I successfully installed version 12. Will I lose any projects created in 9?

Are you referring to how many times can I install, uninstall, reinstall Photoshop Elements 13 or Premiere Elements 13 on the same computer?
Or, how many of your computers can have a same purchased activated serial number at the same time for either of these products?
If the former, I know of no limit.
If the latter, the answer would be as John as mentioned.

I just purchased Photoshop and premiere elements 12, order number AD010421682 and the download process was confusing and I couldn't start it. I operate windows 7 64 bit.

Can't install Photoshop and Premiere Elements 10 on an iMac
Hi, failing miserably to sort this out. I had downloaded trial versions of both products previously but these became time expired. I purchased the disks from a vendor but on trying to install get an initialisation error. I downloaded the support advisor and it reported ''cpsid_83572r4: Error committing command when installing - Creative Suite 5.5.''.
I believe I've removed all elements of the previous install(s) but not according to the errors when trying to install version 10.
Appreciate any help or guidance.

I tried creating a new admin account and they installed ok. Still won't install under my usual admin account which had the trial installs on. Still stumped!I'm assuming it's an issue to do with the fact that there must be some remnants of the old trial installations but can't find any other Adobe files that might be still there. It still won't get past the ''installer failed to initialize'' stage. I'm IT literate on Windows but fairly new to OSX so this is doing my 'head in'. Never known something so easy prove so difficult!!!
I don't really want to go about creating new accounts just because of this issue. Can you explain what you mean by a permissions issue? Reader X installed fine from the DVD. It's just PSE10 and PPE10 that seem to fail.

I've been messing with computers since 1958 and I've never seen such a mess as trying to download and install the recently purchased copies of Photoshop and Premiere Elements Version 13. Slow downloads? Sure, but I can live with that. But once downloaded, what next? Look for a xxx.exe file somewhere in the pile? Read the "ReadMe" file? All I seem to get is unzipping some files with nothing leading me into the proper steps. I can't even seem to get off the ground. Everything I touch unzips and just lies there. I hate to think I've gone dumb after all of these years, but "user friendly" this is not. My "Your order confirmation" sheet gives me "Follow the instructions below to start using it today" and the first three steps work as you'd expect. Step 4 states "After you have completed the download process, your serial number will be displayed in the download center." Step 5 is "You can log back into 'Adobe Account Management' in the future to re-download your product or retrieve your serial number. ...." I have no problem with my serial number but there seems to be a lot missing between Steps 4 and 5. It would be nice to have this information as pretty standard "stuff. Computers are supposed to do super stuff without a lot of time-consuming problems with a simple process like installing the software. I'm feeling a bit hostile about this but it is a time-consuming, frustrating process.

Cannot activate Photoshop and Premiere Elements 13 on Mac
my hard disk crash and I have to reinstall Mac OSX on my system. After new Yosemite OS installed, I restore all user apps and data from Time Machine. After entire, Elements Organizer 13 started to behave abnormally. The app open with a help request dialog window in the middle of the screen, and I cannot close it.
so I proceeded to uninstall Photoshop and Premiere elements 13 and a,so Elements a Organizer using built in Uninstaller
aafter uninstalled, I proceed to reinstall both app using the original app files ai download d when the apps were purchased.
it ask for serial number, I enter the serial correctoh but both app refuse to activate, stated that the serial cannot be validate and ask me to contact support
i do so and have chat with Adobe support for more than 30 minutes, no solution Offered which is so frustrating. I ask the tech support to provide me instruction an new serial key or method to solve this problem by mail. But there is no follow up at all.
what on Earth can I do to reinstall and activate both apps?

I bought the Adobe student version of Photoshop and Premiere Elements a few months ago - and now I am trying to use it, and the serial number that I have is incorrect - or it is only the registration number or something? It says I should have been sent an email with the serial number once the product was registered - But I never received this email. If anyone is able to help me with this issue - that would be great. the registration number is: PEPEP6-5578-6450-8871-9107 I am using a windows based system
If I were you I would first make sure CS6 was deactivated or signed-out. Then download Adobe's cleaner and remove cc, CS6 and any other creative application installed including Creative Cloud desktop application. Then install CS6 and use your CS6 serial number during the install to activate CS6 standard or extended which ever the serial number is for. CS6 Version 13.0 should the be activated. That level of CS6 is extremely bug ridden so be sure to the use CS6 menu Help>Updates to get CS6 updates. Windows should update to version 13.0.1.3 Mac to version 13.0.6. Not Subscription CS6 version 13.1.2...

If you registered your copy with adobe, you may find download links by going to the main page of adobe.com and clicking on My Adobe and working through the links there. If they're still available there, save the downloads this time, don't just run them, since adobe only makes those available for about 3 years.

I currently have Photoshop and Premiere Elements 12 installed on my mac and when I go to upgrade to 13 the price increases from just buying the two because of the sale. Can I just buy them for the cheaper price and uninstall the current version? ..or do I have to upgrade and pay more money?

Whether you buy one "full" version and upgrade it several times or buy several "full" versions, after installation, the end result on your hard drive is exactly the same.
The only difference between upgrade and "full" is the price you pay at the time of upgrading.
If the "full" version happens to be cheaper than the upgrade then buy the "full" version. Nothing lost. Nothing gained.
A "full" version actually makes your life easier since you only need to enter one serial number if you ever need to re-install. With an upgrade, you have to enter the upgrade serial number plus the earlier version qualifying serial number - people often lose the previous version serial number. -

1. I have Photoshop and Premiere Elements 9.0 currently installed. I would like to download and try Photoshop cs5 extended. I know they have different Camera Raw versions and other items different. Will they conflict with each other in any way? Will the newer camera raw support for Photoshop cs5 extended break the older camera raw support in Photoshop and Premiere Elements 9.0?
2. Was also thinking about downloading and checking out Lightroom trial, would the organizer in Photoshop and Premiere Elements 9.0 conflict at all with the bridge or whatever is used in Lightroom?
3. I love the quick touch ups and teeth whitening etc I can do in Photoshop Elements 9.0, is there a comparable tool in Photoshop cs5 extended or Lightroom? I mean I am sure you can do anything in Photoshop if you're good enough at it. But I like that in Photoshop Elements 9.0, it has the dummy version where I simply point highlight and click.

Do you know if there is a basic reference somewhere on adobe for performing tasks on both pieces of software? Thanks to you I know how to replace the teeth whitening function, but what about for instance the "slimming" tool, or the eye lash darkening tool etc? I know I can google each tool I am sure. But is there a single "bible" like reference for the various commands or tool functions shared between the two? Are there any books you recommend etc?

lucYou might want to reconsider due to version 13 coming out a few weeks ago. MAybe you can change the purchase and exchange for version 13. In the meantime you could install the trial version and use those for 30 days while waiting for a serial number to appear.

that depends whether you were using the subscription cc version or the perpetual license version.
if you can open, for example, pse, click help and if you see activate/deactivate you have the perpetual license version and do not need to renew. if you see sign in/sign out, you have the subscription version and will need to maintain your subscription to continue to use your cc program(s). -
I have problems with my Photoshop and Premiere Elements 10
I've had Elements 10 and Premier Elements 10 since February and they've been nothing but trouble, constantly closing and, in addition, I believe causiing other programs, such as IE 9 and those in Office 10, to close also.
They've disappeared again and, again, I am unable to download them. I've been on Chat, followed instructions with no result, and spent about 15 hours trying to re-download them. Again. I just don't understand this. I've had a running dialogue with Adobe and gotten nowhere.
Must I order and pay for the discs? If I get the discs, will my results be any different? (Better or worse?)Branching to a new discussion as this is not related to the previous error message posted.

It is possible the disc is defective. Can you read the contents of the disc? If you are unable to find a file that resembles an executable for the type of system you own, then you should contact support to confirm that your discs are faulty and they can probably point you in the right direction for obtaining new discs.
