Can I transfer the license of an older version of an Adobe product?

The Adobe guidelines state: "The transfer of a license includes all versions of that product. If you sell or donate your registered copy of an Adobe product license, then you transfer your rights to all versions of that license as well."  Does that mean if you transfer, for instance, a CS3 product, that you lose your license for the current version that you are still using?  In my case, the current product I am using is NOT an upgrade from the earlier version, but was purchased outright.

In that case you have two separate licenses (one for CS3 and one for the current version since it's not an upgrade) and are transferring only one license, so you should be OK.
