Can I update to Photoshop CS6 from a Web Premium CS3 ?

Hello everyone,
The question is directly in the title. I bought 4 years ago a Creative Suite Web Premium CS3. Today, I only use Photoshop and Illustrator and would like to update just these softwares to CS6. Can I do it ? Can I just update these 2 softwares even I did not buy them separately ?

Unfortunately, no.
You can only upgrade a Creative Suite to another Creative Suite.
With CS3, you have until Dec 31, 2012 to upgrade to CS6. After that, CS3 is no longer eligible for upgrade, so then you pay full price for CS6.

Umm, no. That is an hoplessly out of date software that no longer qualifies for any upgrade pricing. if there ever was, it probably would have qualified up to CS2 or something like that... You will have to buy a completely new license and the current version is CS6, not CS5.

You can have both Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe Photoshop CS6 on the same system and both will work fine.
In case you need to remove photoshop CS6 from your system, you will first have to deactivate it so save the activation count which you can use it for the future to reactivate.
Activation:
Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
Start the application.
Choose Help > Deactivate and choose one of the following options.
Deactivate or Suspend Activation. These options deactivate the software but retain licensing information. Choose one of these options if you want to temporarily deactivate the software, and you're planning to activate on this computer again.
Deactivate permanently. This option deactivates the software and removes the licensing information from your computer. Enter the serial number again if you want to use the software on this computer.
Deactivation:
CS6: You log in with your Adobe ID to activate your software when you install it or within the first seven days of use. Follow the steps below.
Steps:
Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
Start the application.

Yes. You have to deactivate it on one computer and then you can install it and activate it on another. Technically, your license allows you to have Photoshop CS6 installed and activated on two computers, you just can't use both at the same time.

Error installing Photoshop CS6 (Design and Web Premium)

A similar error occurs if I try to install all of CS6.. I've had Revo Uninstaller delete all the registry keys/leftover files and tried reinstalling.. I've tried installing MS Visual C++ 2010 independently of the install. No dice. I have homework due tomorrow (of course) and my photoshop broke.. And will not install now..

Error installing DW from the web premium CS3 suite

I have DW 8 educational installed. I tryed installing the web
premium cs3, all the programs got installed execpt for DW. so I
uninstalled DW 8 and all associsted files and registry from a list
I found in this forums. still I coudn't install DW. the error is
not specific it is: "an error occured while installing DW".
I don't know what else to do.

I would first go to Adobe's website and check FAQs there for
similar
problems. They have a system of fixes that you must first go
through
before they help you more.
Once you have exhausted those options, call them.
I was lucky in that I had an error number that I could use
and when I've
called Tech Support, they got me up and running "pretty
quick."
I went through a similar situation but mine was getting
caught up on
Adobe Acrobat.

As John says, they don't make it easy to find. CS6 is now almost 3 versions back with no more updates being rolled out for it.
As an alternative to purchase, you might want to consider the Photography Plan which includes PS CC and LightRoom for $9.99 per month. At least, that way you'll be eligible for updates as soon as they become available.

I can't update my Photoshop CS6

I just bought a new Macbook Pro retina display so I passed all my program from my old laptop to this new one, but my photoshop and all my other programs look pixelated so I read that I had to update the programs so it won't look pixelated. I downloaded the update here Adobe - Photoshop : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop 13.0.6 update for CS6 but every time I try to update it this shows.
What can I do to solve this?

If you transferred the programs from one machine to another that might be the problem. Adobe programs should be installed like you did originally, not transferred.

We bought photoshop (CS6 design and web premium) a year ago. After one year we receive the notice that our trail version has expired and that we need to buy the official version. This is trange since we already bought it a year ago

Tasc_redleader which update exactly are you trying to apply? Your screen shot indicates an update to Photoshop CS6 but your installation log appears to be for Extension Manager CS6.

Update Adobe Photoshop CS6 is two way different :-
First : manually you can download from adobe
and the others
Second : adobe bridege - help - updated
Now i have all update from first and second.
Only i want to know the place to keep it

Thank you. I read the steps and looked at the log and this is the key error:
ERROR: DF045: File corruption detected. Re-install the product & then apply the patch again.
To re-install the product do I first uninstall using the Windows facility?
Do I need to re-install from the original product disk? If not then where will I find a link to download the product and re-install? (I can only find links to CC).
