Can I download and try Firefox 4 without trashing my current version, 3.6.17.

After removing 3.6.17, you can install 4.0.1 without losing bookmarks, customizations etc.
If you don't like it, then simply remove it and reinstall 3.6.17
Here's the procedure with links to both downloads. 
#Go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0.1] and download a fresh installation file to the desktop.
#Go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html Download Firefox v3.6.17] and download it to the desktop. 
#Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box). 
#Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 
#Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier. 
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation. 
Firefox 4.0.x is radically different than previous versions, but you can change it to look like its predecessor like this. 
* Right click a blank part of the tab bar and click "Tabs on top" to remove the checkmark. Tabs will subsequently reappear below the search bar. 
* Repeat the same steps, but click the top one called "Menu bar". This will reinstate the text links at the top. 
* To rearrange the layout, repeat the same steps again and choose "Customize". A panel will open and while that remains onscreen, you can move elements like toolbars, buttons etc around and place them anywhere you wish. You can also drag anything you don't like into that panel and add anything you want by dragging it out of there. 
* To replace the status bar at the foot of the page, install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/

Your iTunes folder (normally under ~/Music/iTunes) contains files that tell iTunes what you have in your library, playlists, genres, ...These database files have extensions of .itl and .xml. Deeper in the iTunes folder you have the actual media (movies, songs, tv shows).
Uninstalling iTunes and then reinstalling iTunes should not impact your iTunes library. It will change iTunes settings like window size, if you have the sidebar turned on, and the like. I do recommend you have a backup of your iTunes folder but at least save copies of your .itl and .xml files.

Currently I can only import 3 video clips at a time. Any more than this, freezes the entire computer. I re-installed imovie on a different drive just to test the results of a fresh install. I was able to import a large number of clips without any problems, on the drive with the new install. This tells me that a new install should fix my current problem.

Well, quit iMovie, trashed the playlist and relaunched. There were two; com.apple.iMovie7.plist, and com.apple.iMovie.plist. I attempted to import a dozen clips, and the computer froze as before.
The clips I'm importing were originally dragged from the cameras hard drive to a desk top folder, because my iMovie06 didn't recognize the Sonny HDD camera, so at the advice of Sonny, I saved the files from the camera to the desktop folder, so I could deal with the files later, and not loose them completely.
I then installed iMovie08, and attempted to import the MPEG2 files from the desk top. They were grayed out, so I couldn't import them. I then dragged the files back to the camera hard drive and attempted to import them. This is when this particular problem started. I have a feeling that iMovie just doesn't like these MPEG2 movie files after being dragged to the desk top and back to the camera again for import.
The three at a time import method, though irritating, is a work around to this problem, I discovered.
So I guess when I'm through importing these "problem files", in three's, I'll try "reseting the app. again as you suggested, and see if I can import the MPEG2 files directly from the camera, as it's meant to be done.

Like John says , it is better to upgrade to latest Adobe as they are 64Bit based so they would perform much better on your Mac.
It can make proper use of your RAMS and graphic card.

Can I delete an account without loosing all the emails?

I now haw 2 accounts in MacMail, each with their own handfull of mail. One account is for a now obsolete email address.
I'd like to delete it, leaving me with only the current and active email account / address. However, I can't loose all of the emails that at associated with the obsolete account.
Any way to delete the account without deleteing all of the messages associated with it?

First of all, quit Mail and make a backup copy of the ~/Library/Mail folder, just in case something goes wrong while trying to solve the problem. You can do this in the Finder by dragging the folder to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down, for example. This is where all your mail is stored.
If you create custom “On My Mac” mailboxes in Mail and move there the messages currently stored in the account’s mailboxes, you won’t lose them as a result of deleting the account. How to do that is explained in the following Mail Help articles:

Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.

IMac partitioned for Windows 7 Pro. Can I upgrade to Maverick without loosing Windows data?

I am currently running 10.6.8 on my iMac (summer 2010) and have partitioned it to run Windows 7 Pro. I would like to upgrade to Maverick so need to know if I will loose the applications and data on the Windows partitioned part of my iMac? Yes, and with your external hard drive, the external hard drive has to be configured for Boot Camp and have Boot Camp installed before you proceed. I suggest giving yourself an external drive a little larger if at all possible than the internal, so you have a possibility of installing a separate rescue partition, if needed.

There is actually something you can do with the settings on your devices. As long as you only want your personal information split, you can use two IDs on the same phone to do it.
Your Apple ID is stored in 4 places in your Settings app. Only the iTunes and App Stores settings governs purchases, so that is the one you both want to be signed into the same ID for. The other 3 are iCloud, FaceTime, and Messages (under Send and Receive). FaceTime, iCloud, and Messages are the settings that use your personal data, but do not affect purchases. Signing into a different ID for each of you on those three and keeping the Store settings the same for both will let you keep your personal information the separate, but still share purchases.
If you need it to do something else, let us know and there might be something else we can do.

Ok, here is what I would do for that situation. I would back up all your photos on a memory stick, then create a new photo library and re-upload all the photos to the new library. If iphoto wont let you even copy your photos, you should just schedule an appointment at the genius bar. This has never happened to me, but if it did this is what I would be attempting.

Hello. I'm so new to Business Catalyst that I don't even know what questions to ask... Any help would be appreciated!
I designed a customer's site in Muse, giddy with glee that I can finally, FINALLY handle e-commerce sites. I'd heard that all a person has to do is design the site, upload it to Business Catalyst, install a "module," and viola! Done! Great - I have a Creative Cloud subscription, so I get five sites hosted free. This sounds perfect!
But... I published my site to BC, and I see no way to install the "module." I fear I may have to purchase an additional plan to get the e-commerce doohicky? I'm not sure I want to pay $420 for a year's access to the e-commerce part just yet - I'd really kinda like my customer's approval on the site first, and he's not gonna do that unless he can see how things will work.
Is there a way to do a "trial run" with e-commerce before going live and having to pay the $420 a year? I'd really like to see how it all works and give my customer a chance to see a test page before committing that kind of money... Is that possible?

You can create another account outside muse and instead within BC to test all the features we offer. Although you cannot add a payment gateway in trial you can still do an offline test transaction to test the experience.

I have a HP Computer, bought in summer 2010. Have never had any problems but this summer the charger (and the battery) started sounding like a "hissing". It is by design. Windows Client operating systems only support one active session, no matter what you use the same user account or different user accounts to log on the machine.
When you use a different user account to remote access to the machine, Windows will prompt the user who already signed in to accept or decline you access. If the user accepts
the request, you will be able to logon and the user’s session will be disconnected. If he declines, you will not able to access.
However, when you use the same user account, the original session will be replaced by your session.
