW i just want to get the RAW to the person that needs them.  But my RAW are in iphoto
    It seems that if i just drag a RAW picture from iphoto to dektop it does not retain its RAW size.
    please advise
    I just want to be able to send RAW photos that i have in iphoto to someone who will edit them.

    Where are my raw photos and how do I get to them (if anyone knows please explain in very simple terms).
    File -> New Smart Folder
    Photo -> is -> Raw
    will find all your Raws.
    As described above, exporting with the Kind set to Original will get them to the Finder.
    You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

  • I have a new mac and my old mac had my photos on it how can I get my photos onto iPhoto without using a external drive or flash drive?

    My dad put a new mac in and the old Mac had my photos on it, and I checked iPhoto after it the new computer was plugged in and there was no photos in it, and my dad said that they should be in there but they aren't, so is there a way to get my photos onto the new Mac without the old one and without an external or flash drive? Because a lot of my photos I don't have on my camera because the memory card was full and the pictures that I had already had been on the old mac....
    Thanks!

    Have your dad post de what happened - you need to be at least 13 o se these forums and we need to be able to understand what you are asking
    the basic answer to moving photos is Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc)  or use an external hard drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.  but you say you do not have the old computer
    Unless  you have a backup or there is more information the answer is there s no way now

  • I bought a new computer running Lion 10.7.3 and transferred my applications and files from my old Mac using migration assistant but I can't find/transfer my photos from iPhoto and I can't find my old documents such as previous tax returns.

    I bought a new computer running Lion 10.7.3 and transferred my applications and files from my old Mac using migration assistant but I can't find/transfer my photos from iPhoto and I can't find my old documents such as previous tax returns.

    Look for them on your old computer, when found copy the files to a USB drive and move them to the new computer.

  • How do I transfer a photo from iPhoto or the Desktop onto my Samsung phone GT S5830i ?

    Can anyone please tell me how I can transfer a photo from iPhoto or the Desktop onto my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT S5830i phone ? The phone won't connect to Kies.  I've uninstalled Kies.  I've tried with Bluetooth and USB cable; all to no avail. I'm running Mavericks on a Mac.  Many thanks in anticipation,  Derek.

    You can export the image from iPhoto to the desktop
    File -> Export

    Unfortunately, the rest of your query - i.e. - getting it from the desktop to that phone is one more for a Samsung forum.

  • How to transfer my photos in iPhoto from my Macbook (white 13in) to MacBook Pro (15in)?

    I have an old MacBook (white 13in) and I need to transfer my photos in iPhoto to my new MacBook Pro (15in).  How can I do that?

    - Transfer iTunes purchases by:
    iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here:
    newer copy
    - If you have synced photos you will need a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView. The also do music
    - Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right-clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
    - Restore the iPod from that backup. The restore will also update the iOS.
    Note that the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music.

    can you transfer a photo book you've started on one mac to another?

    Duplicate the library in the finder. Using iPhoto you access the contents of the library. You can not duplicate it there
    To copy the library between machines you connect them together (he depends on your machines and set set up. Could be via moving an external drive, via a network, via FireWire, etc.) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from one Mac to the other

    My Mac uses Yosemite OX

    With all due respect to my knowledgeable and helpful colleague Gail, I think your question is about moving the photos in the opposite direction - from the Mac to iOS.

  • I can't transfer my photos.

    I can't transfer my photos (jpeg format) from my pictures folder or iPhoto onto my external hard drive.  Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?  I used to be able to just click and drag.

    The hard drive is a western digital (my passport) hard drive.  The format is Windows NT File System (NTFS).  I still have 657 GB of Storage left on it.  I have about 92 GB of photos on the external hard drive right now that I don't want to lose.  I tried verifying the disk but it keeps saying verify volume failed: Invalid request.  I'm starting to doubt myself, but I was pretty confident I have used this hard drive before with my macbook pro (before I updated my software to Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)).  I know I've used it before on my old pc laptop.  When I highlight my photos and drag them over to my hard drive folder I just get a circle with a slash through it and the pictures go back to my photo folder.  Hope that makes sense.

  • How can I transfer my photo taken with iPhone5 filters maintaining filter effects ? I always have colored photo without filter effect on my iMac !!!

    How can I transfer my photo taken with iPhone5 filters maintaining filter effects ? I always have colored photo without filter effect on my iMac !!!

    no completely satisfactory answer but you can :
    1) email photos to yourself (tedious if you have a lot of filtered)
    2) create shared file in iPhone and bring into iPhoto (and maybe Aperture - not tested yet) with filter effects
    3) import to iPhoto and add effects from there (likely needs latest version to mirror iPhone filter)
    see this thread for more explanation on these workarounds: iPhone isn't transferring photos taken with built-in filters
