Can I UNDO iTunes?

I have noticed this question kinda posted a few times. I ahve an extensive collection on DJ mix cd's, and for example I recieved the SXSW sampler cds last year. 2000+ bands in one compilation...
I installed iTunes and had no clue it would take my folder called SXSW 2006 and make it 2000+ individual albums, all with 1 folder in them called SXSW 2006. All my dj albums are now completely screwed. All 14 Buddha Bar CD's are now 280+ individual folders named after the artists.
Is there any way to undo this and get my music back into their original folders? Is there another program i can buy that will put track 1 from X album in the same folder as track 2 from X album... I wont even mention how it took all of my nicely catorgorized albums and stripped half of them out into various or unknown artists. Please help me get my music back.

Hi, thanks for the immediate response. I have already tried that. I turned the Home Sharing option on and off many times, but no change. I can no longer add the devices to get a new pass to pair them again and even when I turn on Home Sharing from my iPad, it just prompts me to turn it on again!
My IPad can't even see my library any more and prompts me to turn on Home Sharing over and over.
My iPhone can still see it but cannot access it.
I guess that if I don't find a way to allow my Mac to accept them as remotes again, I won't be able to use the Remote app either...

Connect your ipod upto thecomputer
View > Show Sidebar then you will see your device on the left hand side.
Select Device by clicking on the name
Select Music from the options on the right
untick Sync Music
Click Apply bottom right.
All the music should now be taken off your ipod
When Finished
re tick Sync Music Select what Albums, Artists, Genres and playlists you want
Click Apply and you should be back where you started

That indicates something went wrong. Make sure no anti-virus software or firewalls are running on your system. Make sure iTunes is up to date. Then, follow the directions here to force the phone into recovery mode & restore it:

Synced new phone with old phone settings. Can I undo?

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 3gs to a 4. I used the 4 for three months before I synced it to my iTunes. (I just used iCloud for contacts...etc). When I plugged in my new phone it synced to the settings from my 3gs. How do I get all of my photos, messages and contacts back? Can I "undo" the restore if I it was never backed up to my computer in the first place?

Focus on a single file that shows with an exclamation mark. Select it, press CTRL+I to Get Info, click No when prompted to locate the file, and look at the location given on the summary tab. Now use Windows search to locate the file by searching for files with the same filename. Post back both paths and I can suggest a resolution. In the unlikely event that the original has really vanished rolling back to an earlier version of iTunes won't fix anything.

Had the same problem. Also worked fine on my MacBook, but not on my new iMac. Here's what I did to fix it:
Archive and Reinstall Mac OS (takes about 40 minutes). This reverted my system back to 10.6.2. Just pop in your Mac OS disc that came with your computer. Mine had 10.6.2 on it, and "Archive and Install" is the default option. When it's done, run software update and update everything. Now it all works fine.
Somewhere along the way, some file got corrupted somehow. But doing an "archive and install" of your OS undoes whatever file damage was incurred, and allows everything to update normally via Software Update as it should.

I have 3 iPhones and 3 iPod syncing without problems on one computer.
Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
On your mum's iPhone go to Settings > General > About > Name - put in your mum's name so that iTunes can tell them apart.

Great news on finding your lost devices! That has got to be a major relief. The following Knowledge Base article offers the possible ways of restoring your data onto your devices after an erase has been performed:
iCloud: Erase your device
If you erase then find your iOS device, you can restore the information on the device using iCloud Backup (if backup was turned on before you erased it) or iTunes. For more information, see iCloud storage and backup overview, or the Safety, Handling & Support section of the iOS 8 user guide for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. If your device has iOS 7 or earlier, get the user guide from the Apple Support website.
If you erase then find your Mac, you can restore the information on the Mac using a Time Machine backup. For more information, see the Apple Support article Recover your entire system. If you set an EFI firmware password on your Mac before it was lost, then erase it and later find it, you may need to take your Mac to an authorized repair center to unlock it before you can use it again.

If you go to Settings > Music and then toggle off Show All Music that will prevent from seeing your downloaded music. I have also provided other articles for hiding purchases and even deleting purchases from iTunes in the Cloud.

Can I Use iTunes Store without Storing Bank Accounts, etc, in my Profile?

Today a fraudulent charge of $89.99 appeared on my iTunes account. This suggests that a hacker has obtained my password, and hence access to all information in my iTunes account, including credit card or Paypal account information. I can deal with having to claim refunds for fraudulent iTunes purchases, but I cannot afford to risk ID Theft, or to have my back account information in the possession of hackers.
(1) Is it possible to maintain an iTunes account that does not store bank accounts, and ideally stores no personal information other than my email address?
(2) If I can do this, I assume I'd then have to enter that information for each purchase. Will this information be expunged once the ourchase is complete? Or would it remain on the system in some form, accessible to hackers?
(3) If (1) is not possible, how do I cancel my iTunes account? There does not seem to be such an option on the iTunes Account Management screens.

You can remove your credit card from your account. Go into the account, click "Edit payment information" and you will see the option under credit card to click "None."
For purchasing, you can either enter the card info per transaction, or you can start using iTunes gift cards which are readily available.
