Can I turn off page numbering?

Hi, On iPhone plus the page numbering icon floats to the LH side of the page creating an ugly distraction, ideally I would like to turn it off completely. I didn't have this issue the android version of the app which was more or less flawless.

Hi, thanks for the quick response. I traded my HTC M8 yesterday so now I can't check but from memory I think the page numbering was relatively unobtrusive on the android version. Maybe because it's smaller, neutral in color, anchored to the corner and not floating a fifth of the way up the page? I use the app for architectural presentations, both versions render multipage 150dpi A3 images and (concept) vector drawings quickly and beautifully, the obtrusive page numbering on the iOS version is my only issue. I switched to iPhone partly to make it easier to connect directly to a TV or projector using the apple VGA or HDMI connectors negating the need to carry an iPad or laptop around. The ability to turn the page numbering off or if it were anchored to the corner, smaller and maybe transparent would make this app perfect for me.
im not sure about the previous version of reader on iPhone as this is my first but I use reader on iPad and don't have any issues, all my presentations are exported from adobe creative suite.

To turn off displaying net names on your schematic:
Go to Options > Sheet Properties. The Sheet Properties dialog shows.
Select the Circuit tab
In the Net Names box, set to Hide All
These settings are sheet (page) specific. Depending on your design, you may need to specify this for multiple sheets.

Turn off page numbers in ibooks

I am writing a booklet so when you fold a 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper in half you get a small booklet that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. I am using the ibooks Author basic template called "floral structures". Since there is two pages of book per one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11, I would like to have each page numbered but ibooks author thinks that one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 is one page so I end up getting only half of the book pages numbered. It is driving me bananas. Can someone help? Tell me if you need any more information. Thank you.

How to turn off automatic numbering in Pages

I recently had a problem getting rid of automatic numbering within Pages.
I keyed in a numbered heading (eg, "1. H1") and then hit return, when it gave me another numbered heading ("2. H2") on the next line, which I didn't want.
The easiest way to get round this is to hit the return key on the automatically numbered line (eg, "2. H2"), which removes the "2" and puts you to the start of the line. This seems to tell Pages that you don't want automatic numbering, at least for the time being. Perhaps until you key another numbered heading...
To turn off automatic numbering on an individual line you can press the "i" button at the top and select "None". That will remove the number.

The View menu does what it says:
Menu > View > Hide Invisibles

Which problems did you have that you decided to reset Firefox?
Note that if you have visited pages before on a server via a secure connection then Firefox will prefer to using a secure connection (a reset imports the history).
You can set the Boolean browser.urlbar.autoFill pref to false to disable auto-fill on the location bar.

Refresh (Command-R) now comes up with a warning that the Inspector will be closed and changes will be lost.
Can I turn off this warning, or dismiss it using a keyboard shortcut?
I guess there's the lingering feature request of keeping the inspector open on a page after a refresh, but that's a more involved change than turning off this warning. A simple boolean in about:config would be great.

Can't turn off multiple pages per sheet

Can't turn off multiple pages per sheet - I used this option for one pdf document and now the settings are sticking. I don't want to always print 2 by 2. I was able to set a Custom Multiple page to "1 by 1" but this seems silly. How do I get the default single page printing back?

If you are refering to documents such as Pages and Numbers files....
The only way around this is to "save as" you icloud documents using the associated app to a local folder on your mac. Then turn off icloud.
Of course, when you sign off of icloud, the docs are removed from the mac, but remain in icloud. In the future when you sign back in, the documents are available to you again.
Oh, and the icloud documents are also stored locally in ...
~/Library/Mobile Documents
Note that Library in the user's home folder is now hidden, so you'll have to set Finder to view hidden files.
The Mobile Documents folder has subfolder where copies of the doc/data files are stored.
You can move these files to another folder to save them.

My team and I have to implement a security requirement to suit our company's needs.
The security requirements are that, users' password need to be aged (30 days maximum) and we need to provided a GUI front-end (JSP) to allow users to change their password when these expire after 30 days.
Our internal contacts in the company, have already taken the lead to find out about whether we will be able to use the WLS 6.1 platform to do this and the answer we got back, was.
Now we need to develop our own security module.
I have 2 questions:
1. How can we turn off the WLS security in order develop our own application-based security module?
2. How can we develop a security module that allows us to age users' password and provide them with facilities to change their passwords when these expire?
At the moment, we are using the default BEA WebLogic login.jsp page and there some configuration in the web.xml for this. I will be grateful if you could advise me on how to turn this default security off so that we can write our own security module.

Can I turn off Macbook while Time Capsule is archiving Time Machine backup to a USB drive?

My Time Capsule is archiving my Time Machine backup to a USB drive attached to it. I have initiated this process on my macbook (on the same lan with the Time Capsule), on which I am monitoring the archiving progress on the Airport Utility. Still almost a couple of days to go... Can I turn off my Macbook, or will that interrupt the process of archiving?

The archive is happening.. I turned off the computer it was setup from.. running Mavericks and latest utility once I got it started. I have been checking from v6 utility on Mountain Lion.. and it is excruciatingly slow. But is running.
I can check the progress but v6 utility is utterly and completely useless.. it continually shows the same numbers.
v5 utility does show it is crawling along.

Look, look, there is a tiny blue fleck in the progress bar!!
v5 utility shows the actual progress. Actually tells you total and amount backed up so far.
Amazing how advanced v5 utility is over v6.
The estimate of 10hours is probably correct at the present rate of progress. I suppose for 500GB, around 50GB/hr is about what we expect from TM backups etc.
I will post another picture in an hour and probably kill it then before I die of watching paint dry.

Double tap the Home button and swipe the app preview page up
iOS 7 also allows apps to run while they aren't open.
You can manage these here:
Settings > General > Background App Refresh
