Nothing will be deducted from your credit card if the app is free.

It would be best for you to open iTunes, sign in and view your account. If all the purchases were paid already instead of entering your new card information, it will give you an option for "NONE" as a payment method. Again this is not applicable of you have a pending charges with iTUnes

Can't use without supplying Credit Card info

Got a new iPad2. Installed iTunes. Mistakenly created a new AppleID using iTunes store instead of AppStore and now it keeps asking for my credit card details to complete the creation process. Can't delete the iTunes account and can't create a new AppleID with the same email as it's currently tied to the iTunes store account that will never be completed (can't bypass CC info.) Some say "use another email" but I'm not interested in using some other email. I have one I want to use with Apple and that's it.
Apple...quit asking for CC information. Should only provide CC info when I'm purchasing something. You have no right to this info if I'm not purchasing anything. And don't ask me to provide one then remove it later. You ain't getting it, period.

Sorry dude, that method does not work. If you bothered to read by message you'd see that I can't create a new account because my email I use in the appleID is already in use by the iTunes store and I don't want to use any other email except that one.
Unless someone can help me around this, I'll just return my iPad.

You need to immediately pull credit reports to see what else he has done. Then "freeze" the credit report at all three agencies. That way even you need to lift the freeze to add credit cards or other credit items to your SSN.

I have been wanting to get a separate iTunes account from my brother because he spends all of my money. The only problem is, I can't continue without a Credit Card or PayPal when I go to sign up for a new account. My parents refuse to let me use their credit card, and I am sick of my brother using all of my money.
When I signed up for my first account, I did not need a credit card. I have no idea what I did to sign up before, but I can't sign up for a new account now.
I really need the help because I am ready to lose it if my brother steals one more dollar from my account.

You use a debit card just like you use a credit card in iTunes. You have to enter the card number, security code and billing address as you would with a credit card when you set up the ID. You can make changes to your payment method in your account at any time.
If you want to create an Apple ID without using a credit card you must first sign out of the Apple ID that you already created in Settings>Store>Your Apple ID.
But ...you will also need another email address now if you already created an Apple ID, because that first email address is now associated with that first ID that you created.
If you do have a debit card, you may just be better off entering that card information into your account and use that now. You don't need to even use the debit card if you can purchase iTunes gift cards and redeem those. I use iTunes gift cards exclusively now instead of using my credit card.

The "None" option is not available. Presumably because I have already purchased on that Apple ID with a credit card.
That is not likely the case. As you can see in my account in the US store I have a bank card in place and I have the None option.

I'm trying to create an Apple ID for some elderly folks that want something as simple as checking the weather and potentially other free apps but at no point can I create an account without a credit card, an idea that's very bad for folks that are not at all technically savvy.
Various guides suggest there's a 'none' option for payment type if you attempt to create the account with the need to obtain a free app in the app store but this option does not exist, we only have three credit card options. If I change to USA, I have more options like Paypal but none of them is 'none'. Also tried the UK, still didn't work.
Can anyone advise me as to how we can 'review terms' without entering a credit card? It's difficult for me to explain they can't do as much as they want to do with their new $400+ purchase because they need to use their credit card for authorization.

If you update the primary email address on the account that you've already created then you should be able to try using to create another account - you can change the primary email address by logging into it via http://appleid.apple.com, or by logging in via the Store > View Account on a computer's iTunes. You can create a 'throw-away' email account to put on the existing account via http://gmail.com or http://hotmail.com
I'd be surprised if the info that you've just been given about gift cards or credit cards is correct, iTunes gift cards aren't available in a lot of countries (and they are country-specific) and a lot of people don't have credit cards - they'd effectively be preventing a lot of people form having accounts.

I setup an iCloud account and now I do not have a 'none' option for payment type. This is a business computer, so I can not put a credit card on the account. I've read that manual & I tried: there is NO OPTION to select None, whatever way I try.
Perhaps there is an issue with the newer iPod Touch OS version (tried this on a brand new iPod, iOS version 5.0.1)?

Where are you located?
Just go and buy an iTunes gift card at any store in your country.
Then follow all the steps you did, but when it asks you for the credit card number, there shoujld be a GIFT CARD option which will let you load your account witht eh funds form the gift card without providing a credit/debit card #.
