You need to move all your data from the original computer over to the new computer first.

No. By design, the iPhone will sync or manually manage iTunes content with ONE computer at a time. If you switch computers, all iTunes content will first be erased from your phone, then replaced with the content from the new computer. There is no way to retrieve the 4 digit code. You have to restore the device if you don't know the code and you cannot unlock the device. There have been more than a few users that are asking about this and they are all saying the same thing that you are saying - they never set a passcode before.

Having a problem with iTunes 10.7 update and syncing songs to my iPhone 4

Can anybody help me out please. I just recently downloaded iTunes 10.7 and whenever I try to sync songs to my iPhone 4 it freezes for about 5 minutes. I go onto my phone to check if the songs have been synced and it says they're there, however, they won't play. Instead of the song name being in a black coloured font it's kind of in a white/grey coloured font and you can't do anything with them. Does anyone know what the problem is? I tried uninstalling iTunes then reinstalling it but that hasn't worked either. I've also tried to reset my phone to its default settings, although the same problem occurs.

New to iPhone and only just braking it in, as it were.
It looks like the only way I can upload music onto my iPhone is via synching my entire library onto it. Which, if I may say so, is an incredibly stupid and debilitating design - amongst other severe shortcomings of the iPhone I am slowly discovering over time. Is it not possible to drag-and-drop like the good old iPods?
If this is indeed the only way to load music, what's the easiest I can pick out my favorite 2000-or so tunes and put them on there?? Don't tell me it's clicking on the boxes next to the songs in the Library page, because that's when I will start asking for my money back...

I don't blame this person whatsoever for making the assumption that the iPod portion of his phone would work similarily, if not the same, as the iPod.
But it does work the same as the iPod. As with an iPod, you can sync all songs and playlists, or selected playlists, or you can manually manage music and videos. You can also select sync only checked songs and videos under the Summary tab and uncheck the songs in your iTunes library that you don't want transferred to your iPhone. This can be used with syncing selected playlists - if you want to remove a song from your iPhone that is in a selected playlist without removing the song from the playlist in iTunes, you uncheck the song in the playlist in iTunes followed by a sync. There is no difference with an iPod in this regard except for the iPhone not supporting disk mode.
In order to manually manage music and videos with an iPod, you must select this under the Summary tab for the iPod sync preferences, and the same for the iPhone.

Or the iPhone can be sold to someone else with the proceeds used to purchase a different phone. I haven't read any reports about someone having trouble selling their iPhone used at a good price even if damaged.

I try to sync all my photos on my iphone and for some reasons, when they appear on my iphone, some events (when i go to events from mac) are incomplete (photos missing in some events) and randomly presented as opposed to being sorted by date like they are on my iphoto on my mac. It sounds like you are syncing photos from iPhoto on your computer but not all the photos you set to sync are actually coming over, and they are disorganized. Based on what you are describing, I would recommend deleting the iPod Photo cache which stores picture information that iTunes uses to sync photos from your iPhoto library. When you use iTunes to sync photos to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod, iTunes creates a folder called iPod Photo Cache. The iPod Photo Cache stores photos that are optimized for display on your device. The location of this folder depends on the syncing options you select. In iTunes, if you change the selection in the Sync Photos From menu, a new iPod Photo Cache folder will be created (and the previous folder will remain).

What is the best way to sync media onto the iPhone using iTunes?

I know of two ways- one is be simply dragging items onto the iphone folder. The other is by clicking the iphone folder and selecting which playlists,artists, ect I want to sync.

But I want to be clear: normally when we use the word "synchronize" or "sync" we are referring to an automatic update to the latest version of the document, whatever the document.
Just to be clear: to "transfer" documents is not really the same as to "synchronize". I will add to the question here with my thoughts. Please excuse me if the om only wants to transfer documents.
We have tried, over many months, to use SugarSync. It worked great when I only put in about 10 files to be synced. It took the latest version and updated it on the other computers that were connected. But when we tried to sync the whole disk ... we just could NOT get it to work right. Meaning it would scan absolutely ALL of the files on the computer looking for the ones that were modified rather than just taking the lastest ones modified and syncing those. Their tech department was not much help: I followed all of the steps they told me to do but we just could not get it to work right. What a disapointment (and a loss of money).
I would love to find a software that automatically detects what the last modified files were and it will update ONLY that on the other devices (no matter what kind of files they are).

My New Unlocked IPhone 4 S is showing "310-410" as a carrier while roaming (instead of AT&T)

Yesterday, I wanted to buy an unlocked IP4 S from New York Soho store.
They told me that they don't have unlocked in stock, but if I pay full price ($649) they can unlock an AT&T phone for me.
I said ok and purchased the phone. They put my Turkish sim card in it and itr worked greatly.
My operater is Turkcell and they work with AT&T in US. Normally in most of the time I see AT&T in the left top corner as a carrier. But sometimes, AT&T changes to "310-410". Does any anybody know what does it stand for? Is it normal? I can make calls or messaging in 310-410 mode as well but I still couldn't understand what it is.
In some of the forums, I saw some people had the same issue. They went to talk to a genius and Apple changed their phones with the new one.
Do you think, I also need to return my phone? Is there any difference between a factory unlocked and an ATT unlocked phone?

You may have not understood that he was referring to an Apple Store in Soho, but it was obvious to me that was his intent, I have shopped in the store, and it is something he cleared up for you in a later comment.

IOS7 Syncing issues - Single song deleting using iTunes.

Since iOS7 on my iPhone (and all iTunes updates since the iOS7 iPhone update up to 11Oct13), I have massive problems updating my iPhone. The problem being that I can make minor changes on my phone and then sync my phone, but my phone reverts to all the old songs, apps, etc.. from the last sync. What simple setting am I missing? I've never had this problem before, and why does itunes have authority over my iPhone on the sync? Can I change this? Why can't I delete single songs off my iPhone using iTunes? It's bloody frustrating.

You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.

Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content.

If you are saying that you both have iCloud accounts and use the same icloud ID, then yes, the contacts will be deleted. The idea is that all devices using the same icloud ID are kept in sync. You need to use different IDs. You can keep the same iTunes ID so you can share the songs and apps. But use different icloud IDs.
