Can I update my iphone 4 to the iphone 4S software ?
Hi
I have an iphone 4 and it has been playing up a bit . It works fine , by this I mean you can use it to make calls text and all the rest , however when I try upload any new music from itunes on to the iphone it will not work at all . I have tried over and over again . My friend told that I need to update itunes or my iphone software for it work again . My itunes is all up to date however when I try to update the iphone it keeps coming up as error .
As far as i'm aware, there is no actual 4/4s software.
Both phones run iOS 6.0.1 Firmware, it's just the 4 some features are disabled on the 4 (Siri etc)

Just a thought, but as gdgmacguy suggested, I'd start with the obvious and delete the backup, then try again. -

what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you see when iPhoto opens?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

You are running an ancient OSX on your Mac. Since you didn't share what Mac model and model information with us, we cannot tell you if you are able to upgrade or not. You need OSX 10.6.8 at a minimum to run iTunes 11.2

You mean update your iPhone software? Yes, you can do that on any computer, but it REQUIRES an internet connection & yes the software needs to be downloaded unless already on the computer and the exact version for your model iPhone.

can i updating my iphone to the 4.2 version using itunes here in colombia now?The 3G was never sold as unlocked in the USA. So this phone has been hacked to work with any carrier. Updating it will remove the hack and re-lock it to AT&T making it usless to you. If you can avoid buying it I would. If you still want to purchase it... NEVER UPDATE.
